Taro milk tea. Ordered at the kiosk and came out fast. Nice taro flavor though the paste was super smooth (I prefer chunks, but that's just personal preference). A bit too sweet for my taste and didn't see an option to decrease. Boba was perfectly cooked and chewy. Will give them another go.
Nice place that serves smoothies and other drinks. Was at the Warriors game when the area in Thrive City had an outage, so all the restaurants weren't serving food due to loss of power. Walked up the street and saw Plentea as it was the closest place serving some type of food. Upon entering the seats were taken as people were looking for somewhere to sit with the weather being cold and very windy. There's a kiosk/ipad to place your order and I ordered the popcorn chicken.There was tons of boxes by the seating area, so there really was no room to sit anywhere due to all the boxes out in the area. Nothing special about the service and the chicken was good and did its job.
This location slings the same great tea as their original FiDi one. I've been to both recently and this location has slightly better boba. Was pleasantly surprised by the popcorn chicken. Not overly fried nor too salty. Could skip the croquette, unless they start serving it with some dipping sauce for more flavor. Quick service, especially if you order ahead online. They keep the interior clean. Convenient location if you're around Chase Center or UCSF.

There was "plentea" to be excited about having boba right before the Kylie Minogue concert on my birthday. Thank goodness they exist because this was surprisingly one of the best boba shops here in Mission Bay. First off, I loved that you can choose to have your drink in a glass container or plastic. You could take it home afterwards but had to go next door for a concert. They must realize this so it's no sweat off their backs, but I appreciate the sustainable option to not waste unnecessary plastic cups. I ordered from the kiosk and got an Oolong Milk Tea with Oat Milk (love the non-dairy option, thank you!) with boba, and it was just as expected. A really earthy oolong flavor here and the boba itself was soft and chewy, just how I like it. They offered some snack options but we didn't try any (nor was anything vegan friendly sadly), but the boba itself will keep me happy to return again the next time I'm seeing a show at Chase.

I kept looking at Plentea almost a dozen times before and after visiting Kaiser. Therefore, it's about time I check out the same bubble tea café that once opened at 3rd St of Mission Bay. Since I found bubble tea drinks and its atmosphere mundane, I rather make this short. I came to find out how good the matcha latte with lactose intolerant cow's milk was like. But all I wanted to find out is how long the ice cubes melt on my way to Powell Station; thus, I could easily consume the toppings settled on the bottom of my glass bottle. Service was fine. Still, the selection from the menu such as Japanese rice bowls were limited. Might come back to try matcha on rock from Plentea at the Financial District.
Came here after a Tate McRae concert nearby! I was excited to see that they were open late and still offered the glass drink containers. My besties and I love boba and our drinks didn't disappoint. There was a crowd due to the concert so we waited a little longer and remained patient. Nice location, good drinks, and good hours for late night boba cravings!
There's something about Plentea's sleek, clean glass bottles that never fails to draw me in. But it's not just the visual appeal; the taste and quality also live up to the presentation. We got the house blend black + roast oolong milk teas with boba and they were very solid. The serving size is a pretty good amount as well. Service is fast and there are a few tables if you wanted to lounge a bit.
Ordered the taro milk tea and matcha on rock. I had high hopes for the taro because it was advertised as fresh taro on their menu, and they delivered! The taro was very creamy, and not at all powdery. It was also not too sweet, and very refreshing. Matcha on rock was also quite simple, also not too sweet, but with a very strong matcha taste.
Probably the best Boba in Mission Bay. It's right next to Chase Center. Ambience is very nice and they also sell different types of teas at the shop. Their Oolong has a lot of flavor and the drinks aren't overtly sweet. Sea Salt caramel was a nice touch too. They aren't doing anything super extravagant, just brewing good boba tea!
The best boba is SF! They use real fruit in their fruit teas and the pearls are perfection. I love how you get it in a glass jar, because who needs more microplastics! They also give you 10% off your drink if you bring back your jar!
Sometimes I have moments where I just crave the jasmine green milk tea from Plentea. I can't quite explain it, since I usually am a black milk tea person - but Plentea got me hooked on their jasmine milk tea. It's really nice and creamy and I like the way they cook the pearls, personally. This is one of the few non-alcoholic drink spots that's open later(ish) at night, and I've definitely ducked in many times with friends before a Chase Center concert. There's some sparse tables inside and it's never that full a great for chatting or working. Self-serve kiosk, and the staff is pretty friendly too.

Boba was a bit hard. Mango tea drink was not bad though, and it comes with a glass bottle that you can reuse or bring back for a 10% discount! Line got long after event at Chase Center. read more

We came in at 9:45pm and they were cleaning and told us they were closed (they were supposed to close at 10pm). I get cleaning early but not serving customers until the closing time the store states was just had service. read more

Came here for some afternoon Boba and we were pretty impressed by the tea. All the drinks were not that sweet, which was amazing and you can tell that they use fresh brewed tea. They also come in a glass container that you can reuse the space was clean. read more
Swung by Plentea after watching a Warriors game at Chase Center. Location is definitely great since its just a short walk down from Chase Center. You order by kiosk and there is a good assortment of drinks/snacks here. With this being near a high traffic area, wait times may vary depending on the events happening near by. There isn't really much parking around as well and I would say this shop is mainly here to walk to. Matcha Latte (3.9/5): Matcha flavor was decent but I've definitely had better before. It was also a bit too milky for me. Decent matcha latte and it would satisfy your matcha craving. Jasmine Green Milk Tea (4/5): Jasmine flavor was good but it kind of got overwhelmed by the honey flavor within the boba. The drink was also very sweet at regular sweet, so I would get this less sweet next time. read more
Very convenient to a half block from Chase Center and open until 11pm. Pretty crowded after the Warriors game but managed to snag a table. The line only had 2 parties in it but was moving super slowly. After about 10 minutes we moved up and discovered why. Their kiosk is the worst. My sister and I wanted the drip coffee, which is on their menu board but couldn't find it anywhere on the kiosk. Searched everywhere, but no hot coffee. Finally, I flagged down a worker (most were too busy preparing drinks) who told us even though it's on the menu, they only sell iced coffee. So we had 2 iced coffees, 1 milk coffee and 1 mango smoothie. The drinks were all served in the milk bottle and all tasted good. Personally, I hate kiosks at boba places. Takes way too long to order. I understand the boba shop is trying to save money but seriously degrades the customer experience for me. read more

Pleantea was really close to spark social so some friends and I decided to stop by. When I went there was very little seating inside but was cute and cozy. I decided to order the mango fruit tea with boba and it was roughly 6 bucks. The drink itself was good but not amazing and if you get the glass jar which costs extra you can bring it back for a 10% discount on your next order. All in all it's a solid boba spot worth visiting. read more

Drinks: 8/10 * Thai Tea: Solid, flavorful, and well-balanced--not too sweet, not too bitter. * Boba (Tapioca Pearls): 6/10. A bit too chewy for my taste--I prefer mine more al dente. Probably cooked a little longer than I like, but if you like softer boba, you might love it. Popcorn Chicken: 10/5 (Yes, it's that good) Hands down, the best popcorn chicken I've ever had from a boba shop. Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and seasoned just right. If you're a fan of popcorn chicken, you need to try this. Aesthetic & Experience: 5/5 This shop has such a cool vibe! They give you a free glass bottle with your boba, which is such a unique touch. It makes the experience feel premium, and it's perfect for reusing. Final Thoughts: Would I come back? Absolutely. Even if just for the popcorn chicken and the glass bottle. The drinks are good, but if they tweak the boba texture, it would be perfect. read more
This is just for their Popcorn Chicken, which was VERY DRY. I was craving fried chicken for lunch, and they were literally around the block. So why not, I thought. Not busy. No line. I could get in and out. Well, it was convenient, but that's about it. Pretty much a disappointment. I ended up having to get a drink somewhere else due to the dryness (because why would I throw down more money at a place that already proved to be a disappointment??). Unfortunately, I ended up tossing most of the chicken because eating it was just plain unpleasant. The positives are that the Popcorn Chicken came out piping hot, and the interior is more pleasant than many other boba places. read more
Stopped by here after a Chase Center event. Super convenient location, and it was nice to chill with boba after an exciting basketball game. It was clean inside, and we got to people watch while sipping on our boba. We ordered the Nutella Milk Tea and Taro Milk Tea, and our orders came out fast. The Nutella Milk Tea had great chocolate hazelnut flavor, while the Taro Milk Tea was deliciously thick. They didn't skimp on the taro! Tasty and quick service, would definitely come here again if I'm back in the area. read more

Another location of Plentea located right by the Chase Center! Was in the area and decided to stop by after dinner. Orders are placed at the kiosk. Ordered my usual roasted oolong milk tea in a glass bottle. Sweetness and ice can both be adjusted accordingly. Got my drink within 5 minutes and it was made just the way I like it. read more
I've had Plentea a few years ago and I really enjoyed their milk teas. I was at an event at Chase Center which is nearby this location, and I decided to get some tea and snacks before the event started. The interior of the tea shop is simple and modern. You order on the kiosk and the service was pretty quick. I ordered the mango green tea, unagi rice, and takoyaki. I was a bit disappointed with the mango green tea as it tasted watered down; I couldn't really taste the green tea? So maybe from now I will stick to their milk teas or try other fruit teas. As for the takoyaki, you can't go wrong with it, delicious and hot when it comes out. The unagi rice was yummy too, it was packed with lots of rice which really helped balance out the unagi strong and salty flavor. It came with seaweed salad and ginger too which complimented the dish well. read more

I've been here a few times since they've opened and yo the Mission Bay location is premium compared to the one in Chinatown and Berkeley. It's contemporary and sophisticated with splashes of wood, gold and marble design. Great place to sip and chill. You can order at the counter or tap on the kiosk if you have social anxiety. If you're on a time crunch, order ahead on yelp or uber eats so it'll be ready when you get there. Plentea offers a good selection of milk and fresh fruit tea as well as a matcha series and coffee. Most of the drinks come in glass bottle that you keep. I think a few drinks and their coffees come in plastic or compostable cups. The menu is not overwhelming which is what I like. They have unique flavaflavs such as fresh red dragon fruit, grape, blueberry and real taro milk tea. They're not about the powder or syrup life. If you're not down for tea or coffee, there's a selection of smoothies you can choose from such as red bean, avocado, pineapple and more. If you're feelin' famished they have snacks such as takoyaki and popcorn chicken and curry croquettes. There's also a few curry rice bowls, too! I've had their plentea special milk tea, the matcha plentea and their sea salt green tea so far and they have been delicious. I highly recommend the matcha plentea. It has a decent amount of matcha flavaflav but I like the twist of the crema and oreo crumbs. It really leveled the drink and was unique. And it looks like a plant when they add the mint leaf on top! The boba balls are of good consistency; bouncy and chewy with a hint of honey sweetness. Their glass bottle policy is if you bring the glass back you'll get 10% off your next order. And if you bring 10 bottles back you get a free drink. Make sure they're clean first, lol. When you reuse your glass, make sure you order at the counter so they can honor the discount and mark your glass. The workers are kind and helpful. And I even saw the owner teaching a worker how to properly whisk matcha. Overall, good drinks and reasonably priced. They're located a few minutes from Spark Social and not too far from the Chase Center. There's plenty of seating and places to take photos of your drinks. You can pick up a tea set when you're here, too! read more

plentea in sf was fire, 10/10 recommend. i got the caramel ice milk and my man got the thai ice tea. the thai tea wasn't super sweet but still really good, surprisingly refreshing. the place was super clean and cute inside. i also got the popcorn chicken and it was fire too--crispy and flavorful. definitely coming back! read more

I visited this location in the afternoon during the soft opening. Unfortunately the BOGO deal was not honored. Ordering can be done at a kiosk or the register. I got the dragonfruit tea without boba, hoping for a refreshing, light drink. Real dragonboat fruit and the costco frozen dragonfruit were blended into the drink. The drink is quite bland, as expected since that's what the real fruit tastes like. I appreciated the similarity since it suggested there likely wasn't an excessive amount of syrup added, if any at all. I did not taste any tea, but that wasn't a big deal to me. There is plenty of seating at this location as well, so it could be a nice place to do work, though I am not sure if there's wifi. read more
My friend raved about the popcorn chicken here, so we had to visit when I was in the city recently! I loved it and would definitely visit again in the future :) The inside environment is very clean and refreshing, and it was a great place for us to relax and have conversation together for a while. I imagine you could also come here to get some work done though not sure if there are any outlets by the seats. I opted out of a drink but I love that they provide cute reusable glass bottles that you can bring back for a discount in the future. My friend got the classic house blend black milk tea with boba and she loved it. We also split an order of the popcorn chicken which was DELICIOUS -- the flavor was amazing and each piece of chicken was perfectly breaded and crispy on the outside. There was also plenty of chicken for the two of us to share as an afternoon snack. read more
Visiting a friend in the area and Plentea was luckily a close walk away! The interior is minimal and clean where it gives a relaxed environment. It's a good spot to chill since they have a few tables for seating. For their menu they have the standard range of classic and special drinks. Since I was craving something creamy, I got their Thai tea ($5.95). They have affordable pricing for the area and glass jars were no additional cost! Love that I got to take it home with me. To be sustainable, Plentea offers a 10% discount if you bring back the glass. Service is friendly and quick. Looking forward to my next visit so I can explore more of their signature drinks. read more
