The service is not prompt but kind. There was no one in line or in store but the employee still had me wait two minutes before coming to the register so I could send an Amazon return which is fine if it weren't for their embarrassing problem... The issue with this UPS is it is the mustiest smelling store location I've ever been to (and I've lived in 7 different cities)! From the moment you walk in, the stench of sweat, dirty carpet, and human *gases* hits you so hard. I scrunched up my nose and held my breath the whole time I was waiting for this man to come to the register. I wanted to run out of there the whole time. It's also dimly lit and kind of narrow space which combined with the musty smell feels claustrophobic. I will not be returning to this UPS store and will be choosing a different form of return for Amazon such as FedEx or if it must be UPS, another UPS store location but definitely not this one. read more

I've gone into this The UPS Store to return Amazon items as well as get passport photos done and every time the service is incredibly helpful and prompt. They're very centrally located and easy to drop into and they took quite a bit of care and time completing the honey and my passport photos. Overall we're fans of this location and always appreciate their help! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!! When we started here we were really happy with this location and the service. But after new management the service has become almost repulsive. Julie has to be the most incompetent, rude and racist manager they could've possibly hired. My first interaction with her was so poor. She spoke with so much hate, the racism was LOUD. I let it go because I felt embarrassed with everyone watching the interaction. Then yesterday I walk in to pay our box and pick up my diabetic supplies only for her to tell me they closed our mailbox and sent ALL our mail back to the center. Mind you - NO notice nothing. I show up and find out we no longer have a mailbox there. I told her I was picking up medical supplies and I need them as a diabetic my life is on the line without them, she was incredibly rude and dismissive in her response. No empathy, no "I'm so sorry for the inconvenience this has caused". Just "ok well it's not my problem" basically. Then the owner called my husband and explained that our mail was actually still there and wasnt sent back. So she looked me dead in the eyes as I told her I could die without my supplies and still lied and said it wasn't there and smiled. No empathy, no humanity. She saw a brown girl and that just didn't seem to sit right with her. She almost looked joyous that I could possibly die without my supplies when I told her. The amount of hate and racism in her heart came before her duties as a manger. All because of the color of my skin. There was a white woman in line before me and she was so kind to her I actually thought last time she may have just had a bad day or something but no, she's just another racist woman in Walnut Creek. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! This is beyond racism, it's just plain disgusting and she had absolutely no empathy on a human level for someone who's out of diabetic supplies and her life is on the line. We went in to the store after the owner called us and he gave us our packages and said he'd talk to her and write her up. So if you still send your mail here, be sure not to send ANY sensitive packages because the owner clearly has no intention of taking any real action to prevent her from harming anyone else in his store. read more

This is a great place. When I have Amazon returns, I come here right when they open - I don't even need to leave money in the meter outside. I'm in and out. Such a convenient service. I have been in here later in the day when there are more people in the store, it can get a little crowded. But if you come in when they open, boom, you're out there super fast. Thankful this location was open early and right around the corner from my office. We'll be hitting the triple digits again today due to this heat wave, so I got there as soon as it opened. As soon as I opened the door I was greeted with a smile from the worker behind the counter towards the back of the store. A young lad named Coby was working, bright eyed and bushy-tailed lol. He was friendly and provided excellent customer service. Bit of advice if you're dropping off a box that is not taped, this location charges to use their tape to seal your package, or you may purchase tape directly. I purchased a roll so I can have it for my office so that's not an issue, but for those who will find it to be an issue, this is your warning. Lol Also, it's not the workers fault the store is charging, it's the owners decision so don't take it out on Coby or his coworkers please. *smile* Mahalo Coby for your awesome customer service, much appreciated. read more

Tried to ship a few business related packages today. Had prepaid shipping labels. All I needed was a UPS envelope (express pak). Was told they did not have them and most importantly, there was NO OFFER to help, just you are out of luck! Went a block away to the UPS self serve shipping drop and got WAY BETTER service. The faceless box was courteous and had the paks. Had to spend a few minutes putting the labels on but the box gladly accepted the shipment. While I did not get a verbal thank you from the box, I did feel a measure of gratitude. Thank you Brown Box for being there in my time of need! If you want help of any kind don't go to this store. The shipment I paid for was overnight to arrive by noon as it was a perishable item. It arrived 2 days later had to be thrown away. Tried now over a month to get my money back for that shipment. Now I guess we are going to ha e to go to small claims court read more

I have been a regular customer at this UPS Store (N Main in Walnut Creek) for almost three years now, and it is the best I have ever been to. As weird as this sounds, I was at a UPS store in a different state recently and found myself missing this one. The customer service is fantastic and I have yet to have any issues with sending or receiving mail. Big shoutout to Chance who has helped me with so many questions and is always a friendly face I can count on! He definitely goes above and beyond to help people have a good experience. Something to keep in mind is it gets very busy during peak hours, so I'd recommend coming in during the day rather than after 4pm. Another thing to be aware of is that parking is in a small shared paid lot behind the building, although the city did put in some 15 minute free spots in front during the pandemic. Parking can be busy during peak hours as well, so another reason to avoid these times. read more

I waited in line to buy a box. The 2 patrons in front of me were serviced accordingly. When it was my turn to be serviced, the representative (older male) then told me to wait so that he could service the person behind me who had not been previously serviced. I waited patiently, even though it didn't make much sense as to why he needed to be serviced first. When the representative came back to me to sell me a box, I calmly told him that the optics of it wasn't a good look. That's when he informed me that the guy behind me is a regular and then told me he didn't have my box size (as I looked at the stack of my size behind him). Wanna take a guess as to what my skin color was vs the guy behind me? I'll wait.... And yes, I'm a regular too. Live 4 blocks away. I always come here to drop off stuff like Amazon returns. They're usually really quick and that's a huge plus, especially if you've been to any of these UPS stores where they're ALWAYS crowded. Sucks it's on Main street which is crowded and has meters everywhere. Make sure you leave enough money in the meter because the meter maid WILL get you right outside the store there. This business charges 75.00 a month to forward your mail if you change addresses. Crazy because we are only paying 35.00 a month for the PO Box itself! We have a had a box there for many years for our non profit organization and not having our donations forwarded is a huge issue. You might want to consider USPS over this business. True definition of white glove service: As I walk in at 6:25pm stressing that this ups store closes in about 5 minutes and I won't have time to make a return, I get greeted instantly by Seema. I ask if it's too late to make a return and without any question she starts helping me immediately with a great attitude. I recently dropped off 4 packages and was asked if I wanted a drop off receipt! Usual UPS protocol. As usual I replied no save a tree. 2 weeks later I received a letter from Lisa the manager stating my packages were still still and will not be shipped unless I go back and get a drop off receipt. I called the store and she advised that she FINALLY had to ship them out when they did not here back but it's UPS policy that you MUST get a drop off receipt! Which is absolutely not true. I have shipped over 500 packages at the UPS store and UPS direct and NEVER was I forced to get a receipt. In fact when I dropped off these packages I was asked "do you need a receipt?" so there is an option to say no! Pretty sad! There are more UPS stores in the area, find another. read more
