I wanted to make sure how much it was going to actually cost me, so I made sure that they knew WHAT I HAD IN SUPPLIES including the fact that I had three bags of salt and I wanted them to be used so that I would NOT HAVE to pay their price for the salt needed for my pool. I knew I would need two additional bags but that was it. Well it DID NOT GET USED even though it was NOTED on my file. Then I also knew I needed to replace the filters and would do so at the same time as when getting my pool drained and refilled. The tech was already here, it's not like he had to do an extra trip or anything. I had called and spoken to Shawn over the phone because I received a text letting me know the filters were on sale with a 15% discount and I wanted to make sure the discount was applied to my invoice. He said that yes it was going to be applied on the final bill. Except Shawn failed to mention the FACT THAT THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME $140 additional for putting the filters in. But the worst part was when I went in person to find out why my bill was so high. Of course being the honest person that I am I HAD ALREADY PAID THE INVOICE. Because both the young guy with the beard can't remember his name and a lady with short curly hair ( also don't know her name) were very rude. Even though I was not talking to her in regards to my situation she decided to butt in and tell me that "was I thinking I was going to get things for free?" And the guy all he could say was " well I don't know what was said and what wasn't" pretty much my word against theirs. THAT'S FINE I WILL HAVE THE FINAL WORD, YOU ARE A RIP OFF. They have a good selection, can test your water for free and write out exactly what you need and the timing for each product (I like to say it's dummy proof - which I need!), and their pricing is fair. I had a mixed experience with this company. On the positive side, they did a fantastic job removing…read morethe calcium buildup on the pool edge--the results looked great. However, I ran into several issues with the service and communication. The original quote mentioned "startup chemicals," but it did not specify quantities. After the pool was filled, the manager came out and only added one gallon of liquid chlorine(not enough) see pic. When I asked about stabilizer and acid to balance the pH, he told me acid wasn't needed because the city water is already balanced, and that stabilizer was not included in the estimate. We disagreed on this, and he refused to add stabilizer. The situation became frustrating, especially when he said I was "difficult to deal with." Earlier, his crew had trouble locating the cleanout for about 10 minutes. When I got home, I was able to find it myself shortly after. Later, I called and asked him not to send his crew back since I had already started the sump pump and we discussed a couple of very small pinhole leaks that I didn't consider a big issue. Despite that, he insisted on sending his team again, and then mentioned that it was an extra trip that would cost more. I want to note that I treated his crew well--I tipped them and even offered refreshments during the work. Bottom line: the quality of work was good, but communication and clarity on the estimate were lacking. Make sure to carefully review all details in the quote before choosing this company.
