Came here in hopes of grabbing a drink for myself and for my toddler. First things first, the menu can seem a bit overwhelming since there is signage after signage of offerings. POSTED. EVERYWHERE. I guess Aroma Coffee & Snacks comes in handy for those who are indecisive and need a wide selection to view and weed through. The young lady stepped out from the back fairly quickly. The item that caught my daughter's eye was the yogurt litchi and since she is known for being quite picky when it comes to her wants, I reached out to the staffer for her take on this purchase. Extra points for her being super honest and not just trying to push on additional sales. I walked away with the avocado smash, requested with extra sweetness & ice on the side. The order was made exactly how i requested. 5/5 stars.

My family and I each got the smashed avocado. It's less like bambu's version and reminds me of the avocado condensed milk dessert growing up. Very busy but didn't take too long. No frills place, but you do have an option to sit and enjoy your sweet treats

I stopped by since it's been over 5 years now. The small business was kind of suffering back then. Nowadays, beverages are much better in taste, but note, it's pricey for over $8 per beverage dessert now (with taxes included). You would think this food court area would have more affordable options, but don't expect it here. Selections are still good and size cup too. My regular Halo Halo still tasted good. Fried food items are decent. Cashier was quick and efficient. Cash and cards accepted. No self service kiosk though. Place isn't huge, but it's an old spot for convenience. At least there's still lots of tables and chairs here. They used to take a long time here when processing customer orders. I'm glad they've improved a bit. Place can use an upgrade in interior design these days. It's a casual place to grab and go. You can try ice cream sandwiches or buy bags of lumpia. As long as beverage desserts still taste good, it's definitely surviving.

Smashed avocado w/ no sugar

Whenever my mom and I visit Seafood City, stopping by Aroma is an absolute must. One drink we can't resist is their smashed avocado drink--it's our go-to every time! We always order it with no sugar because, honestly, that's the best way to enjoy it. The natural flavors of the fresh avocado, jellies, and other toppings shine through without any added sweetness. In my opinion, it's always a solid 10/10--refreshing, flavorful, and the perfect treat! If you're looking for a place with delicious drinks and snacks, Aroma is the spot to be. I highly recommend giving it a try, especially if you love avocado-based drinks!

Been going here since forever... still the best smashed avocado I have ever tasted. Although now, I request for just 50% sugar, not bec it is too sweet with 100%, but just bec I am more aware to take care of myself. And honestly, lessening the sugar did not lessen the quality.

We were in the area running errands and had one last stop to the Great Mall down the street. Aroma Coffee and Snacks offers a variety of Vietnamese Desserts (Che), coffee drinks, fresh juices, smoothies, milk tea drinks, and snacks. I ordered the Avocado Smash and I would confidently argue that this dessert drink is the star of the drink menu. It was perfect on all accounts for a dessert drink -- bite size avocado bits with tapioca everything. It's one of those things that can't be described, only experienced! We ordered some snacks to share: French Fries and Crispy Shrimp Rolls. There is a small dining area in the front and a bigger one toward the back door leading to the parking lot. It's located as a stand inside an indoor mall so you'll feel more foot traffic than usual compared to a traditional storefront. I will make it a point to stop in for an Avocado Smash from their menu when I'm in Milpitas again. My only critique is when I ask for extra ketchup for my fries (which I had to twice), please give me more than 3 ketchup packets at a time. I know times are tough but it's a big basket of fries to get through with just 3 packets of ketchup. Photo attached for a visual. We were generous with gratuity ($7) of a $28 bill for two drinks and two snacks -- you could have just given me extra ketchup the first time I asked. Sigh.

My go-to spot after grocery shopping at Seafood City. I haven't really tried any other dessert drink besides their smashed avocado which is always my go-to and it's always satisfying every single time. The avocados are ripe and they give just the right amount of jelly toppings and ice. I recently tried their smashed avocado purple rice drink and it was bomb. I'm a fan of purple sticky rice so adding it to the smashed avocado drink added a nice texture/taste to the overall drink.

3.5 stars. Aroma Coffee and Snacks is located in the plaza that has Seafood City, Korea Garden, Goldilocks, etc. A small shop that has vietnamese drinks, che desserts, snacks, etc. Dark Grass Jelly was good and creamy. It was filled with mung beans, coconut milk, agar agar, and grass jelly. Tasty. The cashier is friendly. I assume she's the owner. Quick and easy to order. Cash or card for payment. They also have an area to sit and enjoy.

This place is my go to place for Smashed Avocado while my boys love the Taro Smashed. I have not tried their other drinks but I'm sure they are all good. They now have Halohalo, maybe I should try that next time I come.

They have refreshing Vietnamese Che (dessert drinks). Toppings in the desserts have become scarce lately. Price is about $6.50 depending on which ones you get. A complaint is that they should have the prices listed on the menu, but it is nowhere to be found. The price is comparable to boba drinks next door, but the the toppings are better. The smashed avocado is popular here. I've tried the Thai, the egg pudding, mango tango, cassava, young coconut, saba & halo halo desserts. They're all good. The cassava has real chunks in it. The saba may be seasonal and I feel that the cantaloupe is too thick to suck up the straw- you can ask for a spoon to eat it. They used to offer snacks, but they've made the menu more simplified.

We ended up going again the next day to try it. We ordered the Premium Strawberry Sulbing and the Mozzarella Injeolmi Toast. The bingsoo was delicious and not too sweet, loaded with fresh strawberries and a big cheesecake wedge. It's especially great for a hot summer day. The portion size was good to share between two people. The toast was yummy but does have a sweeter taste profile due to the honey drizzle on top. Overall a great experience! We'll definitely be coming back!

We got the red bean and the strawberry flavors - the portions were very large for a bay-area reasonable price of less than $15 item. It was my first visit and honestly, I was a bit disappointed; while there were lots of fresh fruits, I found the flavor bland and not sweet enough - which may be someone's jam? I wished it had more condensed milk to give it a more creamy flavor. The shaved ice was beautiful and fluffy - i'd say this is the main draw that may bring me back to try new flavors. There is plenty of seating inside for tables of two or even small groups. Parking can be difficult since many popular establishments are in the same strip mall so plan ahead for parking time.

My husband and I visited while waiting for a table at Flaming Ox, the restaurant next door. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the cashier and we browsed around leisurely looking at all the different food items. This establishment is small, but there are so many different offerings: pineapple cakes (a Taiwanese staple), chili oil, tea, coffee, ice cream, and so much more. I'd really love to come back here and try out the more unique foods like their rice cakes and mung bean ice cream, but my husband and I got a notification that our table was ready so we went to eat our lunch. We returned after our meal and were greeted again. We looked at all the pineapple cakes again because my family enjoys them so much and my husband wanted to gift them a box for a Christmas present. All of the boxes are so beautifully designed and we finally settled on one. The cashier was very kind and talked to us about the iTaiwan membership and how to get the most benefits out of it. She also packaged the pineapple cakes in a cute bag for us for free! A very cozy story run by cute people. I will most definitely visit again.

That warm & cold combo is a total game changer! Don't believe me??? Try it!!! We went with a big group and tried a bit of everything: My Order: Cookies & Crème soft serve with Fruity Pebbles. My Sister: Matcha & Milk soft serve with Cocoa Pebbles. My Girl: Matcha & Milk combo with Custard filling and Graham Cracker sprinkles. We also grabbed a 5-pack of Taiyaki to try all the flavors. The Cookies & Crème and Custard were solid classics, and the Red Bean and Cheddar are must-tries if you want something different. But the standout was the Dubai Chocolate yummmmmy!!! seasonal flavor catch it while you can! Huge thanks to the crew for being patient with our order as some of us couldn't decide what they wanted as their toppings lol. This spot is a 10/10 for dessert in San Jose!

I haven't been here in a while and saw that they have a dubai chocolate taiyaki flavor so I had to try it!! My absolute favorite is the nutella one you can't go wrong with it. I got 2 taiyaki, 1 nutella and 1 dubai chocolate to try. I wish that there was more nutella filling inside there wasn't that much this time :/ The dubai chocolate one was so disappointing. It was hard to eat and it was a lot to chew. The inside was a bit dry, I think there could be more of the pistachio creme inside. Wouldn't get the dubai chocolate taiyaki again since the other flavors are so much better.
