This place is a locally owned new restaurant and bar. Clean and welcoming on the inside. A few seats at the bar and plenty of seating inside and out. All the food is made from scratch. I have enjoyed everything we have tried. nachos, wings, cheesw curds, sweet potato fries are THE BEST, pork sandwich, etc. All delicious! It's a busy parking lot but I've always found a spot nearby. This post is not meant to be malicious, I 100% support local small business. However, I just don't understand the hype with this place. I think the high ratings are just because there's simply not a lot of other restaurant competition around that's not a chain. I've been here 5 times and I will say that the service and people here are always helpful and great. The food on the other hand is like upscale hospital food. No presentation, no stand outs on the menu, nothing spectacular. I understand that this is a "tavern" but you can still strive to serve better quality or better tasting food or maybe lower the prices to match the quality of food. Overall, the people are great but I so badly want this place to do better when it comes to their menu and what they're serving. Even if they cut down their items on the menu by 80% but served 6-8 really good items I'd be stoked. Ambiance is just ok, it's a tavern, I wouldn't expect much regardless. I tried this place for breakfast, and was really disappointed. We ordered the California benedict and French toast. The French toast was pathetic. Super thin, cheap bread, which tasted funny. The California Benedict was also strange with honey ham, an untoasted (chewy) English muffin, and a hard egg (poached, but overcooked with a hard yolk). Great neighborhood bar with amazing service! I've been for breakfast and dinner and had completely different experiences both times. The scramble wasn't amazing and my drink was barely filled to the top. Went back for dinner and soft pretzels were delicious with an amazing beer selection! Our first time here. We celebrated grandparents day with our grandson at this smallish but beautifully styled restaurant. While the place was small the food was mighty in terms of taste and portion size. I had the fish and chips and upsized with onion rings while my wife had the Ciabatta burger. The fish was simply amazing - a light and crunchy coating. The burger was awesome; the Ciabatta roll as a perfect palette for the meat and toppings. My grandson has the chicken wings with BBQ sauce which were sticky, sweet and delicious. Talia, our server and Ryan, the manager made us feel like we were at home. We will be back. read more

Normally, this word be more like a 1-2 but there's two factors to take into consideration, so please bear with me. I will be giving this place another try, but I wanna wait a month or so for them to break in their NEWness. 1st off it's a brewery so people come here for the alcohol. I'm not much of an alcoholic, but I will occasionally drink. That being said, we only tried a couple girly drinks, and they were pretty strong but good. If you like strong girly drinks, this will be a good place to visit. 2nd this is where it went bad.... There were 4 of us and all 4 of our meals or wrong. We also noticed other tables got their food before we did that came in, sat down and ordered long after we did. The waitress didn't come around to make sure we were OK or need anything. The good news, a good friend of mine actually works here, and I know how much she cares and does a phenomenal job at waitressing. She had stopped by the table, we spoke to her. She desperately try to fix it, the manager came over and come to our entire meal to include the drinks. Like I said, normally, this would be a 1 review & I would never come back, but I do know these 2 members of the team really care & I think after they work out some of the being new bugs, I'm going to give it another chance. My husband and I wanted to like the place but, sadly, it was an overall disappointment. I will start by saying that the final person that we dealt with, the woman who brought our bill and to-go box, was nice and personable. Aside from her, the greeter and the other wait staff were not very friendly. We were also surprised that, with such a simple order, they didn't get it right. We ordered the carne asada nachos and wings. The nachos came out without the added guacamole and the wing order was simply wrong. The presentation of the nachos also was not very appealing. We also had to ask twice for small plates. The establishment also was quite sterile. There were five TVs in the inside area for Sunday afternoon football. One TV was stuck on a Little Caesar's commercial, one was not on, one was tuned to some kind of awards ceremony, and two were tuned into the Packers/Vikings game. There was no sound at all in the establishment. They were neither playing music nor the football game sound. It made the entire feel of the place beyond odd. Hard pass. We walked in to this EMPTY restaurant on a Sunday morning for breakfast, which should have been a red flag as most breakfast places have a wait, but it was early and we gave it a shot. Our food came out SO fast it was obviously already cooked before we got there and ordered. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy, and I tried the chicken fried chicken which came with the same "gravy." No where on this menu does it say that this is HAM gravy (not traditional sausage) and neither of us are ham people, not to mention the large chunks of onion in it. It came with POWDERED eggs and frozen Ore-Ida potatoes! You know the ones, the cubes with the peppers and onions. My husband was pretty sure his coffee was instant coffee. Why on earth you would open a "tavern" and serve cafeteria food is beyond me, especially at fresh food prices. There is nothing easier, or cheaper, than making fresh potatoes at the very least!! Pure laziness in this kitchen. We won't be back, good luck lasting. In response to owner comment: I have been in the restaurant industry for over 30 years, and know food that obviously was cut by a machine and not by hand when I see it. Please don't insult our intelligence and think that everyone will believe you, just because you "said so." I also know powdered eggs when they are shoveled out after sitting around. There is NO WAY our food was cooked after we ordered, it was simply short-cut assembled. I can spoon that out at a cheap hotel buffet all by myself. You are pretty quick to respond to negative reviews, maybe you should put that go-getter attitude into your kitchen. No, we won't give you another shot at over charging us for cafeteria food. read more

We were seated right away when we arrived and took a booth which was awesome. Lots of space to sit, but this place needs to add on more room for expansion as well as a bigger parking lot. It's very busy here so be prepared to search for a parking spot on the premises or plan to park across the way. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. The beer was cold and refreshing. Although I thought it could have a few more choices of local brewery's offered. The happy hour specials were adequate but could offer more choices. The food arrived shortly after we ordered and the kitchen was very busy with filling tickets. Compliments to the chefs in the back as it was served hot and fresh. Everyone there was busy and still attentive to customers needs. I give this place 5 stars for establishing this business which was opened fairly recently. They have worked out the opening bugs and off to a great start. I can only hope they keep up the five star quality service and food as we are desperate for a good place to call our place in our Eastmark neighborhood. Compliments to the owners for starting up a business here where there isn't much shopping, but given time this neighborhood will be booming and bustling with business. The pictures tell the story. All were very good and looking forward to trying more on their menu. Portions were plentiful as well. We both could have taken home leftovers. Next time I believe we will split a meal to try everything on their menu. An appetizer looked good coming out of the kitchen which we just tried the hummus platter which was excellent. We will return. That's a promise. One last thing, as always this place is bustling so if you're looking for a quiet dinner or romantic dinner, probably look elsewhere. I don't usually review places however our experience was so horrible yesterday I will never return My husband and I sat at the bar around 3pm. There were 2 bartenders tending to the bar and restaurant. The pregnant bartender could not be bothered to take our order or make drinks. She stood there and talked to a couple at the bar for over 20 minutes ignoring everyone else. The other bartender reprimanded her multiple times to get her to make drinks and actually serve people. If we would have had cash we would have walked out. Others at the bar were saying the same and it almost became a running joke how bad the service was. We will stick to somewhere else with better service and staff that actually want to work read more
