I originally just wanted a basic zipper, but when I picked it up, I was genuinely impressed by the work. The zipper was cleanly and expertly hidden, and the craftsmanship was top-notch. Don't go here if you want your service done in a timely matter. On multiple occasions, I have dropped clothes off and given a specific timeline and we have agreed on a specific day for pick up. When I arrived on the agreed-upon date, the clothes were not ready. I had to go back to the store multiple times because I never received any updates and every time I showed up, there would still be a delay. I ended up waiting weeks for a service that was agreed to be completed in a few days. On another occasion, I had a black tie event that I needed a dress altered for. I was flying out and we agreed that I would pick up my dress the day before. The dress had not even been touched when I arrived. I ended up having to take back the dress on tailored And wear a different dress to the occasion. So if you have absolutely all the time in the world, feel free to come here for your tailoring. This is my go-to place for all my tailoring. Been going to her for over a year and have zero complaints. Her place is in a shopping center. It's a small shop but good things come in small packages (no girlfriend of mine has ever said that). Anyway, Maria is very personable and greets you with a smile. She knows her craft and it shows. I've been in for jeans, slacks and jackets/coats, and the work is always done as requested. My only complaint would be that it does take her some time, because she's busy, but it's well worth the wait. Also, she's now hired some help to ease wait times. I'm so sad I didn't find Maria sooner! She can tailor anything! I have a dress from the 70s that I needed to extend on the waist. I didn't think it could be done seamlessly considering the fabric of my dress, but she blended the new fabric into it very nicely. She also hemmed some shorts for me (also vintage and a very different type of fabric), and she hemmed two ranch pants for me. Everything I took to her was tailored to perfection. Oh yelpers... I was really expecting 5 stars from all these raving reviews, but I can't give this experience a rave review. Why? Well, each time I expected my alteration to be ready, my item isn't ready . I dropped off a coat last week, Thursday, was promised the coat on a Monday. I even told her more time would be acceptable since I knew the alteration was complicated. She assured me, Monday afternoon. I skipped going on Monday just in case she needed more time, and late Monday night I get a text message reminding me to pick up my jacket (see photo). So when I arrive at noon on Tuesday, guess what?? she told me it wasn't ready, and she was just working on it. What the heck?? I asked why did she text me if the jacket had not been worked on yet. She did not have an answer except it would be ready tomorrow, Wednesday. Wednesday (today) I show up and guess what? she looks surprised to see me. I'm not sure why but she says she thought I would be back Thursday. By now I'm frustrated. I told her I'm coming back not Thursday but FRIDAY -- and that should be more than enough time for my coat. IF it's not ready, she needs to text or call me. I'm coming back Friday... But right now it's barely a 2 star experience. Will update on Friday (if it's even ready). Opened weekdays 9-7, Saturday 10-5, closed Sunday. Located just south of the 22 freeway off Tustin Avenue, in a nondescript strip mall with a Yum Yum donuts and a Back to Life chiropractic place is this tiny tailoring store. Both the strip mall and the store is so nondescript, you most likely may have driven right by it, and didn't even know. UPDATE: I arrived on Friday at 12:30 PM, and my coat and the pants were ready. The total for altering a lined overcoat ($45) plus 4 hems ($6) was $69 but for my troubles she gave me a 10% discount, which came to $62. I didn't tip. Coat was done very well. I haven't tried the pants, but it seems ok.. No loose threads or off colors. For now, 2 stars still stands because of the mis-promised, and a small 10% off for my troubles. One time error is ok, but making me come back 3x in a week is unacceptable. I may come back to hem some work dresses... And will adjust my review accordingly. read more

This was the worst experience I ever had with a tailor. Brought in a jacket to be shortened and sleeves hemmed. Maria convinced me to hem the bottom instead since it would save time and only have to fix the zipper on the bottom, ready in a week. I show up a week later and she tells me she was busy, come back tomorrow, they open at 7. I got there at 8am, no one. Drive around to do some errands and still see they are closed so got gas. Maria now texts it will be ready at noon, giving me an open window to pick it up since they close at 1pm. I get there in time but notice an issue with the collar. Double checked the original image of the jacket and she took the zipper and ended it at the neck instead of all the way to the top. I call Maria to let her know and she argues with me and tells me to bring proof that it went all the way up. I did and now she tells me it will be another week to order the zipper she messed up. I pick it up and explain issues we had and now she corrects me again about what I asked her to do and I said I only wanted it shortened, but she took out some of the body too. I wasted money, gas, time and honestly even writing this feels like a waste, but hoping it will save someone else the burden. read more

Excellent. I found my new go to tailor. The lady who altered my dress (I didn't get her name, unfortunately) is excellent at what she does. My original go to place used to be OH, but their service and communication has gone downhill since I first started going there and when I got lectured by them for their mistake, enough was enough. They're open on Saturdays and so I figured I would try this new place out because most places close by the time I'm off on weekdays and are also closed on weekends. This place is open until 7 pm weekdays and open on Saturdays (not sure about Sundays). I dropped by and tried my dress on. I mentioned that I wanted to shorten it a bit, but didn't mention anything else. She immediately went to the shoulder straps of the dress and shortened them too, noticing how they were also too long for my petite frame. I know it's probably not a big deal, but I was impressed she caught on before I said anything. She charged me $16 for everything and said it'd be ready on Monday. Price is a factor for me to consider. When I search reviews on Yelp, I try to look for reviews that give me an idea of how much I'll be paying. After trying places that I felt were too pricey for me to afford for all my tailoring needs, I am finally glad to be able to say I found the one I'll be making my permanent pick. Fast forward to Monday, I picked it up and the quality was impeccable. I still can't even tell any work was done. There's no loose threads or weird stitches like OH left on my clothes. Also important to note that she is a very sweet and helpful lady. When I asked for her opinion, she gave it to me honestly. When I called before her business was open and got no answer, I just forgot about it. She actually called me back, which is what got me to try her business out too.
