I probably spent less than 5 minutes total on both of my visits and got exactly what I was asking for. It was as simple as walking up, tell them what you want, they'll ask for a specified date when you want the request completed, and then you just come back. I spoke to Mike initially about getting the patch removed and he was honest about it potentially leaving a mark where the patch was initially sewn on, which I didn't mind. The turnaround rate for the services was approximately 5 days, though I did say it was a no rush service. Not sure if it would have been more expensive had I not said that. Greenway practices extreme professionalism, courtesy, and fairness. I brought a Mad Decent bomber jacket in to be tailored; Mike (the owner/mgr.) expressed concern that the jacket might be worn too thin in places to be properly prepared, so he declined to accept the jacket for tailoring. I understood his observation: I originally bought the jacket used from an app. He suggested not tailoring or repairing it at all because opening up the jacket would be a big risk. However, Mike said I could bring the jacket in any time for a FREE PRESSING/IRONING if I lucked out & the jacket did end up getting repaired without coming undone etc. I made a mental note of Mike's generous promise/offer. Weeks passed before I got around to getting the jacket tailored & fixed. The jacket did withstand tailoring, so I decided to take Greenway up on the free pressing--assuming anyone there remembered I had been there or what Mike had said. I brought the jacket in; Mike happened to be at the front desk. He seemed to recollect the free pressing offer, & he handed it over to other Greenway staff. They carefully pressed & packaged my jacket while I waited. A pleasant 10-15 min. wait. When the staff completed the pressing of the jacket, the jacket looked good as new. Went in to have one of my favorite shorts fixed on the lining as the original sewing was coming undone. I paid $12 for it which was a good price. Only thing I didn't like was they told me it would take a week. After the week passed I didn't receive a call so I call in to check and the person who assisted my on the phone said they had already been done Less than the week. Now usually this wouldn't bug me since I didn't need the shorts right away but if it's something I need urgently, then I'm not sure if they would call me in time when it's actually done like they didn't before. Quality of their work is fine. I've used them several times before but then stopped going after an incident when they misplaced one of my clothing items and took no responsibility for it. Didn't have any confidence an incident like that wouldn't happen again so decided not to go back. They misplaced my pants and insisted I was mistaken. They said they could and had already checked security footage that shows me deciding to take back an item when I was dropping off clothes. Later when I called to say I couldn't find these pants and they said they had found them. So I drove back there expecting an apology and an explanation. The man started talking about how sometimes they mis-sort clothing and my pants were separated from the rest of my items. No apology. Went in on a Monday evening to try and get some costumes for my church play dry cleaned as well as some of my personal clothing. The man at the counter whom I presume is the owner (receipt says Mike) told me that he could not service my costumes because the material was too delicate and it may bleed which I understood, however, I found it odd since this place claims to be able to clean and preserve wedding gowns, and in retrospect am grateful for the denied service given the subpar quality and job done on my personal clothing that I left there out of convenience and to try this cleaner out since it has so many great reviews. I was told to come back on Friday but didn't realize how early they close so didn't end up going to pick up my clothing until Monday morning and when I got home to put my clothing away, most of it had these odd yellow stains on them. For the price, reviews and amount of time it took to get dry cleaned I expected much better service. Unfortunately for me, this was a complete waste of both my time and money. I should've just taken all of my buisness over to Clockwork cleaners down the street who were able to launder the costumes that Greenway refused to and did a much better job on them. If I could do 10 starts i would. I went to a cleaners off Taft that I will not name but they wanted to charge me almost 70 dollars for a taper and hemmed pair of pants. I almost passed out. Don't be thrown off by "sewing and alterations," because apparently they don't do that. My wife and I showed up with about 10 pairs of her work pants that needed to be hemmed. They were seemingly all about doing it until they realized that she wanted them individually fitted, because they are all different cuts. Then all of a sudden: "oh well you need to be wearing the right shoes." Which my wife said she had on. Then it was "oh well these are kind of bell-bottoms and a different material..." It was clear that they just didn't want to take the time to do it. Hemming pants is the most basic kind of alteration. They had a fitting room. And it was early in the day, and we said the job wasn't a rush. Clearly it just wasn't convenient for them, and he was really bad about making excuses. Small business with a heart and excellent service! I desperately needed to find a last minute cleaner to clean my mom's wedding dress that had champagne stains on it. I was getting married in 3 days and a seamstress I had hired to alter my wedding dress completely ruined it, making it unsalvageable, leaving me dress-less and devastated. My plan B was to borrow my mom's dress my grandmother made and have it altered until we saw the stains were never cleaned from 1984. I googled best cleaners in Orange and went to the first on the highly praised list. I walked into the well-established Kona on Chapman and they basically laughed at me and said they were too busy "sorryyyyy uhh hope something works out for your wedding" I walked out in frustrated tears and mapped the second location that had tied with Kona for best in Orange: Greenway. I walked in and fully explained my request. I needed this nearly 40 year old dress cleaned and to the best of their ability to remove the bulk of the stains because I could shorten the hem and work around it with alterations. I needed it with next day turnaround. In 24 hours or less. The owner considerately looked over the dress and genuinely said he didn't think the stains could fully be taken out, but he could try his absolute best to get most out. He really felt for my recent loss of a dress and talked about his own wedding in the past. He charged me for a wedding dress cleaning with the disclaimer that it wouldn't be perfect and spotless and he would try his hardest, quoted me a late morning pickup next day, he could squeeze it in between other customers orders late at night. The dress was ready at 7am next day and it looked absolutely AMAZING. My family and I were truly shocked and so appreciative. We love supporting small businesses for this reason. I walked in to get pricing on hemming some suit pants and dry cleaning the suit. I was going to leave a pair for for hemming since I was currently trying another tailor for another suit. Unfortunately, even though walk-ins are ok, the tailor is only there twice a week. The day I walked in the tailor wasn't there. I asked about pricing but the gentleman was kind of vague and didn't seem too sure. He then said he could pin my slacks for the tailor and give to them the next day. I used Greenway Cleaners for my suits over the course of about 6 months and they generally did a good job. However, a few months ago, I brought several suits that I needed cleaned and pressed before leaving for trial. I picked up the suits and went home, but as soon as I took them out of the plastic, I saw that there was damage to the pants of one of my suits. There was about a 1 inch hole in the leg of the pants. When I called Greenway, they indicated that their machines could not have caused the damage. However, when I explained that the suits were brand new and I had only removed the tags minutes before bringing them in, they agreed to repair them. I dropped off the pants. When I came to pick up the pants with my order, they were not ready even though they knew I was leaving for trial the next day. I had to buy entirely new pants for trial. When I picked up the pants later, the repair was obvious. The manager offered to repair them again, but informed me--for the first time--that a repair on that type of fabric cannot be done without showing the repair. He offered me nothing for the pants that they damaged, and did not even give me a discount on my dry cleaning order. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.
