Fist time coming to this place was referred by Macys across the street. I came at 5:50 to drop off one pair of pants and they had closed the door on me then told me their closed but clear said they close at 6. They asked if I was picking up or dropping off and I said I was only dropping off one pants and they said no come tomorrow... I live far in corona and I'm bummed that they told me that when I could jut have came back the next day just to get them... either way the lady could have told me in a nice way... so here's ya go read more

I've been going to Make it Fit for many years, mostly for hemming dresses, and they've generally done a good job at a reasonable price. Last week, I brought in two dresses for hemming. They were the same style and size, just in different colors--navy and tan. However, the tan dress fit looser around the sides. I asked if it could be taken in to match the fit of the navy one. The tailor pinned it and assured me she would adjust both the fit and the length to match the navy dress. After trying the tan dress on at home, I noticed it was still too loose on the sides and the length didn't match the navy dress as promised. I returned to explain the issue and asked if it could be taken in a bit more. To my surprise, Juliana raised her voice and told me the dress was made incorrectly and couldn't be fixed. I was shocked by her reaction. When I explained that I wasn't criticizing her work but simply asking for a better fit, she insisted it couldn't be done because of the pocket. I left the store in disbelief, especially given how unprofessional and rude she was in front of other customers. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won't be returning. It's disappointing to be treated this way after being a loyal customer for years. read more

Make it fit was recommended to me and they definitely deliver on quality of service and speed. I've gotten my husband's pants and suit jackets tailored here and the owner definitely knows what she's doing. I'm not sure what the going price is for tailoring but it seems absolutely reasonable considering the speed of service and the lack of stress definitely recommend but come early as she she's always busy.! read more

I've been going here for years and usually they do great work. They don't overcharge and get the work done fairly quickly. I would say 8 times out of 10 you will be satisfied. I recently got a dress hemmed for a wedding, and it was still way too long. I couldn't get it changed before the wedding because I didn't have enough time, but knowing from the past, I'm sure they would have helped me with taking more off. I've been to this place for alterations many, many times! It takes that ONE time that will keep me from coming back and TODAY was that day. I picked up my daughter's homecoming dress and came home to find stains all along the front of it! When I called to ask what happened, the lady on the phone (who has always been so trustworthy) lost all my trust by lying and saying it was there when my daughter tried it on before the alterations! When I returned to address an uneven hemline, she tried blaming the original brand and refused to fix the issue, even though she admitted, "I see what you mean." She deliberately chose not to help. I had two pairs of work pants hemmed last year, but the hems came undone a few months after. Additionally, the hem on a pair of jeans was uneven. The prices are also quite high and not justified. I have come to this place for years and have given tens and tens of clothing pieces. Not once has anyone been rude or unprofessional. My clothes have been altered to perfection. Anyone who complains about the owner's "rudeness", perhaps should scrutinize his or her behavior and attitude. Owners and employees are not prisoners to take abuse from customers. They are human beings. Treat them with respect and they will treat you back with respect. Their prices are high? I don't think so and if prices are higher than years before, just compare with all prices that have gone high. They have to make a living and pay for employees, lease, products, etc. So stop trashing a good, honest and professional business. read more

My daughter brought a dress to be altered The lady reprimanded her because it was a lined dress for a wedding. She proceeded to call my daughter irresponsible and made a scene, embarrassed my daughter. My daughter left crying and humiliated. She is having her marriage blessed in the church. The dress was long and white but very simple and plain with no beading She just needed it hemmed and a modesty stitch in the front. I understand if she was too busy to do the dress so why not just say that? Do you feel good that you humiliated and embarrassed her to tears? Shame on you. Make It Fit no longer keeps a dressmaker on staff, so they really only handle simple alterations like hems and minor alterations. The prices don't correspond to "simple alterations." You are required to prepay. They do a good job and they are pleasant. They have limited staff, so there was a little wait, but everywhere you go post-pandemic, is understaffed and overpriced. read more

They were supposed to do a better job than my cleaners because they actually measure. I left 3 dresses to be shortened so I could wear them. Now that it's the end of summer I won't be able to wear them because they are sun dresses. They were NOT done correctly and they didn't want to hear it. The lady kept talking over me so I couldn't say a thing. The hems are still ON THE FLOOR when I put them on. Money wasted!! Diane's Tailor Shop who was highly recommended is finally doing these dress' hems correctly. It will have cost me more than the actual dresses! $68+$42+the next tailor's charges. I used to love this place but over the past year the customer service is awful and now I won't be returning or recommending them. The staff has a consistent negative attitude and enjoys turning people away. The first time I was turned away, because they wouldn't alter pillowcases for me. Their justification was they only alter clothing. Today I went in to drop off a couple items and they had their doors locked and shunned me away at the door. They advertise that they are open until 4pm how we when I arrived at 3:50 they were already locked up and refusing service. Very unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. Another patron was turned away too. He said they also refused to see buttons on a western shirt for him last time. Very pick behavior on their part! read more

I requested 7 items to be hemmed, mainly all to be shortened and all I can say is their work is precise, clean and extremely professional. They offer a pleather of services from ballgowns to lounge pants. Pricing was extremely affordable, I paid about 10 dollars per item. Some of my items were double lined with material as well. Went in at 5:30pm (30 minutes before closing) and the doors were locked. There were 3 people inside waiting for the seamstress at the counter. The seamstress yelled at me through the locked glass doors that she is closed because she has a line. You are a small business with a line and you turn people away with 30 minutes until closing. I went in on a Friday for an alteration fit for my dress and it was ready by Monday! The service was super easy and fast. When you arrive, they'll have you try on your clothing item in one of the dressing rooms, they'll mark your clothing where it should be trimmed or altered, and then you pay at the desk and come back in a few days when your clothing item is ready. I can always count on Make It Fit to alter my clothing to fit me perfectly. I'm on the short side and have issues with different brands fitting me differently. So alterations are always in my books. This is not your average tailor shop! The staff at Make It Fit are extremely knowledgeable in their field - I'm so glad I found this place 10 years ago, and will absolutely keep coming back. They've helped me with everything from hemming bridesmaids dresses to fixing holes in pockets and old coats, patching up denim, and whatever else I've managed to save from my closet. The new location is conveniently right next to Target so there's plenty of parking, and hey, you can do all your errands at once!
