They have cute signs around that tell you a bit about their process, like they make croutons and bread pudding out of the bread innards, super cool! The guy behind the counter making our sandwiches was so incredibly nice, too! I asked him if I could try the tarragon vinaigrette and, instead of giving me a squirt in a plastic tub or something, he grabbed the toasty end of my bread to squeeze some on. That was just next level wonderful service and now I know that I love tarragon vinaigrette and loaves of toasted bread stuffed with salad! Love bread zeppelin but this location always gives much smaller proportions than other locations.

This is in fact the OG Bread Zeppelin location, which is sadly undergoing a remodel at the current moment. I've always liked them, but have actually grown to appreciate them more as time has elapsed. My recommendation is to get a salad, and then order the baguette(s) on the side, basically utilizing the Chipotle burrito bowl method. I am also missing their lighter than air balsamic dressing, which no longer appears on the menu. The proteins are quite good; grilled chicken, crispy chicken, flank steak, bacon etc. They have several leafy greens to choose from, arcadian mix, spinach, kale, iceberg, and romaine. If you know what you are doing you can have them make you one heck of a salad. The service is usually good, but occasionally there are some granola girl types working there that might have a touch of attitude, but it's of little consequence. So far as the interior is concerned it was always acceptable in my estimation, and I am not quite sure if a remodel was absolutely necessary, but I'm sure it'll remerge even better than before. Also I have noticed a number of bogo deals on Uber Eats during the week, which is quite efficient for feeding 2 or more people for a reasonable cost. read more

This was a recommendations by a friend and definitely will go back. They have a season special one going called chicken tinga and just delicious. I did do the salad in the bread pocket over the bowl. There were no tables when I walked in, by the time I got my food there was and open table and a table that someone was saving with a laptop. That table was next to mine, after eating the laptop was still there and no one had sat down. I let the cashier know that there was a random laptop there and he informed me it was the managers. Kinda inconsiderate if you ask me, and now I wasted my time and energy trying to be a good citizen by informing the establishment about an abandoned laptop and now writing this review, lol. Food is great, service is not. I usually order online for pickup - the location is tough to park longer than a quick run in. I would say 60-70% of the time something is wrong with the order. I've received chicken instead of steak in my salad multiple times (this wouldn't be a big deal but steak costs more). Another time, they called and told me they were out of the soup in advance, no problem - but they still charged me for it. I've also had difficulty with large orders for group lunch. I ordered hours ahead of time and without warning the order was over 30 minutes late (again parking nightmare having my car sitting for 30 min where I shouldn't have been parked). Multiple occasions I've reached out to their feedback email for reimbursement on the overcharges for the wrong meal - never have heard back. read more

AHHHH - I always say the act of eating salads is too much work for the payoff. Bread Zepplin has solved the problem with a chopped salad stuffed tightly inside a roll. I ordered the cobb zeppelin and added olives - quite tasty and I would happily go back. I have some minor gripes though: The menu online does not prepare you for 4 (FOUR!!!) menu additions, I was all set with my order walking in - them I am pummeled with additional options that also looked tasty. It is incredibly difficult for the workers to hear your order - there is a loud fan going inside, and between that noise and the COVID masks - I had to repeat myself 6 times for the 2 zeppelin order. The guy making mine was obviously new as he had to keep looking back at the menu to know what ingredients to include, which is fine really, but his mask continually slipped off his nose while he was making them. A Zeppelin is a warm, crusty. hollowed out French loaf stuffed with thus said chopped salad. It sounds a little odd but its so damn good guys. Every bite has an evenly distributed portion of ingredients and its all dressed. They only cut off one end so there no mess either. I love the Southwest or the Atlantis, they have quite a few well thought out salads, but you can certainly build your own. With the fresh ingredients and quick service, this would be a regular place if I lived here. I tried the Pacific Beach which included avocado, artichoke hearts, cucumber, and a delicious cucumber dill dressing. I added chicken and went with the Zeppelin style... Of course. I've been a frequent fan of Bread Zeppelin for awhile. I loved their concept of chopping up the salad ingredients into finer bite-size pieces at the end of the line. It was "their thing." Their salads were the best because of this mantra. Until Q4 2019...I went in not knowing they had implemented a company-wide change. They no longer chop at the end, because they insist they pre-chop the ingredients into bite-size pieces, and this makes the line go faster. This is not the case. The lettuce, chicken, onions, everything is still chunky. The salad lost its specialty, it's no longer cool to have. I hate they made this change, their food seriously does not taste the same since making this short cut. Why did you fix something that wasn't broken? Truly disappointed. read more

First off I got to talk about the main attraction which is the bread. The bread is a 10 out of 10. The first thing that was brought to mind was that scene in Ratatouille where Colette was talking about what makes a good bread (which was the sound). It was so crisp on the outside soft on the inside. It was practically magic. (On a side note, I am hearing that we can buy the bread alone and thinking about making one of our creations using this bread brings a lot of excitement). The wife and I substituted the greens for kale and spinach and it was definitely the right move. Everything came together wonderfully except for just one thing.....the chicken. Now the chicken was not bad or rotten or anything like that. It was just very under-seasoned. Now for some people, this may be what they are looking for because this would be the more healthy route but for us, it was heavily noticeable and the only thing that stopped this from being one of the best things we have tried. Next time, if we do decide to get the same thing, we will most likely request no chicken and this would be really good. The *employees* here are great people. They do what they can with the directions they are given. I have great respect for them working hard while being paid so very little. The management, however, is utterly deplorable. They put $$ before service. They are terribly rude and treat their pick-up patrons like they would beggars loitering around their shop ( not that such vile attitude is ever acceptable, no matter anyone's circumstances!!!!). I went to Bread Zeppelin when it first opened, and I'm happy to see that it's still around years later and just as good. They have several salad bases that you can choose from - mixing possible if that's your thing! There is a variety of topping, protein choices, and dressing. Two things makes bread zeppelin stand out. 1. They chop the salad right in front of you. That is so helpful so you're not chewing on a huge piece of kale. 2. They stuff, if you choose so, your salad into a hollowed out baguette. So good if you're not concerned with the carbs. Again, I'm happy to know that it's still around and has not compromised on its quality! I don't get to get it as much now since i don't work in Irving, but it is a necessary stop before I get into the office in Addison on the days I land in DFW in the afternoon. read more
