The employees were nice, but the place is very small, cramped, and the process of work left a lot to be desired. The work was fast, but fast doesn't mean good. The hem is uneven, bubbled, and very obvious. The price was fine for the work, but I expected a better job done. They also barely took the time to pin the pants and barely marked the length before saying it was good to go. read more

Diane's Tailor Shop - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Placentia, California

Diane's Diane's you're the tailor for me For all you doubters, please come and see Their prices are reasonably priced All their work will suffice And it helps that they're all very nice So, for sure, they'll be my tailor for life. I like this small mom and pop tailor shop. They're quick, fast, and reasonably priced. Had to get my pant waist enlarged (because I got fat), and that cost me just $15. I had a suit modified (a lot) and that came out to about $175 I think. It cost a lot because I had the whole suit tailored. Small story, I forgot my apple watch in the pocket of the suit, and later, I found it in the pocket, so they're an honest shop, which I love. read more

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very small and very productive. I took in a dress with a hole in the front bodice. I didn't expect perfection. I just wanted to be able to wear my favorite dress again. And they did it. You can hardly see where there was a hole. I'm so grateful. And it was very reasonably priced. And done when they promised. I would definitely go to them again! read more

The staff were very nice and they got things done quickly. Small shop and efficient. Had my suit pants altered and was happy with the result. I saw a lot of dresses there as well read more

I had two formal dresses (both around $2,000 each) that needed to be completely rebuilt to fit me, and Diane's Tailoring absolutely exceeded every expectation. From the first fitting through the final pickup, the entire team was incredibly patient, thoughtful, and precise. These weren't simple alterations the dresses required major reconstruction and the craftsmanship was exceptional at every step. The attention to detail, the way they shaped and tailored each piece, and the care they put into getting the fit exactly right was truly impressive. After multiple fittings, both dresses are now beyond perfect. They fit beautifully and feel completely custom. I can't say enough good things about this team. If you have something important, valuable, or complex that needs tailoring, this is the place to trust. read more

Customer Service! Each time I've come to drop something off there are several customers waiting. No matter how busy, the service is great. Service is prompt and the quality of service is excellent. read more

Ladies were very kind, but the place was absolutely slammed and a bit chaotic...the shop is very small. I think there is a suit shop next door that kept sending their customers over and jumping in front of the line with absolutely no regard for those of us that were waiting. Additionally...while I was waiting, a gal came in to pick up a bunch of the clothes that needed to be worked on and she left with them. I think I would prefer to go with a shop that does it in-house, but we'll see what happens. I know they have a great reputation....but so far my thoughts are very mixed....not sure I will return. read more

Great work, very quick and reasonably priced. Would use for all my clothing repairs and alterations.

I got a full length dress delivered and didn't get a chance to try it on. It was way too long. I took it to Diane's Tailor because it's close to home. They measured it up and in a few short days my dress looked perfect! read more

I ripped a hole in my favorite pair of Lululemons. If you know the brand, you know they are expensive. I was bummed. Decided to see if I could get them repaired. I chose Diane's based on the reviews and the fact that the shop is only a mile away from my home. I was not disappointed. They gave me a date that they would be ready, and when I came in, I was happy to see that they were ready and I was pleased with the repair. Based on my experience, I recommend Diane's tailor shop. read more

Diane's Tailor Shop - The lighting is deceptive, as these Lululemons are black, but you can hardly notice the repair areas. I'm very pleased. - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Placentia, California

The lady at the front was so rude when I went to pick up my pants. I had handed the gentleman my ticket to find my order and asked if I was all set, not sure if I had paid or not. He said yes and I turned toward the door. The lady at the reception area shouted at me that I hadn't paid. She had not even acknowledged me when I walked in the door. I immediately stopped and returned to pay handing her my card. She then repeated that I had not yet paid multiple times and that they only accepted cash. This wasn't an issue as I wasn't claiming I paid, nor did I push back when the said they only accepted cash, or say anything that would warrant her response. I handed her cash and she didn't even say thank you. Needless to say I will not be returning. read more

Professional and kind. She did a wonderful job on my formal evening gown. I will go back for any tailoring needs.

After posting on my local buzz page that I needed to find a new alterations pro, I got tons of referrals to this tiny shop. All the employees were attentive and friendly. I just needed a pair of pants hemmed and belt loops on another pair of pants reinforced. Total price was $18 which I thought was reasonable. If I was being super picky, my complaint would be that it's pretty dark inside & cramped...but I'll definitely be coming back. FYI- the sign for Diane's Tailor Shop was switched with the manicure/pedicure place next door read more

Excellent work and service. They took in an entire dress, which was not an easy task. I've also gone in for some basic hemming. Very reasonable prices. Friendly staff. read more

Went there last minute and they were able to help me! Very small shop but they get it done! Great prices as well.

We came in a few minutes early and Diane greeted us with a huge, friendly smile. I had never used this place before but did need a new suit altered for my kid. So we looked around at different reviews of other places in the area and chose Diane's Tailor Shop. When we arrived, the exterior of the shopping center was under construction and getting nice looking upgrades. This, alone, is tough on businesses. So I'm glad we came in anyway. Diane is patient, knowledgeable and caring. She gets the job done and listens to the clients for sure. Thanks, Diane! read more

An amazing find for alterations. Small in size but very large in expert alterations. Very professional and great service.

Friendly, quality service. Prices have gone up but so has everything else, I still wouln't go any place else.

Went into Diane's shop to ask about hemming a plain dress a few inches and was quoted $65! That's almost what the dress was worth. Sadly, above average pricing and takes too long (a week wait for a simple fix). read more

Compare to other places, the price is high and the turnaround time is slow. It's worth to mention that the owner lady likes to yell at customers! read more

The best! Amazing work. Unique - reliable - relatable. Diane & her team have a full time customer in me. 2 different occasions she has gotten what needs to be done on very short notice at more than reasonable cost. read more

Gotta say this place is a GEM!!! Love finding places like this! I heard about this shop from the Placentia Buzz and thought id give it a try. From the second I walked in they were courteous, friendly and professional. I just needed my jeans hemmed. I didn't even ask how much it would be, and didn't expect any rush on the service. Within minutes of walking in, I was measured, billed $7 (great deal) and told it'll be ready by the next day. I was surprised at the great cost and speed. All without even asking for it. Just got my jeans back and they look great. Will definitely be back for all of our families tailoring needs! read more

I have been coming here for years and she is ALWAYS kind, so hardworking and her attention to detail is immaculate!!! She has done my nice dresses, ripped bags, long skirts and leather pants. Pretty much everything and never disappointed. & The only little thing she asks of you is to keep your ticket, or take a picture of it- as she gets SO many clients. It really helps her find your item so it doesn't get lost and easy for me to do. Support small!!! read more

I came in to get two pairs of jeans hemmed and I essentially left with one of the pairs looking and feeling extremely awkward. As shown in the pictures, one of the legs is awkwardly cut and sewn back together making the seem run down the front of my leg. This makes them extremely uncomfortable and unwearable. After noticing this I went back in the next day hoping for a fix or refund only to be told numerous times that it's normal and unavoidable yet my other pair of pants were perfectly fine. I tried understanding why the other pair of pants and one of the legs on this pair was done fine but Diane repeated said it was unavoidable and normal. I'm not a sewing expert but I would have handled the situation better by explaining exactly how it's unavoidable or simply stating a mistake was made. I essentially paid $22 to lose a pair of jeans. The other pair of pants were fine. Just disappointed with losing a pair of jeans. Won't be coming back again. read more
