Porter is an unexpected delight! Came here for breakfast one day and had the pancakes which were fluffy and excellent. Decided to come back for dinner and was thrilled we did. Beef brisket was flavorful and tasty, salmon Florentine was out of this world. Trout was great. Don't forget the great onion rings! Red mountain Utah trout was perfectly cooked with the right portion and played nice, but the honey maple glaze was way too sweet, also the lemon herb rice was just basic rice. The Sirloin Steak was a bit to dry on the outside and way to chewy on the inside. The American bacon was really good but the portions was a too small, but it was still extremely good. The baby back ribs were extremely good, really juicy and cooked to the perfect level, the BBQ sauce was really good, nice and sticky, but the portion of onion rings was really small, like only 2 onion rings and one was super small, and for a half rib 2 small onion rings was definitely not enough, but the Ribs were still amazing. The pepperoni pizza was alright, it didn't have enough marinara sauce in my option though, it was also plated a bit weird. Our server was really nice and the food came out fairly fast at like 20 minutes which is pretty fair for all the food we ordered. Our server was really kind though and came to check on us every once in a while just to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. And the atmosphere of the place was great too, everyone was enjoying their self's, also the artwork on the walls were super nice. Overall it's a very enjoyable place with fairly good food. read more

Classic comfort foods. Nothing will blow you away but most good dining options outside zion are only open for dinner service and not lunch so this ends up being one of the better options for lunch. They serve alcohol despite the place being super causal and more like a diner. The margarita was just okay. I feel awful saying this but the service is atrociously bad. I interacted with 3 team members and the host during my visit and all of them were so nice but it was a train wreck at every stage. I ordered the chicken Marsala with a special request to put it over cavatappi pasta and it was tasty! I would consider coming back for lunch next time I'm in Zion and wouldn't discourage others from going here but just know what you're getting into. Chicken Marsala was on point with homemade mashed potatoes and nice broccoli. I'm a chicken snob, their chicken was perfectly cooked. They can honestly say they're the sister restaurant to Oscar's, known as the best restaurant in town. Next door to bumbleberry bakery and ice cream shop so the smells are intoxicating. read more

While on vacation, one does not like to cook breakfast. Especially the day after hiking in Zion National Park for almost 12 hours. So we ventured over to Porter's. It was Tuesday morning and not busy at all. We chose to order our food and sit outside. The young man at the front was very nice and friendly. Asked us where we were traveling from and had a nice conversation with me. We ordered the Popeye Omelette with biscuit, instead of toast. It was delicious! Filled with veggies, it was healthy and delicious. The country potatoes were seasoned perfectly! The biscuits were delicious!! I'm not sure what kind of coffee they serve, but it was fantastic!!! We got free breakfast here as apart of our stay at the Bumbleberry in, and it was amazing! Easily the best hotel breakfast ever. Nobody ever got anything they didn't like. I highly recommend the French toast and the waffles, but like I said, we didn't get anything bad! The service was always amazing as well. Came to this place while visiting the park, the food was just ok. Service was also alright, we had to get up from our seats (well my husband did) to get ourselves utensils, then also our sides. We had burgers or what they call sandwiches. Either was no common sense that we would need napkins n ketchup etc. What service??? Not like they were busy... I think there was a total of 8 customers in the whole restaurant... any ways we were just passing by. So don't think I would be back to this restaurant. read more

Nice patio seating with a good view. Was hoping to enjoy a beer while waiting for takeout order but never had a server. There was a group ranging from 5-9 people all hanging out. Server walks out w a takeout order and I said is that mine? She gives me a ‍ and then finally lists what's in it and it's mine. No ketchup as asked. Burgers were fine, pretty sure frozen patties. While looking for a nice dinner place close to Zion we passed by this place which looked really inviting as a barbecue restaurant. As we entered we were Amazed by the shiny wood floors and walls. It really made you feel like you were in a log cabin for some real home town country cookin. The seating was adequate and the table tops were very unique. I have to admit...some of the cocktails on the cocktail menu looked very appealing so I tried one and as expected it was very good. Also on the menu were a lot of barbecue items that I was excited about because I could smell it all throughout the restaurant... unfortunately the prices on these barbecue dishes were astronomically expensive. So expensive that I didn't bother trying them like I wanted. I opted for a kick-ass double burger which had jalapeno pepper jack cheese and a Chipotle aioli. That was expensive as well for a burger but I found it to be pretty good. The atmosphere of this establishment is great.... if you're seated by windows you can look out and see people walking up and down the street and the backdrop of rock formations behind it, the smells and liveliness of the restaurant and just knowing you are in a beautiful place..... but my God the one down turn is that this restaurant is so expensive I just don't know how worth it it is for some of the items. Everything was absolutely delicious. Most of their food is made fresh in house and you can taste it. Had the pesto shrimp pasta! Very tasty! Breakfast - plenty of options, great omelet and French toast. Coffee is good if you like a darker coffee, not bitter but as a black coffee drinker not my favorite. Dinner - while I have not tried a ton of ribs so my experience is somewhat limited these were amazing. The BBQ sauce on them had great flavor without being too sweet/salty/Smokey. The ribs fell apart and did not need the steak knife included! Would return for breakfast due to convenience, would absolutely return for dinner due to quality!! read more

Luda the waiter was the only thing that stopped me from giving a one star review. This is a place you get a hamburger and French fries. Not somewhere to try and get something healthy. I got the Caesar salad because I figured it would be difficult to mess up such a simple salad. I added salmon and the salmon was SO SALTY. My husband got the special and even he stated how salty his bison was. The outside is beautiful tho and the beer was Great. We stayed in springdale for the night and we couldn't choose between this place or thai food...after stopping into the bakery and gift shop next door to porters, we overhead people walking out saying how delicious the food was, so we decided to go for it! My husband and I both ordered the bacon cheeseburger to go. We got back to our room and we were both shocked at how big the burgers were. They were AMAZING, like speechless, don't talk to me while I eat this because I am enjoying every savory moment type goodness The fries were delicious, they give you a mayo/ketchup sauce to dip in...wow. We ate here once for dinner and 4 times for the free breakfast. The portions are very large and we could not finish out food any of the times. The service was quick and the servers were friendly. The first night I got cheese fries and it was a whole big plate of fries covered in cheese. Husband got a burger and enjoyed it. This place is very good! My partner and I came here twice in our 3 night trip due to this restaurant being that good. The waitress was extremely attentive and always had a smile on her face (I wish I got her name) and making sure everything was made right for us. The first time we came here my partner ordered the Blue Burger and I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. Both entrees had lots of flavor and nothing to complain about. Second time we came here we got the personal pizzas ( 3 meat and supreme) but we had it inferno style which is fresh cut jalapeños, red chili flakes and the inferno sauce drizzled on the pizzas. If you like spicy you would definitely like the inferno style on your pizza. Overall I would rate this restaurant 5 stars just to the service itself but the food added an extra bonus. My husband got the biscuits and gravy, which he didn't like, and the potatoes he likened to Ore Ida frozen hash browns. I had the french toast, which wasn't bad. I had to ask for butter and syrup. I ordered a side of bacon, which I never received. Our server chose to blame me for not reminding her when I asked it be removed from the bill. I wouldn't go out of my way to go again. read more
