Solid and affordable place for poke! Ordering is easy as the menu and options are simple. I love that they include avocado in the price as most places typically don't offer that (except for Poki Bowl). My bowl was generously filled up as well! If I'm in the area, I'd totally make another visit to try out another sauce combination. REGULAR POKE BOWL: 4.25/5 (~$15) - half sushi rice, half spring mix - house sauce + sesame oil + unagi/spicy mayo drizzle The ingredients were super fresh! I was surprised by how buttery the salmon was. I also tried a scoop of the spicy salmon, which really was more like gochujang salmon instead of your typical spicy mayo salmon. Was good but probably wouldn't get again. The sauce was pretty good but could've used more sesame oil as the shoyu tasted pretty light. I found that the cucumbers got soggy and didn't hold up the crunch, which was a bummer. read more

This is an amazing local gem. The fish is fresh good quality. The portion is generous which is much appreciated. They keep choices simple and delicious. The place is clean and spacious. Uniqueness: One of the few Poke places that have yellowtail as an option! I've always been a big fan of Poke and if I were to recommend a great Poke place in Milpitas, Poki Run is definitely one of the top contenders for excellent poke. Fish quality was great, portions are big, and there are so many options to choose from. Surprised that this place has survived for so long and thankfully survived through the pandemic as well. Service staff was great and due to long lines, wait time was hit or miss. But aside from that, you'll always be getting excellent poke here, definitely coming back! read more

This place is 100% the standard for pokibowls! Especially since they include avocado at no extra charge. I ALWAYS get half black rice and half greens for my base. 1 scoop spicy tuna and 2 scoops hamachi (+$1/scoop). Extra cucumbers and onions. House spicy sauce. Alllll the free toppings and spicy mayo or blueberry mayo on top. SO GOOD. It's a pricy lunch so I don't go all the time (over $20/bowl). But when I do, I always enjoy it. The only thing about this place is that it always smells like bleach or some kind of cleaner when I walk in. I mean, the place IS spotless! So I guess it's not such a bad thing. read more

This is by far the best poki spot, not just in Milpitas, but all San Jose area. The fish is fresh, the price is reasonable (they do not charge for seaweed or avocado), and they are very generous with their servings. The workers are also friendly. 10/10 read more

It sits right in my price range for what I'm getting. Fresh protein and the ability to mix the bases is always a good mark. Service was fast and a second employee even came out when they noticed the line was going to get long. I don't know what radio they have, but it also plays great music. read more

I am very picky with my poki but I have to say that this place definitely met my expectations. Usually for the price poki can be underwhelming but this spot has the option of receiving rolls with your bowl which I think is a great addition and definitely a bang for your buck. Love this place! It's Korean infused poki!!! They have amazing sauces like mango and blueberry. The fish taste pretty good and haven't had a bad experience yet. They have black rice, which is my go to base. In terms of protein, I normally opt for spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and spicy shrimp however they have other proteins like tofu, Izumi-Tai, and many more. When you order, you'll be in and out ready to eat pretty fast. Service is friendly and easy going! read more

I regularly go to this place with my partner and I can't believe I haven't wrote a review yet. This place has black rice as a base, with avocado as one of the main toppings (no additional cost). They have some great selections. Service was great. I think next time I need to ask them on the recommended sauce to make it spicy and creamy. I think my only comment is to have less mayo in the crab salad and it will be fantastic! This place is definitely more of a take out. They have a few tables inside. For a non-chain poke place, this is surprisingly the best one I've ever eaten at in the bay area. It's clean, it's inviting,, and while this doesn't have any super fancy toppings or all sorts of random sauce combos, somehow the fish and rice taste better seasoned and fresher than other places. Really reminds me of my time in Hawaii, rather than feeling like a California poke place. read more

I can't believe I've been coming for years but never wrote a review omg food selection is great - offers black rice at no extra charge which is nice fish is always fresh sometimes the cucumber is soapy (? like the rinds/peel) but not sure what's causing it - doesn't happen often enough to be a concern no extra charge for seaweed salad or crab salad or avocado which is just unheard of at other places people are very nice & I used to go so often that they basically knew my order by heart a bit on the more pricey side for poki (about $20 a meal) but really filling for me read more

I've been coming here for years and the poké bowls have never disappointed! I enjoy that you can get combinations of bases and that the first scoop of avocado, seaweed salad, and crab meat are at no additional charge ($1.50 for additional scoops)! Definitely a bang for your buck. The service is always a pleasant and fast interaction. Overall, the ambiance is great. The inside of the establishment has always been clean and well kept. This place is my favorite Poke spot.The prices are more on the pricier side, but I really enjoy their poke. Their size large also includes 5 scoops of protein.The staff is pretty friendly. They also sell miso soup. The interior is clean and they have self-serve water. They have more seating compared to other poke spots that I have seen. I got the combo B with the spicy tuna roll. I got sushi rice, with tuna, salmon and spicy salmon. I got all the toppings to make the most of that price. Their toppings also include avocado and crab which costs extra at other places. I like their apple topping which adds a good crunch of sweetness. The ingredients and the fish tasted fresh. I usually get their mango and blueberry sauce which I haven't seen at other places.The spicy tuna roll was solid. I just wish the serving size was a little bigger. read more

The boyfriend and I met here for lunch. I must admit I was quite impressed by the variety of poke, toppings, and sauces laid out. Everything was fresh and they're pretty generous with topping the bowls off. I had my poke over mixed greens and the boyfriend had his with a combo of mixed greens and sushi rice. Very filling once the poke and toppings were mixed in -- the poke bowls are a great lunch portion. By the way, I'm generally one who could handle just about any spice level but the spicy sauce on their menu (there's a disclaimer reminding you how spicy it is) is really spicy. The kick is real so if you can't handle heat -- I would suggest going without. Would definitely throw this spot in the hat for lunch choices when I meet the boyfriend next for his lunch hour. read more

This was a cute Poke restaurant tucked at the end of a plaza in Milpitas. All of the ingredients were fresh and the employees were helpful, answering my friends' and my questions about the ingredients they used for health/allergy concerns. Honestly, this place is so generous because avocado is a topping they provide without extra charge, and they scoop a large portion for it as well. Their topping selection is also very large. The total serving size here was a bit smaller and a bit more expensive than what I've had at other poke restaurants, but I understand because it is a smaller business. The service was exemplary and their wide variety of ingredients compensated a bit for it. This is a satisfying Poke restaurant that I wish success. I hope to come here again if I am in the area. read more

honesty, might be one of the better poke spots in milpitas/san jose... A regular included 3 proteins and was $15 each bowl which is pretty normal for poke i guess! The sauce options were definitely more limited than other places like poke house, but the house sauce snd sesame oil was good enough for me! Topping options were pretty standard, you get one free scoop of crab salad and a free scoop of seaweed salad, but you need to pay for additional scoops of those (didn't think i needed more since the scoops were pretty reasonable!). The crab salad was super good, idk what was in it but it was so fresh and sweet! I will definitely be coming here again for my poke fix when i'm in the bay! read more

I decided I wanted to try more food places and picked this poke place! I'm so glad it's nearby us because this is our new go to. The ingredients are super fresh and the portion size is perfect. I usually half sushi rice and salad with tuna and octopus (which I realized isn't available all the time). The best thing about this place is the free seaweed salad AND avocado which they never skimp on. The sauces are super delicious and simple! Random spot I found in the area I grew up in and I could say this joint will be a favorite. I ordered through the app and had my sister pick up our orders, which was about a half hour wait during lunch hour traffic, but didn't mind since it was a quick run from our home. Everything was so fresh and delicious! The spicy sauce and the jalapenos def added more flavor! I ordered the regular bowl of 3 scoops of protein with Unagi Sauce. I thought my bowl was a bit overpriced in the beginning because of the small servings of the protein, but the overall freshness and the seaweed made up for it. I've had poke bowls in so many different locations, but I am convinced an immediate return to this joint must take place sooner than later. This is also my first time here in this new joint and overall impressed by the freshness of the protein and sauces used! Don't forget to stop by when you're craving a Poké Run! I used to not like coming here but I've grown to enjoy it! The way they do poke here is a little different from my usual poke house, but i find that it's a pretty refreshing bowl. The best part is seaweed salad and avocado are regular toppings. They also offer yellowtail as a fish option but it's extra per scoop. Even tho they don't have my favorite topping, mango, I still like the variety of toppings offered here. The apple slices adds a nice sweet flavor and crunch to the bowl that I never knew I needed. The crunchy noodles are a nice touch too! The things I didn't like is that they use those shakers for parmesan for furikake and it doesn't really dispense anything. And the poke could be cut smaller. I like bite sized pieces but sometimes it could be double or triple the size. read more

A quick and easy lunch stop! I ordered a regular size poke bowl with sushi rice. For choice of protein, I got 2 scoops of salmon and 1 scoop of tuna, sliced cucumbers, mixed with the house special sauce, a little squeeze of the spicy sauce, and a drizzle of sesame oil. I added a side of imitation crab meat, edamame, seaweed, furikake, and topped it all off with spicy mayo. I mixed everything together and it all tasted delicious. It was packed with flavor. The only thing is I wished they had a wasabi type of sauce for a kick. They didn't have a lot of sauce options. Other than that, it was pretty good! read more

Was craving poke and decided to give this place a try based on reviews. I placed an online order for pick up. The ordering form was easy to navigate. What stood out to me was that they charge extra for yellow tail (hamachi). I ordered a regular so that includes 3 scoops of protein. So they charge $1 extra PER scoop of yellow tail. So if you wanted all scoops of yellowtail, it would've been an extra $3 total. That $3 total would be better adding an extra scoop of another protein since the portion sizes are so small. I'm still giving this place 4 stars because I liked the flavor of the sauce. I did extra spicy which was not "really spicy" like their disclaimer claims, I think it was a decent heat. They don't charge extra for avocado though. Which I guess offsets the yellowtail extra cost, kinda.... read more

I got a regular bowl with sushi rice, spicy tuna, spicy crab, spicy shrimp, cucumber, onion, avacado, crab, edamame, corn, green onion, jalapeño, house sauce, spicy mayo, unagi sauce, all dry toppings. I've been to Poki Run pre-covid and have memory of it being one the better poke spots. However, I've been to it recently and they really skimp out on the proteins! Just looking at the old photos, the scoops of protein used to be much more! Looking at the 2020 reviews, I see actual scoops. Going in recently, they used teaspoons to scoop protein. Teaspoons that you use to stir your coffee. Even if you could load up that tea spoon, 5 scoops of that won't yield much. The meat quality is fine. I think it is comparable to other poke places but its on the higher end. They offer a lot of toppings and it's nice that they offer avocado already without charging you additionally. The really only complaint I have and the reason I'm rating this place two stars is because of the protein amount was really small. If they offered more protein, I could imagine myself giving this place 4-5 stars! Unfortunate that I had to write this low star review. Service is fast and polite and the inside features paintings of small artists which is cool. Maybe I'll try this place again sometime in the future. read more

No picture today as I quickly scarfed down my poke bowl. This is my favorite take-out raw fish spot in Milpitas. The fish is very fresh and I like that they offer healthier choices for their base such as black rice or greens (salad). I think they have an adequate number of sauces and toppings to select from. I usually get my poke bowl with greens - a very healthy lunch that fills me up but doesn't leave me drowsy for the rest of the day. The cashier, who I believe may also be the owner, is a very sweet lady. Staff are friendly and helpful. This is a wonderful stop to pick up a quick lunch. Sometimes the lines get long. I'm not the only one who enjoys the food here during the lunch rush, but the staff do try to move the ordering as quickly as possible so I never have to wait too long. Simple interior with a few tables. Busy during lunchtime so I usually order to go. read more

This is now one of my favorite poke places! They give you avocado crab and seaweed salad for free!!!! I didn't know they gave free crab so I ended up getting more crab. I definitely want to come back and try their other fish. I got their tuna and tofu and their fish seemed really fresh. I love that they have a lot of unique items and variety. Aside from tuna and salmon, there was also a white fish that they offered! They also have different flavored Mayo toppings such as blueberry and mango. I got their mango Mayo with their medium spicy sauce and it had a perfect amount of kick and sweetness. Also for base, they offer purple rice which is pretty awesome. Their portions are a bit smaller but their sizes are perfect to me! I'm not left with a bunch of leftover rice like other places. But I'm sure if you want more rice you could probably ask! This place is GREAT. Ordered a regular bowl (3 proteins) for $13 after taxes. Such a great price since poke bowls can START at $13! They offer premium FREE toppings such as avocado, seaweed salad and crab salad in every bowl. They have "black rice" or Korean purple rice as an option for the base. They also offer wasabi mayo, mango mayo, and blueberry mayo which I've never seen before. The wasabi mayo I tried was tasty! The black rice is tasty and more healthier for you, but I'm gonna keep getting half sushi rice half black rice since I'd miss the stickiness of the sushi rice. For proteins, the spicy sauce has an actual kick to it!! Definitely gonna keep getting the house and spicy sauce together. The spicy tuna is also delicious. Service was exceptional. Super surprised with this spot. The fish was fresh! I didn't have high expectations, but I was really satisfied. First time I had apples in my poke and I really enjoyed it! It was refreshing and crisp. Two sizes to choose from with daily specials. They have an option to upgrade for Hamachi the day I went. Their sauces are super simple and to the point. This is the only poke place I know who includes the avocado for free, unless they charged me without notice. -1 star for price and size of the bowl. Issues like this point to a lack of quality control, whether that's from insufficient training or not taking enough care when preparing orders.
