I recently decided to invest in a few high quality, well constructed sportscoats for work. I have a 42 chest and 31 waist, so off the rack jackets will always look bulky on me. I brought a full canvas patterned sportscoat that needed the waist taken in, sleeves shortened, and length shortened. I know that this kind of jacket is usually more difficult to alter, and that does reflect in her pricing. However, the result was very pleasing. I have great confidence in the quality of her work. read more

I think she's fine for simple alterations, but I wouldn't recommend this place for dresses. I brought in my bridesmaid dress to get altered and wasn't fully satisfied with the result. She fixed it a second time after I explained my concerns, but I still didn't like how it turned out. She kept saying "it's fine," so I ended up going to another alterations place. I also had to pay additional money for the second alteration, and overall the cost ended up being more than the price of the bridesmaid dress itself. For the quality of work, I think she charges too much. There's street parking, and if that's full, there's additional parking in the back. read more

I came here for my bridal dress alteration and had a wonderful experience. I contacted Susan on Yelp to request an appointment and brought my dress along. She explained everything very well and offered alternatives to save money. I got the straps taken in and the bust adjusted to be smaller since my dress was a size too large. Her prices are very fair and the turnaround time was 2 weeks. I would definitely recommend Susan to anyone looking for alterations! (Will post photos after my wedding!) read more

I always go here for any alterations needed! Susan is the sweetest person and she's helped me out on several occasions. More recently, she helped me with the ultimate, quickest fix for a strapless dress. I wanted straps on it and she luckily had some back-up straps on hand in the same exact color of my pale green dress! She is so great and I always love coming here for any hemming or alteration needs. :) read more

I'm giving Susan Tailoring & Alterations a well-deserved 5 stars! My wife has been bringing her clothes here for a while now, and I finally had the chance to use her services myself. I brought in a pair of my Marvel Venom shorts that had a hole in the pocket. Susan was incredibly upfront and honest about both the pricing and the turnaround time, which I really appreciated. The repair was perfect, and you can tell she takes pride in her work. Regarding the parking, the lot on the side near the back is quite small, but there is street parking available nearby if you're brave enough to grab a spot. I also noticed some 1-star reviews, but honestly, they seem like they're coming from competitors or people with impossible expectations regarding time constraints. If you want high-quality work done in a timely manner, this is the place to go. Support this small business and get your alterations done here, you won't be disappointed! read more

I started coming to Susan Tailoring & Alterations in 2022 whenever I needed to hem my dress for engagement photos. Recently, I returned to get a bridesmaid dress shortened. Service is incredibly warm and friendly with a quick turnaround! She even helped stitch up my husband's shorts that had a hole in the pocket. Pricing is fair and reasonable, paid about $75. It is evident she is talented in her craft with a big clientele, many customers were popping in and out of her business. I highly recommend if you need assistance in altering your clothes! read more

Susan tailoring and alterations is a great place to get your clothes altered/hemmed! I got my sweater arm length shortened because it was too long for me. She had also altered the width of the sleeve for me as well to make the sleeves fit better on me. She finished in about 2-3 days and she is so sweet and charges a fair price depending on how much work is needed to alter certain clothes. My girlfriend would always get her clothes altered here so I decided to get my sweater altered here as well! I believe she is also doing prom dresses as it is prom season, go check her out! read more

I got 1 long sleeve button up hemmed on the bottom and on both sleeves 1 polo short hemmed on the sides 1 long sleeve shirt hemmed on the bottom Total was 70$. I was charged for both sleeves plus the bottom for the long button line sleeve. Overall I was pleased with the altercations and was really appreciative how it turned out. I was allowed to try on the clothes I brought in to be measured. Will be back for sure ! read more

I had some pants hemmed and some shirts taken in. Good prices and quality work, I will definitely be going back.

Wouldn't even give 1 star Not only did she rip my dress but she kept calling my dress ugly and "impossible" So unless your dress is the classic regular dress don't even bother wasting your time read more

Omg where do I begin? I was about 3-2 weeks out before my wedding and needed to add a bustle and fix the straps on my dress. Nothing too crazy but also not easy. She worked wonders on my dress within ONE WEEK! Crazy!!! It was beautiful and looked amazing! Not to mention it didn't cost an arm and a leg, it was super affordable. Definitely told my soon to be brides to come to her for their needs. She did such high quality work! Thank you so much! read more

I came in to have the halter portion of my wedding dress altered. Susan had helped me previously and was very kind, so this experience was especially disappointing. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day, but her comments while reviewing my dress were rude and hurtful. Weddings are already stressful, and being told I "should donate it" left me in tears. If a dress cannot be fixed, that can be communicated professionally, but belittling something I worked so hard to afford was unnecessary and deeply hurtful. read more

Susan Tailoring & Alterations did an amazing job on my wedding dress. Susan's attention to detail is incredible, and you can truly see the care and craftsmanship she puts into her work. The owner is so sweet and accommodating! I am attending a wedding tomorrow and I just got my dress last night, which turned out to be a few inches too long. I called this morning and explained my situation, and asked if she had any time today to hem my dress. She told me to come on by, and was able to alter my dress the same day. Her services were very reasonably priced, too. I am very pleased with her great customer service and good quality work. I will be returning here for all of my future alterations, and will be recommending this place to all my friends and family. Thank you so much for helping me out on such short notice! read more

I've been going to Susan's for years, she is the best! Recently I took some pants that had been messed up by a different tailor to Susan's and she saved them, tailoring them to fit PERFECTLY. She's the best in the alteration game, will not be going anywhere else from now on! If you need tailoring, stop by it's the best decision you can make! read more

I've been coming here for about 3-4 years. She does excellent work and quick turnaround time. I had a jacket that had sleeves way too long and she took it in, and even adjusted the shoulders so it looked like it was tailored that way. That's bespoke quality workmanship!! Today I had 5 work pants that was too long. It is a simple hem and I had no idea how much it would be. After trying on for a proper fit, she said $25 please. Whoa!! I assumed hems would be $7 or so, and had $40 already to give. It's only $5 a hem?! Amazing... I couldn't do that myself for that price in terms of labor and time. The turnaround time for the 5 pants was 3 business days but I told her that I would get them Friday, giving her 6 business days. She was elated. One more thing: there's parking in the back! It's a lot with 6-8 spaces. All these years I've been parking on the street. Who knew? read more

I've been to this place multiple times now and I can say with a 100% guarantee that she has impeccable work and the fitting of the clothes after her alteration is like a glove. I've given her my traditional Indian clothes as well as western clothes and she has excelled in both. I would highly highly recommend her. Thanks read more

Susan's is my go to for all my hemming AND tapering for my pants. The pants come out perfect every time and the process is super quick, she gets you in and out. I love that she's open past 6pm, so I can pickup after work too. Don't let the location fool you, go here for your alterations, she'll take care of you. I come here every year to patch on a patch for my daughters cheer uniform. We came again this time because Amy is very professional and reliable. This time we came on a Friday I needed the patch on and an alteration. she asked when we needed and I said by the next day. Wow wow wow!!!! Susan did an amazing job. It took me one sentence to tell her what was the problem of my dress and she did all my measurements in 10 minutes! She is so quick with it, I asked to hem my wedding dress, take in the waist and bust. She did an amazing job on everything including the hardest part which was the zipper. It was only 7 days for pickup and price was reasonable as well. I trusted her with my special dress as soon as I walked in and will be taking my clothes to her from now on. Also not to mention she is super friendly and sweet which helped with my nerves considering I went last minute!! Thank you read more

A friend recommended this place to me (which is already a good sign because her recommendations don't come lightly), and I went in to get my bridesmaid dress altered. I was worried because I had waited till the last minute and wasn't sure if id be able to find a place that has both good quality work and a decent price, at such an expedited time. Honestly, all three are hard to find so I was prepared to compromise on one or two things but I was SOO grateful that she took my dress in at such a good price and was able to get it back to me in just a FEW days Today is actually my SECOND time returning within a span of 1 month, because I have another event coming up and due to travels I wasn't able to get this dress ready in advance. But once again she was able to take me in immediately and I can have the dress back in just a few days again. The cost was insanely affordable, I legit don't think there's another tailor like this anywhere!! This is officially. My new go-to tailor. read more

Very consistent tailoring services! Business owner is very sweet and accommodating of special requests and corrections.

I have been getting my clothing tailored at Susan Tailoring for several years. Amy, the owner and tailor, will always be honest with me. She prefers cash payments. read more

I think I found my new tailor. Had a really wonderful experience. Walked in on my lunch hour 2 days before my bad bunny concert. Cute place, Susan greeted me, I let her know I needed a quick pant hem, she led me to a room to try them on ( LADIES: BRING THE HEELS YOU WANT YOUR PANTS HEMMED FOR; it's soooo helpful!) she pinned me here and there and I was in an out in 5min! Still had time to grab lunch on my lunch! I wasn't in a super rush for them so 2 days later to pick them up was both fast and worked perfectly for me. It was $8.00 total ( I gave $10) & the pressure to look perfect was on because I picked them up the day of my concert ! But they came out beautifully, tbh I forgot I even got them hemmed! She gave them to me pressed and clean and perfect, I was really happy and my outfit came out amazing! Love love love! read more
