I ordered a couple of dishes I had never tried before, including a steak and chicken crusted with pistachios. The bison steak was especially memorable. The herb butter on top was incredibly delicious and added so much flavor. The food did seem to take some time to come out. The kids ordered the beef sliders and absolutely loved them. The food took about an hour which I guess is normal for a "resort" area, but the trout tasted spoiled and the ribs were dry as the Zion desert. Our server looked confused and was all over the place. Would've made more sense to have the servers concentrate in a certain area as opposed to some inside tables while working some outside tables. Overall, a really poor experience. We had been overall pretty disappointed in the food, and we were hoping this place would be different. We were pleasantly surprised! Really great lunch spot maybe just 3-4 miles away from the Zion park entrance. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and high chairs for the little ones. They had a few great options on the kids menu and it was so sweet of the staff to give the kids some silly string type toys to keep them preoccupied. I didn't try the libations but others in my party said they were delicious. I enjoyed my ultimate grilled cheese which contained so much pulled pork it hardly resembled a grilled cheese! The smashed home style potatoes with lots of thyme was also tasty but I couldn't eat it all because of the huge amount of salt that made me thirsty. This place is amazing! We went 2 nights in a row and are forcing ourselves to try a new place our third night here. Our first night we sat outside and I got the special Mahi Mahi over coconut rice and a house salad and my husband got the Big Sexy Burger. They change their specials around daily, sometimes having the same things while changing others. The Mahi Mahi was so delicious and flavorful and the burger was juicy. The 2 meals, salad, and one drink was around $100 with tip. The next night we went back and there was a wait- we were told about 45 mins and we knew it would be worth it. Turns out a bus arrived with 50 people so our wait was an hr and a half, but it was worth it! We sat inside and ordered 4 entrees this night and another house salad. The Big Sexy Burger, Wild Thyme Pasta, and 2 specials- the Bison Meatloaf and the Pistachio Crusted Trout. The Trout was more bland than expected, compared to the Mahi Mahi the previous night. But over all, everything was so good! My husband devoured the Bison Meatloaf. We spent $150 with tip this night for the 4 entrees, salad, and one drink. So so good.
