The food is fantastic, the space needs an upgrade. This place has delicious food! We ordered the rice balls (forgot the name) as an appetizer. They were good except the cheese inside wasn't melted. The sauce though! Wow! I asked for some of it on the side for our bread so I could dip it. For entrées, my husband ordered a pizza and added raw prosciutto and the crust was... yes! I ordered the bolognese, which I've never had anywhere before (so I may be ignorant) but it was SO Good. I ate the leftovers for breakfast the next day. The down side of Thai place is their organization. They pack SO many people in such a tiny space that you are elbow to elbow with the people at the table next to you. It's hard to get to your booth without sticking your ass in someone else's plate! It also caused a lagging service. Don't get me wrong, servers were nice, but you didn't get the refills and requests you needed in a timely manner. read more

Came here for lunch mid-week and was seated right away. Overall, food was great and had a good time. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but if you need a lunch spot in the area, I'd recommend it. The service really wasn't great - our server came over, mumbled something as she got her pad out, then suddenly left to go to another table as we started ordering drinks. From that point on, her presence was sparse and she never even made eye contact when she came over. read more

Love their food and that they deliver! So good!!! The pizzas are a bit small but really tasty

I ordered a pizza with olives, mushrooms etc. It was extremely difficult to even lift the pizza slice off the plate because the pizza dough is so thin. All of my toppings fell off... every single pizza slice. The actual toppings tasted good, not great. And the crust was bland. I've read other comments about being disappointed by the soggy, thin pizza. It's time to address the issue, people are paying decent money for a pizza that you have to eat with a fork. read more

Pomo - Phoenix - The pizza is so thing and soggy the toppings just fall off. Really disappointed with Pomo. - Pizza Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Service is great, food is as stellar as other Pomo locations, cute gelato stand. Best lite authentic Italian food in town! Eggplant parmigiana appetizer is perfect for a meal with a side of bread to soak up the sauce. A bit oily but not fried and heavy. Spicy spaghetti (torchio arrabbiata) SO hot but so flavorful. The tiramisu is HUGE and plenty to share for MORE than 2 people! read more

The food was great. Our server seemed angry or at least indifferent. She poured a glass of water and spilled on the table and didn't clean up. Honestly I get better service at much lesser priced places. I don't know what her problem was but she didn't even smile until she dropped the check read more

Super tasty thin crust pizza. They have great drinks for your fun night out and a good selection of pizzas and pastas. I enjoyed the calamari as our appetizer. The restaurant is busy I feel this was best for a group of 2 to 6. The Pomo Lemon drop was wonderful to enhance the dinner. Bon appetito! read more

What a great way to spend Friday night. We made a reservation ahead of time and when we arrived, were quickly seated. We got a great seat outside right next to the live music. What a great atmosphere! My only small complaint was their fryer was broken, and apparently had been for weeks so we were slightly limited on what appetizers we could choose from. We went with the eggplant and we're not disappointed. It was not breaded or fried but so fresh and delicious tasting. We added some fresh bread to it, and used every slice to soak up the extra sauce. My husband and I also shared a pasta dish and pizza. Every bite was eaten. We can't wait to come back! read more

This quaint little place definitely surprised me. My son and I visited Pomo after a show we attended in downtown Phoenix. I am so happy we have this little place a chance. The food is absolutely delicious and authentic. The service is delightful, everyone is extremely friendly and offer suggestions and are all smiles. We had a pizza, cheese and meat board along with pasta and I couldn't get enough. To the point we had my first wedding planning meet up at Pomo and everyone at the table loved it! I have been there twice in a span of two weeks and can't wait to go back! read more

Wow, this place was seriously so delicious. We opted for the outside patio seating, which was gorgeous. They do have large windows/doors to the front of the restaurant so actually it was a completely open aired vibe throughout. It was just absolutely gorgeous for a spring Arizona day. Now to get onto the fresh delicious food. The margarita pizza tasted like it. Came out of a fresh pizza oven within minutes of being served to us. The crust tested seriously homemade and just so light like a margarita pizza should be. We also got the arrabbiata pasta, this could have not been yummier. The noodles tasted like they were also made within minutes of coming out to us. I don't know if I've ever tasted a noddle so perfect. We didn't have to wait to be seated but it was starting to get a little busier, so I would recommend reservation. read more

I ordered the "Gnocchi Sorrentina" which has potato gnocchi with tomato sauce, a hefty amount of mozzarella (my favorite part), parmigiano, and basil (very light amount). This was around $15. Then for dessert I had their signature flavor of gelato, "Luna" which has pistachio, caramel, and dark chocolate - tasted divine. The 1 scoop of gelato is $4. I actually enjoyed the gelato more than the pasta so I'll be back for that. They also have other gelato flavors, as well as sorbets, and a pleasantly large dessert and coffee menu! Service was great! Kelly was my server and she was wonderful and checked on me from time to time. I was informed by the manager that for parking, there is the "705 N 1st" lot for Pomo (SE corner, inside ASU lot). After 5pm, Pomo customers can use the AFMA parking lot, next to the ASU lot. Both of these parking lots are behind the Pomo building, at 2nd street and Pierce. read more

I hate posting negative reviews, but I'm walking away from Pomo right now, and I can honestly say that was the worst service I have ever had in my entire life. Apps never came out, and when we told the server we didn't want them (after our meals came out), he was completely dumbfounded. He paid no attention to our table the entire time we were seated. The food was fine, not spectacular but not horrible, but we will never go back solely based on the service we received. read more

Service was great, cute little restaurant. The food was AMAZING and came out so fast! Cocktails were very yummy as well!

We went as a party of seven, with two guests from the Phoenix Fan Fusion convention. Besides the bruschette, whose bread was so hard I joked I needed to work out more just to cut it, the food was delicious and you get your pizzas FAST. Our server didn't seem to like us (all seven of us noticed), but we chalked it up to a bad day or being overworked, because we tried to be efficient in ordering so they didn't have to go back and forth to get food or drinks piecemeal. I'd go here again in a heartbeat -- in particular, the margherita and burratella pizzas were absolutely amazing. read more

We have been going to Pomo for years but the downtown location is in need of help. The pizza as many patrons noted is not cooked, soggy and lacks taste. We ordered two appetizers, and 4 entrees and a salad and they brought it all out at the same time. Our server didn't think that was odd at all, which makes me think that was the norm. We were literally "done" in 35 min. The craziest dining experience I've ever had. We won't be returning. read more

We went on a very busy night. They were able to see us fairly quickly. They put us in the back table, but didn't have a waiter assigned so we were hanging out for a while until one of the other waiters noticed us, and he decide to take care of us. He did a great job. Ramona salad is decent, would be more to my liking without the kale as the kale is non-pliable and rough. Pizza was excellent as always. We got the inferno pizza and the Fresno chili was fire hot which was actually toward liking. Bolognese pasta was good but not the best we had. Dessert was absolutely fabulous, can't recall the name. read more

Service was great but unfortunately was t a big fan of the flavors. Had pizza and the pasta and definitely liked the pasta better.

We came here before a concert and how have we never been here before??? It is fairly small but we had a reservation so we sat down immediately! Our server was awesome, the service was almost too quick!! We got our meal out with our appetizers. Not my preference but it is ok because the quality of food was to die for!! We started with the caprese and the crudo fig honey bruschetta. I loved the bruschetta, the caprese was totally normal average good. For dinner I ordered the gramigna boscailola. HOLY MOLY so dang good!! Like food coma cannot stop eating it good!! Worth the drive to phoenix just for this dish!! My husband got the principe pizza and he added sausage. We are huge arugula fans so that pizza was an easy choice. SOOOO DELICIOUS!! Pomo will definitely be one of our top phoenix choices for sure!! I cannot wait to go back!! read more

Mmmmm I don't know where to start. Crust. Holy crap. Absolutely delicious. Gummy in the right way. Crisp in the right way. Charred absolutely perfectly. Paper thin. Perfect. Tomato sauce. 5 stars - plus. Sweet. Grown in your own backyard deliciousness. Light. I don't know if they add anything to a perfect crushed tomato. Sooo good. Don Alfonzo. Huge chunks of homemade sausage. 5 stars. Pepperoni or sopressata delicious. Peppers perfect. Basil delicious. Phenomenal service. Last but not least... full bar. Yes good pours. When downtown. Pomo has the best gluten-free pizza. The crust has a bit of both wood fired char and chew to it, while the ingredients are high quality and fresh. I like that their dough and sauce is not salty, the true flavors come right out at you. The veggie pizza is loaded with eggplant, roasted red pepper, fresh basil (would have liked even more basil), plus other goodies. Save room for some of the best gelato in town, extremely creamy. The passion fruit is one of my favorites with not just the standard seeds but large pieces of chewy fruit giving it a complex texture. Any of the varieties that have chocolate swirl are also fantastic. The chocolate is dark and slightly sticky giving a very rich feel. read more

Went here trusting the reviews, but unfortunately was a little disappointed with their pizza. The appetizer was good and so was the gnocchi. The salad tasted old. You could tell it has been just sitting there for quite sometime. I don't think I will go back. The tiramisu- However - ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! I would go back just for the tiramisu. It was the perfect sweetness and just mouth watering goodness. read more

First time eating here, first time at Phoenix. They were getting pretty packed at 6pm but we had a reservation so got seated right away. They had amazing variety of pizza/pasta. The only thing I didn't like was that the pizza itself was a little soggy because it was thin crust. However the crust itself was great. It's very loud inside and a bit chaotic. I think it would be okay for medium groups as the place itself is pretty small. It has some good outdoor seating as well. read more

Two stars for the pizza. Little to no sauce and cheese, flavor lacking. White onions and not caramelized is strange on a pizza. The Fig and Honey appetizer was not as stated on menu. A slice of sourdough bread, cream cheese, 3 figs and a honey drizzle. My have been good if the bread was toasted and they use mascarpone cheese. The best part of our experience was the manager "Les" and the waitress " Ainsley" Les was very accommodating after we alerted him to our dissatisfaction with the food and took care of the bill and offered us another selection but we opted for some gelato which was excellent! Ainsley our server was very seat and friendly as well. read more

We couldn't get into Pizza Bianco and I'm pretty happy we didn't. It's right around the corner. The pizza here is 10/10. We will choose this place first in the future. Decided to come here for a last minute dinner outing and am so glad I did! The space itself is a little small and can be crowded when busy (as it often seems to be) but it's not bothersome. Even though they were really busy, our server was great and very attentive to our table, frequently checking in appropriately. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and you can see the wood fired pizzas being made right behind the counter. Authentic Italian, for sure. Drink options were plentiful - we opted for the Zenzero and the Porpora cocktails. They both were very unique and strong! We loved them both. For food we got the Fritto Misto, Mediterranea Bruschette, Gramigna Boscaiola Pasta, Don Alfonso and Quattro Stagioni pizzas. The pasta was absolutely incredible and the others seemed to really enjoy their pizzas. Along with parmesan and pepper flakes that they bring to the table, they also have a chili oil which I really liked. They also have gelato which we didn't try, and an awesome HH deal that we definitely will be coming back for. read more

Very rude male employee. Customer service was not great. This place tends to certain people.

Excellent food. We were going to try Pizzeria Bianco, but their line was 3-4 hours long. So we ended coming to Pomo in Phoenix AZ instead. Great service, yummy food. Loved their pizza and pasta. Friendly and attentive waitress. We thought we had ordered a 4 FORMAGGI PIZZA but actually got the BURRATELLA pizza instead and the GRAMIGNA BOSCAIOLA. The pizza crust was really nice and did not turn into a hard mess. It stayed nice and easy to chew on even after the crust turned cold. The balance of the cheese with everything else in the pizza was superb. Nothing overpowered another ingredient in the mix. The middle of the pizza was not soggy. We were in pizza heaven. The pasta looked like little worms. The dish is a mixture of creamy sausage sauce, cremini mushroom, parmigiano; according to the menu, the dish is AZ Central Top 10 Restaurant Dish. Though it is made of a creamy sauce, it is not too creamy to be too rich to taste. Glad that I ordered this dish. The waitress says that this is their signature dish unlike Lasagna that is served in most Italian restaurants. Brava to Pomo for beating out Pizza Bianco in our gastro journey. So glad that Pizza Bianco was too packed for us to find this gem at Pomo pizzeria. read more

We ordered the crudo fig and honey, mista salad, fritto misto calamari, and principe pizza. The restaurant was nice inside and had nice outdoor seating, but it was otherwise disappointing. The salad had a significant amount of rotten lettuce in it and had to be sent back. The pizza arrived cold and with soggy crust. The calamari appetizer was good, but I did not enjoy the other bruschetta appetizer we ordered. The service was very poor. We never got the additional sauce for our calamari that we requested when brought our appetizers, our drinks were never refilled despite being empty, and our server did not check in once. read more

I love Pomo! It's downtown, the happy hour is incredible, and it's got a cute little patio. There are a lot of pros including easy to find parking and price. The day I went it seemed the restaurant was really understaffed. The service was really slow to no fault of the staff. When we looked inside (we were on the patio) there was ONE bartender for a full bar and patio. I felt bad for the guy! We weren't in a hurry so the service was fine and I don't blame the staff as they can't be omnipresent. However, if you're in a hurry this might not be the best place to go. read more
