I was a little disappointed with the online order, theyre missing so many options for toppings like sesame seeds, crispy onions, i asked for edemame, green onion and spicy mayo and NOWHERE TO BE FOUND! Definitely not pleased with this online service i didnt have enough time to walk in and order in person now im upset my order wasnt made the way i asked for it..

They give you large portions and crab meat comes in two versions: regular and spicy. The menu is quite varied with sushi rolls, hand rolls and baked sushi .

I love the way the guy working there makes my bowls, I always forget to ask his name but he's always patient and kind. I wish his coworkers were as patient as he is, ESPECIALLY when making someone's bowl. I understand wanting to close and go home but you can taste the love or hate in the food. ENERGY TRANSFERS INTO FOOD, PLEASE DO BETTER!

Sushi/Poke are a must for me & this is one of my favorite spots for it. I have been coming here since I moved to Ontario and the workers there would definitely tell you so. The inside is always clean and the service is always on point. The quality and price are one of the best in the area. When I eat out, it's usually always here. It also helps that it's really close to home. If you love sushi and poke just as much as I do, you will absolutely enjoy it.

I haven't had good poki in the IE in a while so on my way home from West Covina, I went on yelp to see what I can find and Poki & Maki came up! I did thing it was a bit pricey but I figured it would be that anywhere we go. I ordered two regular bowls which come with 3 proteins. They do hefty scoops of the proteins and rice which is why the price makes sense. Next time I would maybe try the small since I did have some left over! Overall the poke was really fresh and would definitely come back! The service was great too, the girl helping me was very nice. It was empty but they had indoor seating. I think this place is a gem in Montclair!

Poke & Maki is a solid option for good poke. Staff are nice enough. Service is pretty quick; it honestly just depends on how fast people are when picking their options. The interior is clean, nicely decorated, and has a good amount of indoor seating. A single stall (clean) restroom is available. Parking is easy as they have a shared private lot in a medium-sized plaza. Noise level is mild, but could be moderate if they're busier. The poke is great! They have a good amount of protein and topping options, and everything looks and tastes fresh. The protein is all tasty; though, the spicy salmon is not spicy at all. They aren't overly generous with portions, but even a small bowl's overall serving size is satisfying. Pre-made poke bowls, rice bowls, and sushi rolls are available. They also offer various bottled drinks and some simple desserts. Prices are fair; they're actually cheaper than most places. Overall, they are worth a try if you're in the area!

Salmon Tuna

Disappointed. It looked ok but it didn't taste fresh. The sushi rice is too sour and lack of topping options.

poki & maki is a good option for poke in the IE! i got the salmon, spicy salmon, and spicy tuna. they gave soooo much my bowl was actually huge! the fish quality was good, but it was really overpowered by the spicy mayo sauce. i was under the impression that it would be more like a sriracha mayo but it was very heavy on the mayo and not enough on the spice. next time i'll probably try a different sauce!

Avocado Roll

Decided to try it out since my husband was getting a poke bowl and the food did not disappoint. His poke bowl was huge and a little under $20 which i found reasonable.

This Pokey is a must try. Everything's fresh Workers are friendly Five stars in my book!

Bowls looked super fresh and colorful. I don't really like seafood so I can't judge the taste of the crab but everything smelled and looked great. The spam musubi is good just wish the rice was seasoned better. Without any sauce or ponzu it all tasted a little bland.

Small Poke Bowl, tuna and spicy salmon.

I used to dislike raw fish, but I was willing to give it another try at Poki & Maki. My life has changed, the tuna and spicy salmon have the most delicious melt in your mouth texture and flavor! I think I'm getting poke around twice a week now, I'm obsessed. The staff always works hard to make a great bowl. 10/10!

Best poke spot ever. Just as good as the poke in Hawaii i swear. If you need a sign to try this place TRUST MEEEE, i always build my own bowl or i get the grilled salmon bowl with eel sauce and spicy mayo, try that if you don't like raw fish, it's sooooo good

Regular 3 scoop bowls.

Fast, kind, and efficient customer service. I didn't care for this place because it lacks variety of fish and their sauces are just ok.

The salmon belly is luxuriously fatty and melts the moment it hits your tongue, while the yellowtail belly carries a clean, natural sweetness that's hard to find at this price point. Even the squid--though slightly chewy as expected--tastes fresh, subtly sweet, and has that pleasant bounce you want. Their Bake Crawfish Roll is the real star. Generously packed, rich, and satisfying without being overly heavy. For the price, the value is honestly exceptional. Even as takeout, the rolls hold their structure, the rice never arrives soggy, and the temperature is always on point. Takeout usually takes about 20-30 minutes, but it's worth the wait. I often drive all the way from Rancho just to pick up my order, and it's consistently worth the trip. Great quality, great portions, and half-off rolls that actually taste premium -- that's rare. Its broth is rich, creamy, and savory. Every bite felt like heaven. (Important Note: Currently, there's a Yelp Check-In Promotion! Free Ice Cream, Soda, or Hot Tea for one in-person Check-In.) I arrived at Kaiba (La Verne) on Saturday (around 1:45PM). Parking is easy. The lot is spacious & big. Service felt professional, accommodating, and welcoming. My server (Jayden) worked hard. Jayden maintained a bright cheery demeanor; Jayden was very attentive & quickly assisted me; and Jayden always worked non-stop in the background. My food arrived around 6 minutes and 15 seconds. Very fast!! As mentioned, I found happiness in my meal. This Tonkotsu Ramen felt memorable and special. Its egg is silky, falling apart effortlessly as it hits the tongue. Its chasu is charred, tender, and thick. The broth is creamy and rich. And most importantly, the noodles are bountiful and springy. I felt all my stress seep away with each euphoric bite. In addition, the Gyoza tasted fresh and crisp. Its filling came juicy, and I reveled how each bite left a light crunch. And the Green Tea Ice Cream (Complimentary with Yelp Check-In Promotion) tasted chill, smooth, and refreshing. All in all, the value and quality of this meal felt unmatched. Concerning ambiance, Kaiba (La Verne) felt a little sporadic. It's clean, spacious, and well-ventilated. However, its appearance is a little ugly since folded plastic bags and boxes are sprawled outside in plain view. Still, I appreciated the food photos on the wall. Kaiba (La Verne) also has utility. I appreciated the flat screen TV; it plays the football game. Also, I observed a high-chair for kids, so this location is family friendly. The location also felt spacious with its high ceiling. Overall, I had a lovely, magical experience at Kaiba (La Verne). I am very excited that the hype is genuine. I left full and happy. If you love ramen, this is an easy recommendation. 5 out of 5.
