I needed to get a dress altered as soon as possible since it was delivered 5 days before the wedding I was a bridesmaid for. I reached out via Yelp for availability and received a quick response. Headed over the same day, tried on the dress so she could mark where it needed to get shortened. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The dress was done in 2 days! It was clean and although I was the only customer at the time its spacious inside. I recommend checking this place out for alterations. Miss Coco did a FANTASTIC and clean job with hemming some new Popflex flared bottom yoga pants I got from a sample sale in LA that same weekend. At a sample sale we wouldn't know what available inseam sizes they'd have in stock so I just got my favorite color purple ones that were available. I'm 5'2" and the inseam lengths were so long so I needed these hemmed. This brand of leggings are very expensive and I usually hem and alter my own stuff as I sew my own cosplay costumes. I don't own a coverstitch machine and I wanted this done professionally and nicely, and Miss Coco did this SO NICELY!! She'd definitely do hems way better than I could with my sewing machine/serger! If I ever need any alterations done and I'd rather have someone I can trust to do it with access to better tools than I have, Miss Coco is now my go-to and she is highly recommended!! This is my go to place for all my dress alterations. Miss Coco has altered my wedding dress, bridesmaid dress and any dresses that are simply too long and/or a bit big on me. She's always gotten it done just in time and does a great job where my dress fits me perfectly and the perfect length for my short height. The price is reasonable as well! Usually the price to alter the hem is about 50ish bucks, which isn't bad since she gets it done quick. She's also very kind and tries to connect with her customers without coming on too strong. I dropped off my dress on March 22nd and was promised it would be ready by April 5th. I planned accordingly and made the trip to pick it up on the 8th--only to find out it still wasn't ready. I don't live close by, so this wasted both my time and gas. When I asked if there would be any discount for the inconvenience, I was met with a rude look and a blunt "no," which she later backpedaled into a vague "we'll see when you come pick it up." Miss coco cut it and turned it into an open front shirt jacket. She was heaven sent, and I was one lucky bride as she had done this alteration one week before my wedding. This review is way overdue, but I did not forget you Miss Coco! She is amazing to say the least. Miss Coco worked on 2 of the dresses I wore for my wedding. My ceremony dress didn't need much work, just a couple of adjustments. Which other seamstresses were trying to charge me an arm and a leg for. Miss Coco had quoted me a realistic and reasonable price, which is why I decided to go to her. My reception dress was the dress I thought was unsalvageable. I had bought that dress with the intention of losing a couple pounds ( haha silly me! ). Long story short we were a month away and it was just not going to happen! Miss Coco worked her magic, with her many years of experience and great knowledge in design she miraculously made the dress fit me. On the picture, the dress looks a little tight on me, but that's on me for not loosing those extra pounds. My point is, she made it work when I was already trying to convince myself to be okay that I would not be able to wear that dress at all! To top it all off she added a little flare to it, which I loved! My husband also got all of his alterations for his wedding suit here. I brought my dress to Miss Coco about a week and a half ago; I tried my dress on (it was a little too long) and she knew immediately what to do to fix it. She was very sweet too and made me feel at ease knowing my dress would look great on me once she worked on it. I came back yesterday, tried my dress on, and it fit PERFECTLY. She even made me a scrunchie out of the remaining material taken from the dress to compliment the entire fit (which she didn't have to do but when I saw it, I almost cried because it was a very sweet gesture).
