I found my favorite style of pizza. There's just no other way. I'm have to visit Italy now. You can taste the quality in the ingredients (compared to most pizza places around) and how they're cooked. The dough is soft and fluffy. We ordered: meatballs, burrata Pomo (my favorite), don alfonso pizza, and Strozzapreti Salsiccia. 5/5 The service was good 5/5 ambiance is loud and lively; parking is a total nightmare but it is worth it read more

We sat indoors for the first time but whether you are inside or outside, the ambiance is great. The pizza, meatballs & salad were all delicious. The meatballs were out of this world, such good flavor! 10/10 read more

Great service and amazing pizza. To start, we were quite surprised at how quickly we were seated, given how packed and lively the place was (we went on Sunday evening - 12/29). Ava was awesome from start to finish and really made us feel welcome. As for the food, this pizza is easily among the top 3 we've had on this side of the Atlantic. Thank you, Pomo Pizzeria for the great dining experience. read more

The food was great! Service was great too. Paige was so patient and kind and Emily was just as great, serving the gelato and helping with orders. Ambiance was amazing - we had a party of 20+ and the food came out so so fast! Would absolutely come again - order the burratello pizza - you won't regret it. read more

Pomo is always a great spot to grab some good pizza. I love sitting on the patio and doing some people watching while eating a slice. I also enjoy sitting inside and watching the cooks do some magic in the wood-fired oven. Pomo has a few locations across the Valley and was founded by Stefano Fabbri. His family has years of restaurant experience in Italy. We are fortunate enough to enjoy his creations here in the Valley. Pizza crusts at Pomo are thin and crisp and are topped with mozzarella di bufala and sauce made from San Marzano tomatoes. Then they are slow cooked in a wood-fired oven. Pomo's pizzas are VPN guaranteed (Verace Pizza Napoletana). It basically means that they make authentic Neapolitan pizza here. I personally love their pizzas. I recently ordered the Toto Sapore because sausage is my favorite topping on pizza. It also has hot soppressata which gives it a nice kick. For a starter, the Caprese is a nice selection. The mozzarella is nice and creamy and has a hint of olive oil. I recommend getting some bruschetta too. Pomo's menu has about twenty pizza creations on it. There are also some pasta, salad, and panini options as well. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu here. Pomo is definitely one of the Valley's top spots for good pizza. read more

My friends and I went there for lunch and had a great time. The patio is nice and has a great ambiance. Being vegan, I was concerned there would not be many options but the server was very helpful and accommodating. They have vegan cheese so I got a pizza with vegan cheese, mushrooms and onions. I also got the chopped salad with no feta. Both were fresh and delicious. The crust on the pizza was crispy and chewy - authentic. The salad had fresh avocado and they did not skimp on the avocado! I ate it all because it was so good and was very full. I also got the limoncello cocktail. Delicious! I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will be back! read more

I've been coming to Pomo for years but I'm just now getting around to leave a review. Pre-COVID this was my top place for pizza and pasta downtown. Recently I think I would give the nod to Il Bosco for pizza though. The gramigna and strozzapretti pastas at Pomo are always delicious and a reason to keep coming back. Unfortunately, the downtown location also has a more limited menu than Scottsdale and doesn't always get the seasonal specials. I had to only go with 4 stars though because recently the food just hasn't been up to the typical Pomo quality especially when getting food to go. Most recently, I was excited to finally be able to stop in and try one of their summer peach specials. I got the Nirvana pizza with peaches, arugula, and prosciutto. The flavor was pretty good but it came out watery, soggy and not completely cooked. read more

I have questions about this Quattro Stagioni: seriously? What kind of maniac makes a pizza like this??? In what world is this an acceptable way to arrange pizza toppings?! Who hurt you? Am *I* the crazy one here? I mean-- foreal. I've got a slice that's just a pile of olives, a slice that's just a pile of mushrooms, and three slices of sparsely distributed meat. Guys... dare I say: do better. read more

Came here for the first time and it was really good! It's a little small inside, but that's ok. Our food came out very quickly, and our waiter was very friendly. My pizza was nice and fresh, I was so excited to eat it I forgot to take a picture before. I would definitely come back! The only thing that sucks is that you have to pay and find parking. Ended up at Pomo on a Sunday at 5:30 pm because the wait at Pizzeria Bianco was 2 hours. Luckily I was able to grab a last minute reservation through Yelp/Open Table so was seated a few minutes after I arrived at Pomo despite it being very busy. Got the principe pizza and the gramigna boscaiola pasta. Both were deeelish and would highly recommend trying them out! The pizza was perfection as all Napoli pizzas are .. chewy crust, thin center, fresh tomato sauce, perfectly salty prosciutto and a nice fresh peppery arugula to top it all off. The pasta was unlike any other pasta I've ever had before and it was so good. The pasta had an umami but meaty flavor from the sauce but at the same time wasn't too salty. So glad I stumbled on this place as my last meal in Phoenix! Parking is either street parking or you can pay to park in the lot behind ($3/hr). read more

Food was amazing! And the gluten free options were equally delicious. Pretty cute place, super busy on a Monday! I tried The burratella pizza and added sauce. It was watery and the crust was so thin it was whimpy/slimey-ish. The edge of the crust was fluffy with great texture and flavor. Service was alright. Still on a hunt for best pizza in town... this was good, but this isn't it :) read more

Pomo offers authentic Neapolitan pizzas and I was excited to see they have the VPN (Verace Pizza Napoletana) certification. I have high expectations for this style of pizza and our visit exceeded my expectations. We tried the Burratella Pizza and the combination of honey and chili threads paired well with the soppressata. Their team was really attentive and all of our food was ready quickly. Highly recommend this place. read more

Great pasta and cute place but the service is hit or miss. Our last visit left us with mixed feelings, with a super inattentive server who would avoid eye contact in an effort to ignore us but the manager was clearly taking care of business as it was obvious he was running around and helping all the members of his team. He came and checked on us after a quick glance at our table, noticing that we were looking around for our server and he ended up making sure we had what we need. read more

We absolutely loved this pizzeria! We are suckers for good Neapolitan pizza and this did not miss! We each got two pizzas and their calamari for an appetizer. Needless to say, it was delicious. The service was good. The server was very nice and came back to check on us constantly. There is indoor and outdoor seating, we opted to sit inside. This was a Saturday lunch date, and it was amazing! We were looking to go to a place we hadn't gone to before, and we were in the mood for Italian. Soooo glad we found POMO! We made a reservation to be on the safe side, (we all know weekends anywhere a place can get packed quickly!) but when we arrived it wasn't crazy busy. We were seated inside quickly, and the place was very cozy with red pleather seating and tons of framed picture and an open view kitchen and big bar. We ordered a margherita pizza, one pasta dish, the Pomodoro bruschetta, a charcuterie board, and for dessert the tiramisu. Each dish was just stunning. Incredibly tasty, fresh, you really can't go wrong here. I'm usually disappointed by a lot of places charcuterie boards but POMO had some really great picks that paired very well together and it was a fair value. The pasta was INCREDIBLE, and you could tell was made with love and cooked perfectly. The pizza was perfectly thin crust and it has that beautiful taste only their kind of oven could make. (Also this might be random but the iced tea here was very refreshing and light!) Also, don't skimp on dessert whether it be the tiramisu like we had, or the gelato or Panacotta. Our tiramisu was out of this world and the gelato we saw looked so refreshing. read more

It's good for me to escape the dining bubble of North Scottsdale and explore downtown PHX. My neighbors invited me for dinner at Pomo and what a great experience. The host had the most lovely accent (I am guessing Italian) and was able to handle my friendly banter to hold a table. Since I was early, I bellied up for my trademark Manhattan. The bartender was on the game and mixed a good one. I briefly chatted w seat partner and former employee (now sous chef at Chico Malo) Trish. We were seated outside on the most perfect Phoenix eve. Gentle breeze and temp was just right. Our server Jocelyn was jammin', as Pomo was jammin', yet she provided fantastic service! Excellent food choices among our gang: a variety of pies: margherita, principe, and inferno, w an couple of apps. All worthy of a return visit. read more

We were so happy to be able to get a table at 9p on a Friday night. We had just drove in and struggled to find a food spot that was kid friendly! We were greeted quickly and got seated right away. The restaurant was very busy but the staff was super attentive and we got service very quickly! Their kids menu was a nice surprise and their kids portions were huge! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, we highly recommend the house bread and the bruschetta! The pizza came out really quick and was so good! I'm not sure what they use in their sauce but it was the best we've tried! The restaurant was pretty busy for a Friday night but the staff were upbeat and the service never faltered. We will definitely be back! read more

We happened upon this restaurant in 2020 while on a road trip. At the time, we thought it was one of the best pizzas we had ever had, and we planned on going back if every we went through Phoenix again. Just recently we ourselves again going through Phoenix, so we took the liberty of dropping by. We were not disappointed. This is absolutely one of the best pizzas I've ever had, maybe the best. Certainly the best crust I have ever tasted. I would recommend it to anybody. read more

The pizza is good however most times I've been, it's served cool in the middle. This has happened multiple times and if it's left for a bit too long on the counter prior to coming table-side, it's barely warm all the way through. Service is friendly, the menu is good. As for pasta, IMO it's served slightly too al dente. Ordering to-go, I've found that some of the pastas just stick together in a gooey mess, all clumped together and difficult to eat. Otherwise, in house the pasta is okay (I've tried three so far). If the oven temp or whatever is causing the cool spot on the pizza is corrected, it'd be such a better experience because I do like Pomo. read more

I really enjoy the food and the service at Pomo-downtown. We had the lasagne and torfuta with prosciutto. Excellent flavors. Our dining partners had the eggplant and the gnocchi. Seems like this is the default Plan B for those attempting Pizzeria Bianco. What's good: ambiance/vibe, them flavors What's not so good: pizza's undercarriage had too much flop for the amount of toppings on my 'za. Dave Portnoy would certainly agree. Disclaimer: I'm not the biggest fan of wood-fire pizza, but still remain objective. Pomo get's a 3.5 out of me. read more

Great downtown GF pizza! Simply the best crust ever! I was not expecting this to be this great. We also had the appetizer, bread with honey butter- that's what it is. The perfection of the texture of this toasted bread is fantastic. I ordered this for my daughter but had to taste it even though I'm allergic. I dipped my pizza crust in it and it was great. My daughter had the peach salad and added chicken. It was a generous heaping of chicken and she said it was fantastic! I will definitely visit again! read more

From the light and fluffy focaccia to the perfectly cooked pizza this place was superb. Even the cocktails were a plus. The servers were very attentive and the inside was clean and comfortable. Delicious! After hearing about this place for years, I finally made it there. My friends and I walked, so I don't know how the parking situation is. Bruschetta - We ordered 2 of them and they came with 2 pieces each. I tried the Pomodoro one and it was great, especially if you like garlic. Pizza - The Capricciosa was calling my name and it was worth it. I love artichoke hearts and prosciutto! The dough is tasty too. You know you have good crust when I eat it versus tossing it to the side. Two people can easily share one pizza. Gelato - I tried the coffee one with chocolate and carmel. All I can say is YUM! I went here last night with a group from work. We had a 7:30 reservation and when we showed up at 7:20, were seated right away. I got the sausage and mushroom pizza along with the Luna gelato. The pizza was delicious, but a little soggy. I had to use a fork and knife to eat it. The gelato was amazing! The service is the reason for four stars instead of five. It was slow and our server, although very nice, wasn't very attentive. I never got a refill of my drink, even after asking. All in all, it was a decent experience with good food. Great pizza place. They have a few locations and I have been to two of them multiple times. Service is usually quick and efficient. Not always the friendliest but it works. Probably have had better luck at their Scottsdale location over art district. Family likes this pizza over some of the other ones spread throughout the valley. read more

This is always a winner for me. The pizza is delicious, and the service is very good. I especially love sitting on their outdoor patio, which has such a nice urban cafe vibe. I've tried a few pizzas, and they were always good. I also love the spicy oil they serve with them. They have vegan options and gluten free options, so there is something for everyone. Really, though, what sets Pomo apart is their specials, specifically happy hour. Happy hour features cheap apps, as well as HALF OFF anything on the drink menu. They have an absolutely fabulous Montepulciano wine that is only $5 on happy hour. I can see this becoming my go-to happy hour spot, plus it is a nice place to take family or guests for a meal. read more

I'd like to preface this by saying that the staff here is amazing. Two months ago I would have rated this place 5 stars- no question. We've always had exemplary service from bar, service, and kitchen staff. That being said, this restaurant has changed for the worst over these last couple months. We used to be regulars here, visiting 3-4 days per week. However, a few weeks ago they changed their menu entirely. The salads are smaller with fewer toppings, the cocktails aren't as good, portions are smaller in general, and the staff appears stressed all the time now. They used to have the best happy hour in downtown, but now they charge more money for lower quality food and drinks. When you change your restaurant patrons expect it to change for the better, but this place definitely did not. It seems like management only cares about money now, which is truly unfortunate. read more
