Very generous with their portions which is AWESOME! Quick and friendly service. High quality fish and variety of toppings!

Small hole in the wall place located in a semi-busy plaza. This place is more of a to-go since seating is limited. Their prices are great! I ended up getting a large but the large bowl looked more of a medium to me - fish scoops were small (even though it's 5 scoops of fish). Fish was fresh and cold. Brown rice was good. I like supporting small businesses! Come here if you can for poke!

Decided to come here for a poke bowl after seeing such great reviews. The pricing here is amazing. 5 proteins for $15 is a steal! the portions were good as well. I am only bummed that there is not a lot of sauce and topping options. I would have loved ponzu sauce and some edamame. The food itself was great. Rice and fish were obviously fresh. Service was fast. The place is a little small which is okay, but gives an awkward space between another customer and I. Would def come back!

SUPER LOWKEY SPOT! You need to try this place! This place had tamago, yellowtail, and scallops for protein options, unlike most poke places. The restaurant also maintains a high level of cleanliness! Though the staff person's first language isn't English, they were incredibly kind and patient, making sure to understand exactly what I needed. The quality of both the food and service was outstanding--10/10 for both. The ambiance also stands out, creating a cozy yet welcoming environment. I've tried several poke places, and this one is easily in my top 3. Very fresh fish, and solid pricing at $15 for a large bowl with 5 scoops of fish. While the restaurant is on the smaller side, I highly recommend trying it for takeout. Definitely coming back soon!

We stopped by here on my birthday for a nice evening dinner. Got there a little before sunset. There's just something magical about eating outside during a sunset, especially at the Orange Plaza. The restaurant has such a cool look and vibe! We started off with the Hamachi crudo, salmon ceviche, and a bowl of clam "chowdah". The crudo was absolutely delicious, highly recommend. The salmon ceviche was really good but a bit heavy on the sauce for me. The clam chowder had whole clams in the shell throughout. That was fun to pick them out! For entrees we got the lean and mean plate with sea bass. It comes with salad and rice, we substituted the rice for black beans. We also got the skirt steak "bulgogi" which was served on top of mushrooms and bok choy with a sweet soy sauce. They accidentally brought out salmon instead of sea bass, but were very apologetic. They brought out a sea bass on the side and comped the entree to make up for it. Great service right there! The salmon and seabass were both delicious and cooked perfectly. The steak was tender and juicy, full of flavor. As a birthday gift they brought out a thai milk tea blondie sundae which was soooo good! Get it if you like sweets. I wish the owners all the best in their future endeavors, they created a great restaurant that many will miss. Thanks to all the servers, hostesses, cooks, and bussers as well for making my birthday dinner so special!

We started with a 1/2 dozen Kumomoto Oysters. I enjoy a splash of cocktail sauce and horseradish on mine. For dinner, I went with the Farmed Colombian Tilapia and my boyfriend had the Shrimp & Scallop Combo. I went with sautéed fresh spinach and Sweet Buttered Brentwood Corn, while he chose Brussels Sprouts with Mac and Cheese. They offer a basket of incredibly warm bread and butter. We skipped the option for dessert this time. They have indoor, bar, and outside patio seating. In inclement weather, ceiling fans or heaters help patrons stay comfortable. The restrooms are clean and the tvs show a variety of sports on them. Reservations are encouraged, especially when the Angels or Ducks are playing a home game. Everything else, is debatable. Food *Clam Chowder, cup ($9.50): 4/5. Rich, creamy, well-balanced. My girlfriend calls it the best she's had, but $9.50 for a cup is a tough sell on value alone. *Yellowtail Carpaccio ($19.50): fresh and clean, but a modest portion (5-6 pieces) for the price just feels like a big upsell. I'd ask for the dressing on the side; it comes drenched otherwise and would drown out the fish. *Fisherman's Shellfish Platter ($55): this is the best value on the menu. Great variety, shucked and prepared beautifully. The rock crab is broken and cut for easy cracking. Easily serves two as a medium lunch with a couple apps. The kitchen was accommodating on swaps. We traded mussels for extra littleneck clams w/ no issue. Alcohol Check *Lalo Blanco Tequila, shot ($14.50): If you're curious what a shot goes for at any given place. Would I Return Rating? Yes. For the shellfish platter specifically. I'd come back to work through more entrées and apps around it, but the platter is the main reason to return.

When dining in, we ordered a Create-Your-Own and a Mahi Mahi Basket for our mains, with a side of Garlic Noodles. When ordering take-out, we ordered a Create-Your-Own again, as well as Garlic Noodles, only this time we got the Tilapia Basket. The quality of each order was the same; eating at the restaurant or ordering to eat at home, there was no difference in portion size or flavor. When eating at the restaurant, our server was friendly and prompt. The food came out relatively fast, and the dining experience was nice; not too loud despite it being busy. The inside also has a nice "seafood boil" ambiance, as the walls are painted in a nicely decorated manner. My one piece of advice would be, as someone who eats spicy foods fairly often, is that if you order "hot", which is the next step up from "medium", understand that it is genuinely hot and spicy.

The Cajun fries were one of my favorites: so crispy and nicely seasoned! The chicken wings tasted good, a bit salty, but they were pretty big and meaty. I thought the shrimp sauce could have used a little more flavor, so I added some salt and it helped. The shrimp sauce had the perfect amount of garlic inside. The strawberry lemonade was a bit sour for me, but watering it down made it much better. I also love that they give complimentary ice cream at the end with green tea, strawberry, and vanilla flavors! And a fun bonus: spend $100 and you can get this cute lobster plushie keychain! Definitely check out Kick & Boil Crab if you're craving a seafood boil in Santa Ana!
