I really wanted to like this place and to support small local business. In my experience I've never had pants hemmed where one leg was shorter than the other, and aside from that have to take them back to correct and wait another week to get them back, along with being questioned if they in fact were the ones who did the work which I found a bit disrespectful as my account would reflect and would be easy to establish. To top this off the cost of the hem at $14 was not the cheapest around but I don't mind spending more for excellence, however in this case it did not hit the mark. Mind you I spent quite a bit for dry cleaning, laundry and tailoring. Anyhow the positive is the guys are nice here, but for me I just have higher expectations, I like my hems straight and properly executed with precision, and most of all pant legs being the same length is a prerequisite. read more

Seriously, the best dry cleaning service, EVER! I took my husbands coat in to get cleaned because of a stain. I took it to three other dry cleaning establishments and they could not remove the stain. Platinum Cleaners were very honest and upfront. They informed me that there could be possible damage done to the coat due to previous mishandling. I cringed. With hesitation I turned the coat over. I forgot my receipt at home. No problem. They were able to locate my item with my number. Awesome! Gotta love advanced technology. Okay, back to the coat. It was spotless! Sweet baby Jesus! Spotless. They also offer an alteration service. The price is slightly higher than the one shop inside the Brea Lofts but I think the professional work is worth the extra money. I've been going to this dry cleaners for years and they have always provided the best quality and service. The owner is extremely nice, but more importantly, he's an expert in this stuff and always knows exactly what he's talking about. He's not one of those guys that just want to take your money; he genuinely cares about helping you with what you need. For the most part, I normally bring in jeans to get hemmed. They have a dressing room there so you can try on your jeans or whatever and they can measure for you. I know the owner is honest because there has been an occasion where I wanted a skirt altered to a shorter length (for a cosplay), and he was very honest with me saying that based on the design of the skirt, it was going to be complicated and the cost of altering that skirt would be high, so he suggested finding another skirt that would be shorter. Recently I brought a dress in that had some nasty stains from sour cream, and when I came back to pick it up, the owner said that there were still some spots left and that he wants to try again (no additional charge of course). So I came back again and the stains were completely gone. I'm super happy and impressed, which is why I'm writing this review.
