The pricing was very fair, and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers!! they were friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk to. The location is a little hidden, it's inside a building, up the stairs, and all the way down on the right-hand side--but it's absolutely worth finding. Once you're there, you won't be disappointed. Found a place to fix and repair the poor work of this place. The new tailor said the stitching was very poor and saw the text message of male owner verbally threatening me. It was very frightening and scary. They leave door open with him feet away when you undress. Be careful! He never apologized for threatening me with harmful comments. They offered to fix and repair. Then ignored my calls. They did not keep their word. They received payment in cash for very poor service and work. Communication is horrible and very disappointed. read more

I demonstrated how long they were and they measured the perfect length to my choosing. When I received my sweatpants back it looked as if nothing has been done. That is how good the sewing was! Located in an unassuming place, I'm so happy to have found nino tailoring and alteration! The couple who works here could not be warmer. I was seen promptly and felt very safe with this couple. The husband takes a lot of pride in his wife's work, which is lovely to see. I have a formal dress that needed hemming and came in on a Saturday, and was able to pick up my dress by Wednesday. I bought some dress pants that were a size too large. They were pricey and I was not able to return them. They have been sitting in my closet for a year with no use. I finally decided to have them taken in. I came here and Nino and Tutu were very nice. The pants were a bit tricky because they fit pretty well right out of the wash but by the end of the day they are falling off. When determining how much to take them in, they had just been washed so they looked like they fit well already but Tutu was still able to bring them in the right amount so that they now fit well all day. She even tailored them in a way that they could be let out again so if I ever need to go up a size I still can. Great service and good work on the pants. I will return in the future. read more

I came a week before I had to attend a wedding in Vietnam and the lady doing the alterations were super helpful. This was my first experience with tailoring/alterations in the US. I brought a formal dress and a pair of jeans. The price for altering the dress was probably around $90 and she did a really really good job. It fit beautifully. She was very patient and helped me measure out a lot of things since I don't wear a lot of dresses. For the jeans I only needed the length adjusted so that was much cheaper (around $10-15) and I wanted to keep the original hem. She also made sure she completed my order by a certain date to accommodate my work schedule Tbh I get most of my clothing altered overseas so the pricing is considerably cheaper and usually next-day pick up. But in comparison to other places the pricing is around the same though I cannot speak for the quality of the altered items. read more

I fell in love with this dress but was a little bit too long even after putting on my heels, and fit a little too snug with the zipper, so needed it hemmed and altered to fit my body. I am writing this review because I am extremely disappointed with the service I experienced at Nino Tailor & Alterations. I ordered a custom bridesmaid dress that turned out to be larger than expected, so I searched for a local tailor to alter it. I found Nino on Google, noted their great reviews, and decided to give them a try. I came in on a Thursday afternoon, asking if I could have the bust area taken in. The seamstress said she could take in half an inch on each side, from bust to hip. She had an assistant that day who noted the alterations on my receipt. I mentioned that I could pick it up the following Thursday, but the seamstress suggested coming in on Wednesday instead. She even said she might finish it earlier and would call me. The following Wednesday, I called to inquire if my dress was ready. I spoke to a gentleman (whom I believe is her husband) who told me my dress was not ready yet and to come in the next day (Thursday). I asked what time it would be ready, and he said 2:30 PM. On Thursday, I received a missed call at 1:52 PM from Nino Tailor, stating they had questions about my dress alterations. Unfortunately, the assistant hadn't recorded the specific alterations. I called back and told the gentleman it was supposed to be half an inch on each side from my bust to my hips. I was starting to get frustrated due to the delays. I asked if my dress would be completed, and he said it would be done later in the day if I could pick it up. I explained that I was busy with meetings and couldn't pick it up until 6 PM. He replied that they close at 5 PM but assured me my dress would be ready by 9 AM Friday. My doubts started creeping in, so I asked again, "Are you sure my dress will be ready at 9 AM tomorrow morning?" He reassured me it would be. On Friday morning, I arrived a bit before 9:30 AM, only to find the seamstress still working on my dress. I was extremely frustrated. I told her it was unprofessional to tell me to pick up my dress on a specific day and then delay it without communicating with me. I explained that it would have been more professional to let me know they couldn't finish it on time, allowing me to plan my day better. I had a tight schedule with appointments and meetings because I was flying out of state the next morning and needed my dress for a wedding. The seamstress began making excuses, saying things like, "You don't know; I had a wedding dress to finish because they begged me to help them," "I have to drive from Yorba Linda, and there was so much traffic... I start working at 4 AM," and "You don't know I'm so busy." I was getting annoyed by her excuses and told her I understood she was busy, but this was not how to run a business; she needed to communicate better with her customers. I also mentioned I couldn't wait long because I had an appointment at 10 AM. Honestly, I don't think she understood me, as she continued to ramble on with excuses. I ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes for her to finish my dress, paid her the full amount she quoted ($65), and arrived late to my scheduled appointment. At that point, I couldn't wait any longer, so I settled for what was done. My dress fit a bit better, but the alterations were sloppy due to her rushing. Let's just say I'm bringing my sewing kit with me to reinforce my dress for the wedding. UPDATE: The owner sent me a yelp message calling me "biggest lair" and a "bad person" when I actually have proof of a voicemail transcript from her husband stating, "because the lady she did not write down". "The lady" is the assistant I am referring to in my review. My review was the truth of my experience. Maybe the owner should think about herself before calling someone a bad person and liar. read more
