I found Price busters pool and spa, many miles from my house and stopped in. I had visited many independent shops before trying price busters with out any success. I need to say that from the moment I walked into the shop I was treated so nicely from the young lady at the reception desk. Then the owner help me right away. He knew in minutes what I needed and supplied me the part. I discovered that I needed more parts to finish the jobs. We did and it worked! Needed a few replacement parts and they had those too. Expensive but these parts are hard to find and we needed them. They were very helpful! We won't go anywhere else.

Great management and great crew…read more Had a pool pump stop working, and my normal pool guy immediately blamed a failed motor in the pump, despite it only being 2 years old and gave me a large quote to replace. I called Pelican for a second opinion and rather than just push new hardware, they did their due diligence to pinpoint the problem.They figured out that not enough power was being supplied to the pool panel and it ended being a bad breaker that was supplying too little voltage for the pump to operate. One new breaker later and I am back up and running. Thanks Pelican for being good people and not just pushing products.

Had a great experience with Build Your Own Pool out of Mesa Az. They helped me with all the subs…read moreand helped create my design for the permits and for the subs to use. I did have some doubts about going through build your own pool versus a local pool builder, however after some of my ridiculous quotes from local pool builders (like 30-40k higher than we built it for) and talking to several homeowners that also used build your own pool I decided to go for it. Now I have subbed out for homes we have remodeled and a few flips so I might have been more comfortable through the process than others might, but I think if you need more help they'd be there for you. I worked a lot with Ryan for the plans at the beginning and then with John Green who we also ordered the equipment through. John was extremely helpful and did not get annoyed with my calls or emails on my many questions. From breaking ground to completion it took about 5 months. The pool builders which we talked to were about 10-12 months out and basically said we wouldn't have the pool until December or January when we were getting bids. We finished just in time for the summer and have already used it a lot. I highly recommend BYOP and am extremely satisfied with my pool!

Please remember that you are the GC. Ive seen reviews like the one before where they pool light was too short. This is stuff you are responsible for noticing, as a GC you should know how long your light run is and how long of a light cord you need. I worked with John and he was great, we even had issues with a drain and he had a rep come out immediately and resolve the issue. I worked with Roy during the design stage and I made several changes over and over to the design and it never took Roy more than 24 hours to make changes or respond to questions. Remember this is your project and you are responsible for running the show, reviewing drawings, equipment lists, etc.

Husband was on the phone with our daughter. Dan said, no that must be the smaller size. We gave the Product Number "78369". Yes that was the float in-store. Dan would not match told us we needed to order online. I ordered online for pick up at store #429. They told us they couldn't see the order. We called back and Shane also said they couldn't see our order. To cancel our order and then she could buy them. I called the Ellsworth location #575 and spoke to Ronnie, who was an incredible help. He had the floats and when asked what the price was, he promptly quoted $119.99, just like the website. We cancelled our order, and will be calling the District Manager, Mark Mansfield on Monday. Easily could have been avoided if in-store staff could have taken the time and care to check the price. Highly recommend driving to Ellsworth and Brown, rather than dealing with rude and incompetent team members.

They replaced our aged-out pool surface from plaster to micro pebble which included treating the concrete and adding a curative to the pebble mix. They installed hand-set iridescent step markers and new directionals, an aerator fitting, safety drain covers, a hand rail and new tile at the water line. It was quite the project and they did it within the projected timeline. Jessica pleasantly took our original call, setting the tone at the beginning and arranged sales rep Brandon to come to the house. He truly embodies the Business Development Ninja title on his business card. He impressed us with his demeaner, transparency and thoroughness at our initial meeting and in their showroom/design center where we chose our colors from plenty of options for the new surface, tiles, handrail and step markers. Project Manager Shawn updated us nearly daily on what to expect and when. As busy as he was, he promptly answered our questions and concerns in detail with good humor and respect and kept everything on schedule which transpired as he described. Massive respect to Zach & Richard & Juan and everyone in the chip-out, tile & surface install crews who each worked diligently throughout the unseasonably hot days.
