Robbie & Rita continue to impress me by their incredible problem solving skills and adaptability all while maintaining an open friendly demeanor. Now that the printer has been replaced I can't imagine going anywhere else. In particular, their printer is able to navigate my flash drive's nested file structure. Other printing services in town offer kiosk self-service and require you to have just a single file on your drive. This is a consumately professional service with superb value for money. read more

I really wanted to like this place and support them -- I'm a small business owner myself and I always try to support family businesses. Unfortunately my three month experience here was consistently disappointing and I will not be renewing my PO Box. When I asked for a key to my own PO Box the owner told me "most clients don't need a key, they just ask me for their mail." That alone should have been a red flag. Package drop offs sometimes take several days to show as scanned by the carrier -- not ideal if you're time sensitive. The worst experience was a missing package. Staff told me it was delivered on a Sunday when they're closed. I checked -- it was actually delivered on a Wednesday morning when they were open. After being told to file a claim with the sender I received a text the next day saying my package was there. When I picked it up the owner seemed confused and simply handed it over -- no acknowledgment, no apology, zero accountability. I genuinely wanted this to work. It didn't. Their prices are low for the POBox but not worth the headache. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

This spot is still solid for package drop off. Workers are friendly and efficient. Sometimes they may go on break unannounced when only one person is on staff and close the store for a short time so would suggest if the workers can stick with a designated time slot as I have gone twice this past year where the store was open but the metal gate was drawn and sometimes don't have time to just wait around for them to return. Do NOT RENT A U-HAUL from here! They didn't have the truck I reserved. When they offered for me to take the larger truck that was in stock, they charged me double the original price without compensation. When given the keys, they were not the right keys for the truck. I went back in to get the correct keys, he told me I couldn't have the other larger truck they had in stock, because it was reserved. He told me that he could not help me and I should go somewhere else, because there were 8 other people in line. I ended up not being able to get a truck from there and had to go somewhere else. Clearly the employee was by himself and the is under staffed with poor management. Worst experience and I will not be back. read more

I needed a document in a foreign language notarized and had tried several other notaries who refused incorrectly claiming it was "against state law." I confirmed with the California Secretary of State office that this was absolutely not the case and notaries can indeed notarize foreign documents. We brought our two year toddler along and Robbie helped him feel comfortable in a new environment. I have rented the boxy type of trucks from this location before. A few days ago I needed to rent a truck to transport a few pieces of furniture. I was in a hurry when I rented (checked out the vehicle). The first thing I noticed was dry caked mud on the foot step and floor mat but a few mud spots on the driver seat. I thought the last renter must have used this Chevrolet truck through wet mud some where. As I was driving (day) I could see that the rear view window was so filthy. I couldn't see through it and had to use caution while changing lanes. Then to add more grief the warning light came on (oil change due soon). After dropping off the pieces of furniture I turned on the ignition, put my seat belt on and I could not move the handle to (D) Drive. It was stuck! This happened on several occasions and it was frustrating because I had driven several trucks in my lifetime but never had an issue with not being able to move the handle attached to the side of the wheel to (D) drive. I had taken the emergency parking brake off so that was not the issue. I originally intended to rent the truck for one day but life happens and I ended up with 2 days rental. I returned the truck. I checked (rented) the truck at 5:37 pm on the first day and returned the truck before 5:37pm. If their surveillance camera is operating the recording will show that I returned the truck before 5:37 pm. When I received my receipt by email I was shocked to see the charges. The truck advertises $19.99 /day. Now I was thinking the who purpose of "renting a uhaul truck (not the boxy big truck but a "regular truck". Looking back at the amount I was charged i could have rented a "full size/luxury SUV/truck at Walnut Creek Enterprise. I was charged a "cleaning fee" I drove away with a filthy truck both inside and out and was charged for the last renters mess. Yo make matters worse I spoke to a lady over the phone. I didn't get her name, she was polite. I explained all the issues I encountered and all she said was, "I will make note of this" I thought, "make note"? I have had better service with car rental companies including other uhaul stores. I was expecting her to tell me, "I'm sorry about your experience, we will not only note the issues but we will also ADJUST the fees imposed. I was wrongfully charged for 3 days not 2 and a "cleaning fee"? I don't think I will rent a regular truck" from uhaul and stick with the economy boxy uhaul trucks in the future ‍. The lady at Postal Annex told me that she would have the store manager call me back regarding the issues I have. So let's wait and see if they will follow through and correct the issues/bad experience I had during my renal period (2days). A lesson for me is not to be in a rush and avoid issues like this in the future. read more

I got scammed with an additional $25 "cleaning fee" charge on UHaul rental. Rented a UHaul truck for a recent move and upon returning it, I noticed a $25 "cleaning fee" charge added to my bill. During the move I read the sign inside the truck mentioning saving $25 by cleaning the truck yourself and avoiding the fee. Cleaned the truck and in the process removed remnants from the previous renter (leads me to believe these trucks are not cleaned at the shop to begin because I threw away a receipt dated a few weeks before my rental). I even returned the truck with more gas than how I originally received it. I wanted the "cleaning fee" reversed and multiple calls to the owner/manager were ignored. The employees do not have the power to reverse the fee. I felt ignored, almost as if by ignoring me I would give up on having the fee reversed. Had to speak with UHaul directly to reverse the fee. However convenient the location is, I would not feel comfortable handing them a credit card knowing their business ethics and propensity to scam you with fees. I will never go back here and never recommend this place. read more

I dropped off a package Wednesday evening to be delivered "next day@ at 8am. No one communicated that because I dropped my package off late, next day wasn't an actual option. I would have to say after going to this store for the last 3 years the old owner was amazing. He cared about his customers and always greeted everyone. Sad to say that owner sold about a year ago and this new owner is not friendly. I have been in twice now and both times he is on his phone and is rather rude. I had my husband go in for a third time and he said the same thing. Sam, the owner, took it on himself to choose a Ground Delivery for a very time sensitive package that had a mandatory arrival date, that I requested Priority/Guaranteed shipping. The package did not arrive on time, FedEx was unable to help since it was ground, and 4 concert tickets did not arrive on time to a sold out show. Sam was incredibly unapologetic, was not transparent with the shipment decision, did not take accountability, and actually refused to even refund me the cost of the shipment. It is the luck of the draw when you walk into a place like this because sometimes it can be fast and sometimes it can be slow. It just depends on what the person in front of you is needing/doing. During my visit I just needed to drop off a fedex and get receipt. Unfortunately the person in front of me seemed like he needed 10 copies plus more so it took like 15 minutes. I just wish the person could of maybe asked if I needed something quickly instead of making me wait 10+ minutes for my transaction that took 39 seconds. Person who worked was nice. Plenty of parking. I recently rented a U-haul truck from Postal Annex and the experience from start to finish went very smoothly. Both men working there were very helpful, and the process was quick and easy. He said they are under new ownership. It's so convenient to be able to rent a U-haul so close to my home without having to drive out of town. He was even super encouraging when I told him I was kind of intimidated to drive the truck I just rented - but the truck was easy to drive once I got used to it. Highly recommend! read more

I went to Postal Annex #158 because I needed a Live Scan performed. The owner informed me that they were able to perform the Live Scan. The procedure to obtain fingerprints went as expected. There were a few we needed to repeat for the best resolution. I provided the Live Scan form for them to fill out and also had them make me a copy. I received my receipt and thought all was well. This occurred in December of 2022. Every week or so I checked by email with the agency that was to receive the Live Scan results and they had not received it. I was not aware how long it should take for the agency to receive the information but understood there may be a backlog and I should probably be patient. After about 8 weeks of being patient, I called the agency and they still had not received my information. I decided to go back to the Postal Annex to see if they could help. I showed my receipt and the copy of my Live Scan form hoping that maybe one of the identifiers was incorrect and I had been providing the receiving agency with the wrong numbers. It was at this time that the owner informed me that he was having problems with his Live Scan device and that my Live Scan probably did not get submitted. He offered me a refund. I asked why he hadn't called or emailed me to let me know because he had all of my contact information. He mumbled something that didn't make any sense and asked again if I wanted a refund. It took everything in my power to control my anger. I took the refund and exited. I found a different business that offered Live Scans in Concord. The very next day the receiving agency had my Live Scan results from the Concord location. Postal Annex #158 caused my application to be delayed 2 months. No notification, no apology, only a refund. I will never patronize that business again for any reason. read more

Take extreme caution if you rent a U-Haul here! I paided for the U-haul (10/17/24) upfront with a credit card electronically in the store. I was told my paperwork would be emailed to me. It was never sent. The 10 foot truck had no gas in it and was very dirty. I had to drive across the parking lot to the Chevron station and wash the windows and mirrors in order to safely drive it. I filled the tank up and ended up only using a portion of the gas. The following day when I requested a fuel credit, I was told the manager would have to call me. He never did. So on the 3rd day, I went back to the store and requested my fuel credit and was told by the man, "I'm not going to take money out of my pocket and give it to you". I will be following up with a complaint to U-haul's corporate division. I will also see if the store is registered with the Better Business Bureau. POTENTIAL FRAUD BE CAREFUL! Don't leave the store without your paperwork. Luckily, I took a picture of the truck's mileage and gas gauge. Wonder if the IRS is aware of he is trying to profit on gas paid by his customers? read more

Does Not Care about mail, repeated damaged items regardless of do not fold marking. When asked why packages are placed in the box when other employees have posted signs against that practice, I was told defiantly that they will put mail in the box if it fits. They do this even if it damages other items or if they have to fold the item. Bottom line, zero customer service. They do not care about customer retention. I asked if they cared about customer service and they just repeated that they would put mail in the box if it fits. No common sense or decency. They do not even care if you can get the mail out of the box front, just as long as they can shove it in the back. read more
