I cannot give this alterations location enough kudos! If I could give more than five stars, I would! I was in a bit of a pickle as I was hoping to re-create a childhood outfit for my 35th birthday, themed "come as you 'wore' in the 90s", and had no sewing abilities beyond a small stitch. When Rose replied to my inquiry on Yelp, she said to come in so she could take a look. All I had was a photo, the material, and two weeks time, with the hope she could replicate the exact dress pictured. She did just that, without fail! Couldn't have been happier with the results, Rose has a forever client in me! read more

I was recommended to get alterations at Sun Rose by my sister! I had my bridal gown and 2nd dress altered here and let me start by saying that this was one of the most pleasant experiences I've had with alterations. They really are experienced here and ask the right questions in terms of what you like and want. They take the time to analyze your body shape/figure and make alterations based off of what would suit you best. They are honest and sweet in telling you what works and doesn't work. They brought my vision to life and are very detailed in their work! I highly recommend their services. They are flexible with appointments and have been kind to me over changing my appointments. I would recommend getting your bridal gown altered at least 2 months in advance because there will be multiple try on appointments. read more

I had such a wonderful experience at Sun Rose Alterations and felt compelled to share. Rose is truly a perfectionist and genuinely cares about her clients. Even though she has a business to run, you can tell that her customers always come first. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel welcome and took the time to make sure everything was just right. Her attention to detail and dedication to her work really stood out. It's rare to meet someone who puts so much heart into what they do. I'm sharing this because she made a very positive impact on my visit. Thank you for your warm heart, Rose! I love Rose . She is accommodating , quick and good quality work . She is reasonable .

If you are looking for an affordable seamstress you can trust, you should make an appointment with Rose! I purchased a 'plain' wedding dress with a vision to add lace, so I needed more than just alterations. Rose did AN AMAZING job. My wedding dress was the #1 complimented thing at my wedding. I have Rose to thank for that!! She made my wedding dress vision come to life. We even had a tiny emergency a week before my wedding: I originally picked up my "final" dress, but after I took it home and started looking at the pictures, I realized the back wasn't quite right. So, I called Rose and she fixed it without hesitation. She also altered my mom's dress, who looked stunning in her gown! Rose gained a couple loyal customers over here. read more

I have been here on 3 separate occasions and she never disappoints! I'm on the short side and usually need to hem my dresses. She is always very quick with turn around time (3 days in my experience). To helm a dress it's usually $35-40 so amazing value! She also added/modified the straps to one of my favorites dresses so I can wear it more comfortably. I highly recommend coming here! read more

Rose did a nice job on my evening dress. The dress had a chiffon overlay on the skirt and it was him beautifully along with the under skirt. Her pricing seemed reasonable and she had it done within a week. She seems to have a large clientele. read more

Super nice lady and fair prices. Been a regular since it's close to home. Would highly recommend

ROSE IS MY GIRL!!! She helped alter my wedding dress to PERFECTION. I bought a dress at a bridal boutique and wanted to add some customizations. Rose ended up: hemming my dress, bustling my dress, altering the neckline, creating off the shoulders sleeves, and adding a slit to my skirt. Even with all those alterations, Rose was the most reasonably priced! I had been to a few other tailors and a handful told me they weren't able to convert my dress into a strapless dress. Rose however was able to! She was the best! It was very clear from the get go that Rose is incredibly experienced with wedding dresses. Throughout every visit, Rose always had such a huge pile of wedding dresses. She always seemed to know exactly what she was doing. AND she was always incredibly timely as well! Rose is the sweetest lady that is very humble and hardworking. A few things to keep in mind: I made about 4 trips to Sun Rose throughout my time. First time I came for a quote, the second time she actually took measurements of me in my dress and began altering (she ended up needing to cut off a little bit more off the bottom), the third visit was to finalize the fit (it was perfect), and the last time I just picked it up after they steamed my dress for me. Don't forget to have your wedding shoes already picked out and be sure to bring them to the fittings. Rose also gave me a quote on a post-it note during my first visit and honored the price (plus threw in a little discount). Another special thing to remember is that you can get an additional ~10% off if you pay in cash. Overall, Rose was amazing and I highly recommend her! I will post photos of what my dress looked like originally vs what it looked like after alterations with Rose. read more

Please note they can ask for payment in advance. Very busy place as they know what they are doing. Taking one star off for saying something would be ready and in the end it wasn't. Not a big deal but not good when you're driving 25 miles expecting something at noon only to be told to come back at 5. Otherwise the work was well done and reasonably priced. read more

I had the absolute BEST experience at Sun Rose Alterations in Huntington Beach and would highly recommend them to any bride needing wedding dress alterations! I had lost a lot of weight due to health issues between purchasing my wedding dress and my wedding day so I was a bit apprehensive towards the amount of work that needed to go into my dress. I originally went to a recommended seamstress (TK Tailoring and Alterations) but found the pricing to be quite high and felt dismissed by my health issues that cause me to rapidly loose weight. On a discouraged whim, I stopped by Sun Rose Alterations, and I am SO glad I did! They quoted me about half the price for absolutely stunning work. Additionally, the owner Rose made me feel comfortable even if I didn't know how much weight I would loose before the big day! Sun Rose specializes in wedding dresses, and their attention to detail was incredible. Over three sessions, they: Took in the sides (I had lost quite a bit of weight due to health issues) Shortened the front hem Added a hidden loop to my train instead of a bustle Changed the insert cups Touched up the beading Everything was done beautifully, and the entire process was smooth and stress-free. My dress fit like a dream on my wedding day, and I am beyond grateful! If you're looking for expert craftsmanship at a fair price, look no further than Sun Rose Alterations! Would absolutely recommend them to any bride-to-be! read more

I had been looking for an alteration place to have my mother-of-the-groom dress altered and hemmed. I needed the right place to trust with my dress. After reading such positive and helpful reviews on Yelp, I gave it a go. I called and made an appointment with Rose and my dress and I set off. The minute I walked out of the dressing room, Rose knew exactly what needed to be done. She pinned, and pinned the hem. I trusted her with my dress, paid the extremely reasonable fee and was told it would be ready in a week. I went back the following week to pick up my dress, again trying it on, and it was absolutely perfect. She took great care with the dress, fit it to me perfectly and her fees are more than reasonable. Rose was friendly, helpful and is so knowledgeable. I would trust her with any garment, especially formal dresses for special occasions. I will always take my clothes to Rose and am thrilled to have found her through all the other yelpers who wrote reviews. read more

If you have little time and need someone skill, professional and also a fair price? Look no further. Sunny's shop does all kind or alterations but she personally specializes in weddings dresses. I waited till one month before my wedding to fix my dress thinking anyone could do it and that it was easy to fix, little did I know it was quite a project. My dress had seven layers of lace, was way too long and big, I also wanted sleeves and the sheer panels at the chest area to be cover for church. I was turned down by other tailors. I was ready to panicked when I found Sunny, she is so confident in her skills and made me feel at ease and comfortable. She even scheduled two fittings to assure my dress fit perfectly. At my wedding I truly felt like a princess with my dress on and everyone complimented my dress the day of my wedding. THANK YOU SO MUCH SUNNY! read more

I was referred to Sun Rose by my bridal shop, and I'm so glad I found her. I first brought in my wedding dress to have a bustle added, and it was immediately clear that she has a wealth of experience with alterations. Having grown up with a family member who always handled our tailoring, I was initially hesitant to trust someone new with such an important dress--but Sun Rose exceeded my expectations. She did an incredible job, so I returned twice more for additional alterations to my dress and veil. She does get quite busy, so I recommend calling ahead before going to pick up your items. read more

I came to Sun Rose Alterations to have a dress altered. My fiancée and I were planning our wedding. This is our 2nd marriage for each of us. I picked up my gown and it looks pretty damn stunning and elegant if I say so myself! But if you're a bride, that's what you want, right?!?! Sun Rose Alterations did an amazing job! The cost of the alterations were appropriate in my opinion. But the tailor was just absolutely sweet & did an amazing job! Highly recommend them for your tailoring needs! read more
