We have been on the hunt for The best Monte Christo sandwich in the East valley so of course that was first on our order. We also ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich and the green chili egg burrito. In order from great to bad 1). Green chili burrito (I'd come back for this). 2). Croissant breakfast sandwich (how can you go wrong with something so basic). 3). Monte Christo sandwich hit our list at the very bottom out of 5 other locations. Very small portions of protein and overdone batter (left in fryer too long). The service was average, they could have used another server but they were doing their best. Well, I got called at 9 o'clock to have breakfast at 9:30 here at.22 Tavern so I hurried up and got ready met them. They just got their food as I sat down. They both had steaks and steak and eggs. So I ordered the same thing I got my medium rare came in just perfect steak. My friend said her steak was pretty salty. Wasn't too happy with it only ate a quarter of it. Her husband had the same thing and when I got mine, mine was salty, but I wasn't sure if it was just the seasoning that maybe it had too much salt but mine was done exactly the way I wanted it so I ate the whole thing ambience twice it was pretty nice little bar pretty busy give it a try. This is a great addition in Eastmark a community in east Mesa. I've been here once for lunch and now for dinner. It's on the smaller side but does have some outdoor seating and also has quite the following. My daughter and family come here at least once a week because the food is that good. The staff are very attentive we had a few different people checking on us during our most recent visit. They have a good selection of beer, wine and cocktails. I really enjoyed a southwest salad with chicken and the dressing was delicious! Everyone was very happy with their dinner selection, and they have a decent selection of kids meals on their menu. Both times I've been here with my young granddaughter she's cleaned her plate, that says something! I'm sure I'll be back soon. read more

Came here for breakfast on Sunday around 1030ish. Pretty busy but nothing crazy. Walker in with sign by front saying, seat yourself so we did. Sat and waited for about 5 mins with nobody contacting us, no menu, nothing. Watch other people get sat and menu delivered. Other staff looked at us walked by nothing. Not to a good start, lack of teamwork from other staff to greet new customers. Finally waitress came brought our menu. Ordered chicken fried chicken with side of biscuit and gravy. Also ordered the chorizacado scramble. Food didn't take too long, chicken fried chicken looked pretty good with good size chicken. Chorizo plate looked plane even with slices of fresh avacado. Took my first bite of my dish and sad to say it had no flavor what so ever. Tasted like they cooked the chorizo, patted dry the chorizo and added to the eggs and cooked it. It didn't not have any seasoning nor could I taste the chorizo. You know it's bad when I was debating on adding salt. Instead I put extra chalolua sauce on the dish. I do give them prop for adding fresh slices of avacado. Chicken fried chicken was pretty good. Chicken was nice and crispy outside and chicken was nice and moist inside. Biscuit was disappointing. Not fluffy fresh made kind. Gravy was not too bad but had this weird after taste. Couldn't figure out if it was too much greesee or butter. I don't know, It seems like every time whatever his order is always way better than what I get and definitely was the case here. His cheeseburger was massive and overflowing with fresh vegetables , and a nice thick patty, and my Reuben hold the Swiss cheese was just boring and very greasy with no flavor, no excitement . there was barely any sauerkraut which is what I was looking forward to the most to cut the greasy flavor and very minimal thousand island dressing also. He also got the side salad, which looked like it had homemade blue cheese dressing. Their fries have a coating over them, which was crunchy. clean restaurant with friendly service. but please also explain how when I hold the cheese on my sandwich he gets charged extra to sub the cheese on his cheeseburger..... seems like they should've just taken the Swiss off mine and put it on his at no extra charge. read more

There wasn't a single parking spot, so we had to park at a different restaurant and walk over. Much to our surprise there were open tables. The restaurant is a lot smaller inside than it looks. It has 13 tables. There are a few more in the bar area. They also have outdoor tables. I love that they play country music. A sign was up stating to seat yourself. Our server came over fairly promptly. Hubby got a beer & I got vodka and cranberry juice. They do not have Tito's so I got Goose. The beer was really cold. My drink had a heavy pour. I couldn't wait to try the crab cakes. I've been wanting crab cakes for a while, & since it's my birthday I decided to splurge and pay $19 for 2 crab cakes. We also ordered the fried mushrooms since we both love fried mushrooms. We get them any time we can. I ordered the shrimp dinner & hubby got the Ruben sandwich with fries. The mushrooms were excellent! The breading was different than we've ever had. They were crispy and so good. I would not get the crab cakes again. I was super disappointed with them. They lack texture, crab, and crab taste. They were mushy. The shrimp were huge. The cook was perfect & had a good snap. However, the were super greasy. I wouldn't get them fried again; maybe grilled. I do not like fries that are battered, & theirs are battered. The coleslaw was good. Hubby loves Ruben sandwiches especially when they are made with pastrami. He loved the rye bread, but that was all. The pastrami was way too fatty, the sauerkraut wasn't very good & the sandwich was a soggy mess. We had 2 drinks each, 2 appetizers and 2 meals, & with the tip it was $140. For that price it wasn't worth it. We don't see a reason to return. read more

Dont remember exactly what other than taco Tuesday and wings on Monday. Saturday prime rib. It was almost full on a Saturday night but we're lucky to get a table right away. The server was really good, and provided really good recommendations. I was confused between two sandwiches as one had nice flavor but it was grilled. But they said they could sub the fried chicken instead of grilled which made it easier for me to choose. It was probably the biggest chicken sandwich I have had. The patty was quite big. Golden Vista lunch outing today with neighbors and we came here. There were 10 of us & we got there at 11 when they opened. We had the back wall area to ourselves. It's a small place but the ambiance, even when it got busy, was still quiet. Most all of us ordered from the lunch special part of the menu. I ordered the soup & salad special, which was Clam Chowder soup & a house salad. Very tasty & filling! I had Peach iced tea to drink & got one for the ride home as well! I got through half the soup & was full so I took it and the salad to go. We had a really good waitress and her service was impeccable! She kept our drinks filled & checked on us a lot! Service was okay, the server was a bit scattered... However, in her defense, our table did keep growing in size. Even before that, she forgot several coffees and just was a little all over the place. I ordered the Avocado Toast.. I'm sorry to admit, it looked WAY better than it tasted. I'm a foodie so I like to eat a lot but it was honestly really just Not Good. I opted in for the .22 Lemonade HIGHLY recommend! Lunch was delivered & everything was delicious. Chili verde was "muah " & My burger (built it myself) was prepared just right & everyone at the table was pleased.... If that was our only experience, I'd be giving a 5, however... time two was less awesome. Just my man & me... quick to get a seat - same section, but it was so freaking cold we couldn't relax. Service was fine, not as friendly as before, but pleasant. I went for the same & built my own burger. Ordered it medium rare... it was perfect. My man built one, too, he ordered it rare & it came out well done. He was bummed. We will certainly give it another try. We have always had great service every time we have gone to Point 22 Tavern, but this time it was even better! Sara was our waitress tonight and really set the bar high. She was attentive and friendly, but more importantly she was observant. Our food was brought out by someone else and the plate that had the chicken tenders had the ranch spilled. Unfortunately my son doesn't like anything on the tenders so we tried to wipe them off. Sara offered to replace them but we turned the offer down. About 10 minutes later she arrived with a new plate of tenders with the comment that she wanted my son to enjoy his dinner. My first time here. We got there at 5pm and the inside was already pretty packed. It was smaller than I had expected but seemed cozy. Came with a big group and we were seated in the patio. The patio was comfortable, and had shades to keep the sun blinding you. After the sun went down, they had patio heaters which kept us warm. Also pet friendly. Hubby ordered the prime rib sandwich that came with fries. I had a bite and thought it was pretty tasty. Hubby thought it was just ok. I wasn't really hungry so I just ordered fried zucchini's and it was crispy with good flavor. The service was superb especially considering how busy they were. The servers continuously checked in with us. We stayed until 9pm and they were still pretty busy. Definitely will come back as they have good food at reasonable prices and great service. read more

It's always exciting to see new places pop up for casual hangs, and we've made the drive up from Queen Creek a few times now for lunch or dinner. Now for the not-so-great part--there's one staff member who consistently brings down the experience. The blonde, who is often behind the bar, has a noticeably negative attitude. She comes off cold, unfriendly, and honestly makes us uncomfortable enough that we'd rather wait for a table than sit at the bar if she's working. This isn't just a one-off experience either; it's been consistent enough to warrant mentioning in hopes it leads to some improvement. To wrap it up, the beer selection is solid, and the wings, homemade tenders, and Philly cheesesteak are all top-tier. I've been to Point 22 Tavern multiple times with Ollie, my small Yorkie and federally recognized deaf service dog, who sits quietly in a stroller next to me. Never once was there an issue--until now. Today, the manager approached us with an unnecessarily rude and aggressive tone, insisting that Ollie be placed on the floor and under the table. This demand goes directly against the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which legally protects service animals in public spaces--regardless of whether they're walking, carried, or in a stroller. I explained this, but she doubled down, showing zero understanding or respect. It was blatant discrimination, and I walked out. The treatment I received was humiliating and completely out of line--not just for me, but for anyone who relies on a service animal. This kind of behavior has no place in a public-facing business. To make matters worse, I later found out this place has racked up recent health violations, including improper handwashing after handling raw chicken and using cleaning rags in a hand-wash sink. Disrespectful and unsanitary? No thanks. Zero stars for Point 22 Tavern. (Yelp forced me to post one star for posting) I will never return--and I'm currently exploring appropriate channels to report this ADA violation. In total we got 4 drinks (3 mixed drinks and 1 beer) and our tab was $39. They have a good happy hour and they have daily specials on food too. Tables were all wobbly and chairs were horrible. Menu: generic bar food. Deep fried and grilled. Kept asking for a drink menu and was constantly told to go inside and look at some chalkboard. Food: Disappointing at best. Burger patties obviously cooked from frozen. Service: slow and unhelpful. Never ordered a beer because no beer list could be provided. Overall: This place is hot garbage. The staff was friendly and the environment was cozy, especially for being a sports kinda bar. I had a great experience. Brand new spot just opened not too far from my house. It's not the biggest spot but it is very nicely set up. It's plenty of parking. The atmosphere is really nice. The hostess was nice. The waitress was extremely helpful. They have great drink specials they have a very very wide variety on their menu. The only negative thing I will say is the chicken tenders and the boneless chicken could've used much more seasoning. The barbecue sauce is extremely good. It wasn't a favorite but it was good. For my main I ordered a southwest burger with no bun. I'm a fan of fresh jalapeños. Got it medium cook with fries. Unfortunately the menu doesn't mention its beer bartered. So I ordered a replacement of sweet potatoes that my waiter said was gf. My burger was more well done rather than medium. Overall the burger was good. Nothing too fancy. The sweet potato fries were dusted with sugar. A little too sweet for me but they is preference. I wouldn't make a return trip here only because I don't live near here. But for a local joint I think it fits the bill. read more
