Had a lovely experience at Song's Alterations! Suzie is so sweet and just the best I had a bridesmaids dress that I needed to alter. 1) It was too long 2) I bought a smaller size cuz that's what was on sale and although I could zip it up, IT WAS SO TIGHT! I could barely breathe I called Suzie while I was in my dress lol and asked her if I could come in to get it altered (around opening 10:30am) on a Monday morning. She asked when I was available and I said I could come right now! I didn't even end up taking the dress off and just drove right over to her. She let me know she would be able to take it out an inch and a half. YAY! Suzie was super nice too. She asked me if I was Filipino (I am!) and I asked her if she was Korean (she is!) We chatted for a bit and she made me laugh. She told me she would move the zipper (which she needed to do to let it out), let it out, and hem the bottom, for a little under $150 (roughly $70 to hem and $40 to let out and another $40 to move the zipper)! She gave me a date that it would be ready by and told me to call before coming just to be confirm she was done. I called ahead, came back and the dress was PERFECT! Suzie did such a great job. The dress fit well and now I had room to dance, eat, and most importantly BREATHE haha Suzie took payment via Zelle (nice and easy). She was so great and easy to work with! If I ever need anything altered in the future, I will definitely come back here! Side note about the business: It's located on the street. There is a small parking lot located directly behind the suites. I believe there is also street parking, but the parking lot is easy to reach since you can get to it by turning on A St or B St. There's a hole in the middle of the buildings from the parking lot so you can access the suites from the lot without having to go around. Our brand new jacket was destroyed at the cuffs when asking for a length reduction. The sleeves remained the same length as before, with half of the cuff of each sleeve completely a mess and uneven. When confronted, the owner lashed back making remarks like "Don't you know how difficult this was to do" and "hmm I shortened it, but I don't know why this cuff is the same length?" And the audacity to have a disgruntled glare as if bringing up the quality of work was unnecessarily nitpicking. $35 was refunded but it really should have been the cost of the jacket. Extremely unfortunate circumstances. Highly discourage coming here unless you want your clothes ruined. read more

I had purchased a dress from Shien to wear to a wedding requiring formal attire. The dress was comically long. I couldn't walk in it even with heels. I did a walk-in to Song's about 2.5 weeks prior to the wedding. I was worried about getting the dress back in time and having it hemmed appropriately, since it was a sequin fabric. Song was super kind and accommodating. The dress was hemmed and completed a few days prior to the wedding. She also took the lower back area in a bit as it was loose and sagging. I felt much more confident and comfortable in it. I ended up on the dance floor for almost 2 hrs at the wedding and never once caught on my dress or tripped. As far as pricing, I found it reasonable and comparable for other skilled alterations in the area. I saw some other reviews complaining it was expensive. I'm sure I could have gone for somewhere cheaper, but I've heard a lot of alterations horror stories. Song is skilled and reliable. I'd rather pay a fair price for good quality service than pay less for less elsewhere. read more

I gave them my bridesmaid dress about 1 month in advance. I called them one day after the date I was supposed to pick it up and they actually forgot about my fixing my dress. They did finished everything that same day and charged me full price still. Their excuse was that they were overbooked on bridesmaid dresses. I only got the bridesmaid dress hemmed and it was $69 including getting it pressed. The stitches were near but the cut was not as clean as I wanted. I thought giving a discount for not having it ready after month would have been more courteous. I also thought $69 was ridiculously high for just hemming the bottom. I didn't get anything else adjusted. Also what bothered me was how they said if I didn't call, they would've forgotten to fix my dress altogether. I'm definitely not coming back here. read more

This place is really messed up. They snag my shirt and told me the shirt is very easy to snag. Also the hem of the pants they did the laziest stitch and I can see the hem from outside of the pants. My dress was originally a crew type neck and I wanted a vneck, she did just that and my train perfect! I highly recommend Susie for any alterations! I am appalled by my experience here. I am a young adult, and I came in with my little sister to get our dresses hemmed for a wedding. The lady there was very nice, however the prices are horrendous. We asked for about an inch hemmed off the bottom of our dresses and a piece of padding added to both. When she told us the total, I nearly fell on the floor. $208. I don't know much about alterations but I know that $208 is an absolute ripoff. I don't want to make assumptions and say that since we looked young and naive that they may have ripped us off, but that is exactly what I think happened. I have never heard of $69 for hemming and $35 for sewing a bit of padding in. Everyone I have talked to as well have told me that I got ripped off. Take my advice, save your money, and do your business elsewhere. read more

My family wouldn't take its alterations to anyone but Suzie. We have always had her take care of our everyday clothing, but most recently she did wonders on our formal wear. Suzie altered our daughter's wedding gown beautifully, having to move the zipper, add cups, trim the hem and also add a bustle. It fits like a glove. My husband has an older tuxedo, and Suzie was able to modernize it with some fine tuning/slimming of the pant legs. She really knows style. The biggest challenge was my brother's tux shirt as he is very short but stocky. She more or less remade the shirt to a custom fit.
