My trainer recommended to her to take care of my suit for wedding and she did amazing job. price was reasonable and she explained to me what she was going to and the reason why she would do that. For me, she explained to me why she was going to make my pants certain length because she was taking consideration of how much my shoes were going to increase my height, how much she was going to shorten suit's arm length because of the visuals, etc. I didn't feel like I was left in the dark although it was my first time. She is my go to local tailor. I haven't done anything fancy work with her but if need simple hemming done or such this is the place to go. You can try on the clothes there and she look over it and give her suggestions. Prices are great as well. I got two pants hemmed and it only costed $12. Could the quality of the stitching be better? Sure. But I fold my pants anyway and so that's why I go with the cheapest option. If you cleaner stitching then I think she does charge more. But even at the cheapest hemming option the stitching is barely flawed and probably won't have issues with it. read more

Angel Alteration is my go-to tailor in the area. They have street parking out front, and there are two parking lots at both sides of the plaza. I started off with slacks that needed to be taken in with her, and she was able to understand quickly what I wanted. She took around 5 business days for the slacks, and it cost me $25. I paid by cash. She is pricier than some of the others in the area, but I compared her work with some of the others I went to and I liked how seamless the experience was with her and how the slack looked with little guidance. I then went with her for another pair of slacks, a long midi dress, and a wedding dress. The midi dress and slacks has a timeframe of three weeks (including a holiday week). Regarding the wedding dress, I wanted it shorter given that that was the advice a previous seamstress had given me, and her response was that she could, but it would cost a couple of hundred of dollars, and it would look the same in a photo. I was only using the wedding dress for a photo, and she informed me that the dress was so poofy the short amount I would be cutting off would not be worth it. I love honesty when it comes to businesses I support. She also let me know that I should try a little type of heels for the wedding dress so that I could get some support from the front of my feet. I would go to her time and time again even if she is a bit pricier than others in the area. read more

Absolutely the best tailor shop you can find! The lady here really listens to your specific requests, recommends her thoughts in the kindest way, and does her work to perfection. Did I mention she's super nice and happy all the time? lol. Her attention to detail is superb and she does her job to perfection unlike most other shops that will just eyeball/ball-park their work. Let me give you a very clear and vivid example of her skills: The Army Uniform that I purchased for my wedding was 2 sizes larger than my actual measurement (practically unwearable and due to no stock on my size). Since the Angel Alteration was closed due to the owner having gone through surgery, I took it to a highly rated (4.5 start on yelp with 300+ review) tailor shop (other than Angel Alteration) that specialized in military uniforms near my base. They did their best and tailored the uniform but you could still tell that it was noticeably too big on me. I asked them to try again to which they responded that it was impossible to reduce the uniform any further or they would end up ruining the entire thing. I was heavily disappointed because this was the uniform for my wedding and it was within a week! So, I contacted Angel Alteration's owner that same week and luckily, she was back in health to start working again. I went to her shop and explained the situation. She took the measurements and put it on a rush order without question. She told me honestly that it will be a very difficult tasks but that she will do her best within the time given. When I got the uniform back the day before my wedding, it was perfectly tailored! She pulled off what was supposed to be impossible according to military uniform specialists in less than half the time! Angel Alteration is by far the best in skill and customer service! Unless they are closed, there is no other tailoring shop that I would go to and I live up in San Gabriel, CA. Yeah, its worth it that much! read more

Recently I also asked her to sew curtain panels together. She quoted me a price which we agreed upon. When I went to pick them up, she said they were uneven and charged me 6$ more. Really?? They were brand new purchased from target. I also had a torn zipper in my work pant. She quoted me a price and then charged me $4 more. Same for pants hemming. She always tacks on more fees for whatever bogus reason. They can be legitimate but i feel like I'm getting swindled because this happens literally every time I go. I'd go to her in a pinch but I really need to find another honest alterations person. Update: What's really unpleasant is having a store owner call you a liar because they're sorry about your bad experience.. I have no reason to lie. I obviously don't own an alterations business. I'm willing to admit the the curtain thing could be a misunderstanding because I thought I was quoted $46 but when i went to pick up, it was $52. As far as zipper and hemming, I was quoted a lower price at drop off and when I went to pay during pick up, it was more.
