I was looking for a new tailor. The one I was going to for decades retired. Didn't even want me to try things on to get the measurements where it's been my experience for any alterations and hemming that they would check to make sure the length is correct but she couldn't be bothered and actually did say that it was bothersome. I was actually checking out places for my friend as well. Come to find out other tailors in the area charge less for alterations. A very disappointing experience in terms of customer service.

Like the first time I came here I wanted to crop an oversized button up, she did recommend cropping the sleeves as well, which I can't guarantee other places would let me know about that. All my friends have been going to her and I can't recommend her enough! Her pricing is extremely fair for the quality they deliver and pretty fast turn around time. I recommend to booking an initial appointment to meet with Vi who will give you a run-through of the services they provide for your wedding. We talked over our floral inspiration for our reception decor, as well as trying on wedding dresses that can be bought or rented. They will alter your dress and dry clean it for you before the big day. I probably visited this shop a minimum of 10 times. I had my first dress fitting here. They had so many different dresses. I tried on at least 6 or 7 on my first fitting. I ended up going with one that I knew was the one. The rental price for it was very reasonable which came with the alteration, dry cleaning, and a veil as well. My bridesmaids and flower girl also did their fittings here as well and love the selection of dresses they had. I even got to rent a second dress for our reception so I could be more comfortable. The second dress was basically an evening gown, but the color and design is very modern and complemented most body types. I did not diet or work out for our wedding and the dress looked incredible on me. Since I am only 5'0 tall, most of the dresses had fit my height (with heels) which I am incredibly thankful for. As for the florals, we did very simple florals. Our wedding is dusty blue, cream, and a hint of gold so the Hollywood Bridal team did an amazing job putting together the bouquets, centerpieces, and the split arch for our reception entrance. The bouquets are absolutely stunning. It included the flowers I love and the exact color palette I wanted. Overall great experience with Hollywood Bridal. We appreciate getting our florals and wedding rentals from here. I received so many lovely compliments on my wedding dress as well as bridesmaids dresses. Not to mention, my flower girl was in love with her dress. We couldn't have asked for such a wonderful and memorable night, all thanks to Hollywood Bridal. I liked to support this business, but the guy is one of those who thinks the red zone is a loading zone. If you'll note in my photo, there are empty spaces just across from the business he could use for loading, but he's too lazy to walk a few extra steps. I'm done with this place, and honestly, the vast majority of this shopping center since the folks who run it do nothing to enforce the parking in the red zones. I'll be posting more of these businesses that violate the parking restrictions soon.

Such a clean, well-organized, well-managed shop with patient, talented, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable people. I cannot say enough good things about them. I will not hesitate to take all of my alteration needs to them in the future, or recommend all of my friends and family to them. Kim is amazing! I don't know what I would have done without her. Long story short, she brought my sad, poorly altered dress back to life when I brought it in to her two days before my wedding. I am SO grateful for her and her services. 100% recommend her to anyone! Do not hesitate to bring in your wedding dress, or anything else that you need altered! If you'd like to know the long story: I had previously gotten my dress altered at another place that I found through Yelp, that turned out to be a bit of a nightmare (dirty, cluttered, unorganized, pushy unprofessional seamstress who regularly insulted me and convinced me that what I wanted wasn't "right" for my particular dress, etc). But against my better judgment, I let them complete the work on my dress anyway (and charge me way more than what I had expected to have to pay for alterations on the dress that I thought didn't need much). When I picked it up three days before the wedding, I was NOT happy with it. It did not look the way it was supposed to look, and I did not feel the way I was supposed to feel in it. The requests I had made (that she laughed at and made me feel silly for requesting) unsurprisingly did not get addressed. I told myself it was too late, and I just had to deal with it. When I burst into tears about it to my fiancé that night, he said he would take it in first thing in the morning to the place he takes all of his alterations -- TK Tailoring -- just to see what they could do. I was apprehensive, since it's a difficult dress, there was so little time left to fix it, and I didn't have any budget left to spend on what I assumed would be super costly emergency alterations. THEY WERE AMAZING. I went in as soon as I could that day, around 2:30PM two days before the wedding, and tried the dress on for her. (First impression: beautiful, clean, organized shop! Such a breath of fresh air after the first alteration place I'd been to.) Kim immediately found the issues with the dress that were making it fit poorly and just not look quite right. She was so patient with me and the whole situation. She took the time to sew in various cups for me to try on, one after one, before we found the best ones (so much more natural, subtle, and classy than the insanely padded ones that the first alteration place had insisted on adding despite my complaints). I came in to pick up my dress, with new cups and other more complicated alterations completed, less than 24 hours later. She was incredible. Not once did she complain about the last-minute alterations, and although she COULD have jacked up the price to account for the rushed order, she didn't. It was extremely reasonable, and I was so happy to pay for the beautiful and timely work she had done, as well as for her kindness and eagerness to help me in my desperate situation. I never write reviews, however in this case I cannot resist! First, I am a person who is pretty comfortable around a sewing machine..as a matter of fact I sew A LOT!!! I have been known to do some repairs or simple alterations for one of my kids, friends, etc. But....my knowledge and expertise is definitely limited in this area! With this in mind, my daughter asked me for help in removing the pockets from a jacket she had purchased. They were positioned in a really odd place and looked like it would be a slam dunk! Together we went to work on getting these off the jacket. In doing so we encountered a bit of a problem. (That is putting it mildly)! There are usually bar tacks on the corners of pockets. This one was no different. There's were 4 of these. My daughter and I managed to remove 3! Gave up on the last one because there was no way it was going to come off. However; the removal of 3 did come at a price! It left holes in the jacket! I offered to take it home but was skeptical that I would be able to repair. I was right about that. I practiced with every trick I knew and was sure that all I would do would be to make a bigger mess than we had! I turned to my trusty computer and I let my fingers do the walking. Was not familiar with any Tailoring/Alterations places near my home. When I found a list I began reading the reviews. I found TK Tailoring and Alterations and was amazed at the number and praise that I read on these! I knew there had to be a reason. One does not spend the time to write the reviews that I read if they are not happy customers!!! Hence, the decision to visit this shop! I was able to meet with Kim and discuss my problem. I was a nervous wreck as I did not think anyone could repair this piece. She told me she could fix it. Leaving and feeling that she knows what she is doing, I still had some skepticism. I was told that the jacket would be ready on Mon. I actually got a call much sooner that it was ready! I can tell you I was SHOCKED!! It looks perfect! Cannot see any signs of the holes that were in this jacket! Thank you Miss Kim!!!!! My daughter thanks you also. She was as surprised as I was to see the results! You are truly talented...wish I had been blessed with just some of the ability you have! I appreciate anyone who can turn out this quality of work! You just can't put a price on great quality. They might be pricier than other places but when you need top-notch and reliable quality or just simply want the most bang for your buck for an investment like a suit or jacket, no one comes even close. I saw them on Yelp, read a couple of the reviews and just had to check them out. Their website has a nifty appointment widget, that quickly helped me set up and appointment for a fitting. When I walked in during my appointment, Kim honored it even though she had a couple walk-in customers. The entire process took about 10 minutes. She told me that the jacket would be ready to picked up in 10 days. When I asked her if I could get it earlier since I needed it for a business interview later in the week (I'm quite the procrastinator), she happily said yes. Picked it up the day before my interview and it was perfect. I landed the interview partially due to how dapper I looked (or how dapper I thought I looked). I've been going there ever since. I had ordered a wedding dress online off of David Bridal that I thought was my size but turned out to be way too big. My friend recommended TK Tailoring and Alterations to me. I searched for them Yelp and was impressed with what I saw. My experience? Well, the reviews speak for themselves. My strapless dress was about two sizes too big and had to be taken in at the seam. It has layers of lace, crepe, tulle and a lining in it but she took care of all of it for me! The most important thing was she made me feel comfortable every step of the way. Her calm demeanour alleviated any worries I had about the dress and my wedding day. She made sure to follow through on all my request (no matter how ridiculous) while subtly voicing her advice on how to make it look better on me. Off the charts --- GREAT!!!! I am a man and have been to other tailors in southern California and east coast... TK Tailoring is TOPS ! I had multiple "hard to do" men's alterations to get my newly purchased dress shirts and new suits to fit my athletic build (very big neck, arms, shoulders, chest): change suit slacks from cuffs to stove pipe, suit jacket sleeves needed to be shortened, dress shirts needed to be taken in from waist up through arm sleeve. TK Tailoring didn't even blink when I brought these in for alterations. These are complex, time intensive alterations to get it "right". After TK's work you couldn't even see the difference in stitching! No "tell tale signs" of alteration, other than perfectly fitting men's shirts and suits ! They are magicians at getting things done right! Note, you may have to "wait" a bit on calendar to get your items done. But that is to be expected of an excellent tailoring shop, because they are busy with many customers! read more

A couple of weeks before my daughter's wedding, we bought our dress to a tailoring shop. The manager fitted the dress onto my daughter, putting on the pins. After we left the shop, I saw him throw the dress in the back! When we went there to pick it up, the dress was ruined. I can tell they didn't do what we asked. Afterwards, I went to TK with the ruined dress, hoping they could fix it up. Not only was the service professional, Kim showed respect for us, and carefully fitted my daughter. Learning from experience, I waited in the car a few minutes after we left. Instead of doing what the previous tailor had done, she hanged it up, and placed it onto the rack. When we came back, I wasn't surprised to fine the dress looking beautiful on my daughter. Everything we requested was done amazingly. Kim made my wedding day perfect and money efficient! My bridesmaids and I stopped by TK to get our dress altered. I was worried about the price for pressing the dresses afterwards. My instincts led me to calling several dry cleaners to ask for a free quote, all of them were priced over $100! This was way OVER my budget and I didn't know what to do. I decided to pick up the dresses before settling on a place to press the dresses. To my surprise, the dresses were already pressed and ready to wear! After having a bad experience with my previous tailor, I looked around for another tailor to repair my slacks. I went to TK Tailoring after seeing their good reviews on Yelp. Kim was helpful and courteous, answering any questions I had. I needed it done the next day since I was already behind due to previous tailor. She happily said "Customer is king!" I picked up the slacks up today and they looks great. I needed measurements for my new suit, so I asked her help me. She did so, why the difference between the jacket and shirt sleeve length (1/2" shirt cuff should show when wearing jacket!). I highly recommend this to be everyone's first choice. Do you want to save money during the terrible economy? Then TK is the place to go! My friend recommended me to go to TK to take in my shirts, instead of spending money on buying new shirts to match my new figure. I followed his advice, and gave it to Kim for alterations. I found TK Tailoring online, so I came to get my wedding gown altered. When, I got it back it was perfect. A week before the wedding, my bridesmaids needed immediate alterations on their gowns. I have been getting my clothes fixed and tailored here for a while now and Kim has always been able to fix every single one of my clothes, whether it's patching up some holes in my pants or letting out my suit jackets. Co Kim is the best in the business. She is kind, knowledgeable, highly skilled, understanding, professional, and patient! I needed my wedding dress let out at the seams, and we weren't sure if we'd have enough allowance, but she worked her magic and it came together beautifully! Tk Tailoring is the only place where I would get my clothes tailored. I take all my expensive peices to her because I know they will be done correctly. The price is a little high but fair when compared to the timeliness and quality of her work. All of my office skirts and pants have been tailored perfectly. She was also able to add patches to my sons boyscout clothing. I am pretty happy with the results and highly reccomend this tailor for anyone. read more

I have been getting my clothes altered at TK Tailoring ever since they opened their business. I have no complaints for them! They are absolutely the best. I have gone to other places, and they can't compare to TK in service, speed, and quality! From $50 jeans to $200-300 suits, Kim does an great job making the clothes look like they haven't been altered. I will definitely be back for years to come, TK doesn't disappoint! read more

She did a great job on hemming my wedding dress, but it cost a whopping $80!! It was 3 layers though--the dress, the crinoline, and the layer underneath that. She also pressed it for me as a bonus. Kim was very nice, professional, and prompt, but her store smells so strongly of air freshener that I had to air out my dress at home for several days to get rid of the smell. I booked a consultation to hem and bustle my wedding dress with Dorie. When I arrived she had me…read moreput the dress on, then immediately began pinning it to hem and bustle with no conversation about what I wanted or what it would cost. When they finished pinning, they asked me to dress and then we finally discussed price. I was quoted $800 and was asked to prepay in full, in cash or check. This was not mentioned before the appointment at all. When I said I was not ready to pay today, she showed me other clients' pre-paid invoices to encourage me and let me know that this is what she asks of everyone. I ended up leaving my dress with her and had to set a time to come back and drop off the cash. I talked with my mom about what happened on my way home from the appointment, as I felt a bit uneasy about what had just happened and she agreed with me. So, I contacted Dorie to tell her I'd like to come pickup my dress to get other quotes for the alterations. I stated I could come at our already scheduled time or sooner. What followed was several days of pushback, with messages about how many brides come back to her, screenshots of 5-star reviews, offers of a discount (which was not mentioned before) a "sleep on it, relax" message, and a follow-up offering to split payment in half (which I asked about and had been told that was not an option, it was prepay only). I picked up my dress without incident, there was another bride there so Dorie's husband helped me get my gown back into the garment bag. I thought that was that but received another review screenshot two days later, at which point I blocked her number. Too much of a hard sell for me. I've since found another seamstress who did a full consultation with me discussing price and options to figure out what I liked best, and making sure I did want to go forward with her services, before putting a single pin in my gown. This is what I was expecting to have happen with Dorie based on all the great reviews but that was not my experience.

I had a one-of-a-kind jersey that I wanted turned into a dress because it was huge. I showed the man a video of exactly what I wanted him to do with this jersey and how to turn it into a dress. All he had to do was cut the sleeves off so up the side and then reattach the sleeve. When I came in to pick it up, the sleeves were not cut, they're two different sizes, the neckline wasn't cut to size and I looked like the background dancers in the goofy movie with the broad shoulders. There's so much bunching in the top since I have smaller breast and I pointed that out on Monday and he just kept repeating "I cut where I pin" anyone can do that. So since he was only going to cut what he pins, which was not our initial discussion, I took the time to explain. Show him the video again. I made it a point to make sure that he was going to be able to do this the way that I wanted before dropping it off because I would've spent more time looking for places that were capable of following instructions. Thankfully, I recorded our conversation and reported it to the Better Business Bureau. They just kept repeating the same sentence over and over again to the point where I started yelling over them and they started calling me crazy because I didn't want them to "fix anything" and I wanted a refund. Still have a destroyed unwearable jersey and no refund.
