Plonk-Plonk Tammy coming through! Hey y'all it's your favorite Florida belle Tammy the Tour Guide and I want to tell y'all about my wild night at Plonk, Bozeman, Montana's premiere Wine and Cocktail bar.
I'll answer a series of questions y'all are probably wondering below.
Q: "Tammy why were you in Montana, did you get lost again you crazy girl?":
A: No I didn't get lost, you know I can't 'legally drive'! Anyway I was visiting Peggy, one of my old Sunday school cohorts, for her 43rd birthday with my sassy ladies Tina, Mary Anne, and Fat Pat (she's a big ole girl). Peggy moved to Montana after high school to pursue an acting career with the Prairie Wagon Players, a local theater group on wooden wheels. The Players disbanded after their director got awful reviews on their mobile rendition of 'Transformers: Robots Inside Guys'. They also had a habit of going over budget and let's just say an autonomous talking vehicular robot costs a pretty penny; pennies these clean cut carnies didn't have back in 1992. So the ladies and I went up to visit Peggy, but Fat Pat also really wanted to eat a jackalope so we did a two bird one stone trip.
Q: "Tammy what was the best thing about Plonk?"
A: Do I have to pick one y'all!?!? Let's start with the food. I ordered the chicken flat bread, I slobbed all over the corn on the cob, the girls ordered burger after burger cause they was delicious. But the highlight of the meal were these beef skewers that were perfectly prepared, meaty little lollipops is the best way to describe them. Fat Pat was a little disappointed they didn't have fried Jackalope but between you and me that girl would eat her own hand if it had barbecue sauce on it.
Tina, Peggy, Mary Anne, Fat Pat and I were out for one reason and one reason only: we were there to paint the town red and find some beef cakes that brought their brushes ;-)
In other words we were drinkin y'all!!! The cocktails were pristine! Now y'all know me, I like a cold can of Silver Bullet and a shot of Amaretto or I just drink to forget with some room temperature Boones Farm but this place has everything you'd ever want. Their bar looks like a wizard's potion collection and the mixologists at the helm get you where you need to be with their well trained palate and what I can only describe as magic. I was sucking down a variety of manhattans like a millionaire's first wife. The ladies tried some martinis except for Mary Anne, she kept ordering Milk on the rocks. They must have some happy cows in Montana cause she had about eight glasses and then ordered a round for the bar. Turns out Mary Anne is lactose intolerant so we sent her home cause she was about to ruin the back of the Uber.
The atmosphere was so comfortable. It was pretty crowded for a Sunday Funday but everyone had enough room for their own conversations. Well everyone except for Fat Pat (what do y'all feed her? Mini Coopers? Y'all need to stop it!). I was a big fan of the bar and the dining room. I'll leave the bathroom review for Mary Anne though, she has yet to leave it.
Q: "Tammy what would change about Plonk?"
A: Not much y'all, they don't do much wrong over there in Bozeman, Montana. I'll tell you what we had the sweetest little thing serving us, she knew the full menu inside and out and recommended some incredible drinks. She was super accommodating when Fat Pat ordered a Stubbs Barbecue 'Martini' (they didn't make it but they brought Pat her own personal bowl of Barbecue Sauce instead). Nothing against that sweetheart of a waitress, she was an absolute professional but I will say a table of middle aged women in heat wouldn't have minded a Hunky piece of meat fixing and mixing our libations all supper long. Chip & Dales dancer by day, Plonk Adonis by night.
Alright y'all this Plonk Wine and Cocktail place got all five sets of these ladie's thumbs way up. I know that's 9 thumbs y'all but if Pat still had her second one that'd be 10 out of 10! read more
