I came to Miss Coco's Alterations to alter my bridesmaid dress that I got off Azazie. I went in wanting just a hem, but after consulting with Coco, she suggested tightening up the shoulder seam so that the bust of my dress didn't sag as much. I had read the reviews before going to her, so I was aware of Coco delivering a day late on alterations. I went in on June 18th to get my dress altered, and Coco told me to come in [[HIGHLIGHT]]on July 2nd to pick up my dress. On July 2nd, I actually called her beforehand to confirm that my dress would be ready. She asked me for my dress color and then said to come by any time before 5pm. My dress was not ready. I drove over, and Coco told me that she was still working on my dress. She also mentioned that the person who usually steams all the finished pieces had already left for the day, so she needed an additional day. I was fine with her needing extra time, but I wish she had said that over the phone before I made the drive. I thought that was inconsiderate, especially since I had already been proactive about calling beforehand to confirm that the dress could be picked up[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Nonetheless, the alterations turned out nicely. The hem of the dress worked beautifully with the heels I chose, and the tightened shoulder seams made the dress fit much nicer. I felt so confident wearing this dress at my friend's wedding. The hem and shoulder seam adjustments totaled $80. I don't have a frame of reference for the average cost of alterations for formal attire, so I can't tell if it was reasonable. Miss Coco did a FANTASTIC and clean job with hemming some new Popflex flared bottom yoga pants I got from a sample sale in LA that same weekend. At a sample sale we wouldn't know what available inseam sizes they'd have in stock so I just got my favorite color purple ones that were available. I'm 5'2" and the inseam lengths were so long so I needed these hemmed. This brand of leggings are very expensive and I usually hem and alter my own stuff as I sew my own cosplay costumes. I don't own a coverstitch machine and I wanted this done professionally and nicely, and Miss Coco did this SO NICELY!! She'd definitely do hems way better than I could with my sewing machine/serger! If I ever need any alterations done and I'd rather have someone I can trust to do it with access to better tools than I have, Miss Coco is now my go-to and she is highly recommended!! This review is way overdue, but I did not forget you Miss Coco! She is amazing to say the least. Miss Coco worked on 2 of the dresses I wore for my wedding. My ceremony dress didn't need much work, just a couple of adjustments. Which other seamstresses were trying to charge me an arm and a leg for. Miss Coco had quoted me a realistic and reasonable price, which is why I decided to go to her. My reception dress was the dress I thought was unsalvageable. I had bought that dress with the intention of losing a couple pounds ( haha silly me! ). Long story short we were a month away and it was just not going to happen! Miss Coco worked her magic, with her many years of experience and great knowledge in design she miraculously made the dress fit me. On the picture, the dress looks a little tight on me, but that's on me for not loosing those extra pounds.
