I used to like Happy Alteration and received great service at a reasonable price. Granted, I haven't been there for several years, and I wasn't aware until now that they have new ownership. I took in five pairs of dress pants I'd bought from Men's Wearhouse to Happy Alteration because I wasn't happy with the tailoring done at MW in the past. Big mistake. When I took the pants in, they were right off the hanger or off the shelf, and most of them only needed the waist taken in. The guy tells me it'll be $30 for each pair, which I think is a bit steep, but if they do a great job, fine. So, I picked up the pants, which were on hangers with plastic wrap, and take them home. They fit fine, but they were wrinkled as hell. For $30 each, you can't iron them out? Now I have to take them to a cleaner for pressing. I guess this guy saw me coming, but he damn well never will again. read more

This place is a gem! I was looking for a place that did original hem at a reasonable price. After my first pair of jeans I got done here; I have taken all my pants to get hemmed! Anytime I need an alteration done, this is the place. They do an excellent job, for a very reasonable price! The service is always the best. Thank you! read more

formal bk long dress with swivel slit to one side of the hem. They detached the swivel part so it flopped all around. why??? glad I checked the dress the morning of the event and had a travel sewing kit. had to reattach the loose part back to the hem. While doing this I saw how sloppy the hem was done. Clumps of thread, skipped hem line and crooked cut. Too expensive for crap job read more

Very disappointed took a jumpsuit in to have a zipper replaced cost $40 and it looks like it was sewn by an eight year-old. I'm not a seamstress but at least I can sew straight lines. read more

Love Happy Alternation! I had brought in 2 bikinis i needed tailored and they did sooo good!!! I was shocked at how well the alternations turned out because ive never heard of getting bathing suits getting altered especially since the bikinis i brought in were pretty skimpy but they did an amazinggg job. So good that in planning to bring in all the clothes I have that dont fit me right! read more

Recently moved to the area and was looking for a Tailor/alterations shop for a few simple tasks. Pleasant, efficient, timely, everything done on time and at a reasonable price. Will definitely revisit. I had used another Tailor shop further away in the recent past, but they have raised their price is a good 50% above everybody else. I guess their business must be good. I am glad I am no longer there. I am glad I am here at Happy Alteration. read more

I come here to get my alterations for my work uniform and he does amazing work! I always get so many compliments on the fit of my uniform. I love feeling more confident at work. Thank you! 10/10 read more

It's a very small shop in the back of a shopping center on La Palma and Imperial next to the FedEx store. I had 2 sweaters altered and it was done in a week. His rates are very reasonable and very nicely done. If I had one criticism is that he or someone smokes in the back and the garments smelled to cigarettes smoke. Otherwise, I was very satisfied it the work and would definitely be back read more

Excellent tailoring With detail on formal items as well as day wear Have had many items tailored All to satisfaction

Great service, great work and great pricing! If you're looking for tailor, this is the spot for you!

I'm writing this review. Because I drop off my dress and I decided I didn't want to get alter. So I call him the next day. And he refused to give me back my money!!! What company does that??? Never taking anything there. And no where does it say no refund after you pay!!!! Very unhappy customer! read more

I called for a last minute alteration, and this business was reliable and fair priced. Easy to work with and helpful. Thank you!

I love coming here knowing I'd get exactly what I paid for! They are extremely talented with tailoring my suits without question. They inform how they will edit my pants or jacket and make it look like it never happened. Amazing work from Tina read more

It's tough to find a good alterations/tailor, and I wish I had found this place sooner! Usually, I went to this other tailor by my gym, but it appears he retired. So far, I've gotten 2 jeans hemmed (original hem) and the sleeves shortened for 3 casual jackets. There is only one guy who works here, and he's both friendly and professional. His stitching is quality work as it's even for both legs/sleeves, and he asks you for a week before it's ready. Also, I saw a sign in the front that says one can ask "repair alterations" (e.g. if you ended up needing your pants/sleeved shortened more) up to 1 week after items are picked up Original hem = $20 for pants Jacket sleeves = $25 Pricing was a little higher than I was used to before COVID-19, but hey, everyone's gotta make a living. I'll definitely be bringing more items here read more

Hello! On my last few visits here, they have really over-charged me for example on alertations for taking-in the arms and waist on tops and a blazer. I do not understand how a retailer can sell a blazer for $20 while an alteration costs $50 at Happy Alteration. Is there a severe thread shortage for tailors or are they taking advantage of us? While I was in the dressing room, I heard a woman expressing the same concern to the gentleman here. It's frustrating because I have been bringing my clothing here often for the past two years. Looks like I will be taking my business to a different tailor now. They don't appreciate me as a repeat, loyal customer. read more

Hemming of Prom dress was perfect - thank you! Quality workmanship and reasonable timeframe for pick up.

We've brought several items for tailoring to Happy Alterations and all of them have been perfect when we've picked them up. Some of the items were complicated and the tailor knew exactly what to do. Everything we've brought in has been done when he said they would be. read more

****Free Delivery and Pick Up!**** I was very pleased to see a newer alteration shop open up with very reasonable prices. I have several items that need very specific and detailed work done. I am very pleased with the knowledge David and his wife have, their work and their hospitality. I am most pleased with the prices! I paid $17 for something I had done elsewhere in the past for $25. They also do minor work like hemming pants for 5 bucks. I am Happy and I am a Fan! read more

Happy Alteration - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Anaheim, California

I needed to get my Mother of the Groom and rehearsal dinner dress altered for my son's wedding. Happy Alteration was great! Both dresses came out beautifully, but a few days before the wedding realized I lost a few stress lbs and needed the sleeves taken in a bit to be comfortable for the big day. It was only 4 days before the wedding and I wasn't sure they could turn around the dress in time. The owner exceeded my expectations and said he could have my dress ready in 2 days without charge! The dress was ready as promised, but didn't feel right not paying him something as it was not his error that I requested the additional alteration. I will continue to use Happy Alteration in the future. On a side note, he also altered my son's pants for his wedding and they looked great! Thank you, Happy Alteration! read more

I have been coming here for the past 10 years. Tina and her husband have done a great job on every kind of clothes from formal to a wedding gown, and that have alwa. I recommend them highly. read more

I am off and on coming to Happy Alteration for my alteration needs for over a decade. I've used other tailors in AH out of convenience for an item need to be tailored or fit, but the other tailors never have given me satisfaction as Happy Alteration. They listen and always give me perfect solutions, too. A little out of my way (I have 4 other places closer to my house) but, I'm happily bring all my clothes need to be altered here. read more

I've taken several dresses here within the last month and I have to say this place does a great job. It's a very nice family owned business. The turn over time is quite fast and the prices are reasonable. The quality of work is professional and honestly my clothing looks brand new. I highly recommend Happy Alterations when you need pants hemmed or even patches sewn on. Great place!!! read more

This place is so wonderful! I bought a sample Casablanca wedding dress to save some money but it was about 4" too small for me and I couldn't zip it up. They first tried to let out some fabric in between the seams but that only gave them 2". That type of alteration would've been about $100 but it's still a little tricky since I had beading that went around the sides on the dress. I'm actually glad I ended up with the second option- which was a corset back. With this option, it ended up costing $120 and it could've been tricky if I went with someone else since the beading in the back was also intricate l. I love it! I can adjust the corset back however I want and it totally sucks me in all the right places! Will definitely be coming back here! They totally listened and gave suggestions without pressuring me too much. I saw few other wedding dresses here as well so they seem pretty good at altering wedding dresses. I'm sure if I took this dress to a wedding dress boutique to get altered, it probably would've cost upwards of $500. Btw- it's about $40/bustle. read more

I've been getting alterations done on my suits for years. I've been to more places than I can count. Some good, some bad, and a lot of uglies! I went to Happy Alterations and I didn't have much expectations, as I was just looking for something simple done to the new suits I had purchased. Well... I was in for a surprise, when the gentleman helping me started suggesting what would actually look better. So I figured it'll end up costing me an arm and a leg. NOPE! His prices were fair. And his work is worth more! When I tried on my freshly altered suits, I think I shed a tear (insert Denzel Washington meme). Even though I don't live close by this place, I will drive cross country to have Happy Alterations take my money! read more

Quick turnaround, reasonable price, really professional and most importantly, clean work!

I used Happy Alterations for the first time due to my daughter's upcoming wedding to alter a dress and dry cleaning . I was so pleased with the owner Jade as she was so attentive and friendly! Definitely will be going back!! Thanks Jade! read more

I can finally give Happy Alterations a 5 star grade! I had to wait to get my suit back so I have something to actually grade. Tina was super nice and very thorough when making her adjustments. I brought my new, un tailored suit in because it was very big on me. It was a $700 suit and I got it for $135 so I couldn't pass it up! I took my chances. When I returned to get my suit, I tried it on for the second time. Only this time my suit fit very well!!! I couldn't believe it was the same suit that I was nearly swimming in a week before! Tina also made some more recommendations that I will do later when I have more time and I can bring it back. I wish I had a photo of what my suit looked like before Tina fixed it for me. The difference is amazing! I would highly recommend any of my friends to Happy Alterations! read more

Needed to get my wedding dress taken in and only had 10 days to get it done. Read great reviews for Happy Alteration, so I brought the dress down here on a Monday. The man who helped me was very nice and efficient. It took maybe 15 minutes for me to try on the dress and him to pin the dress up where it was too big. He told me to come back on Thursday. Thursday I arrived after work, he knew who I was and brought my dress right out for me. I put it on, it was perfect! In and out in less than 10 minutes. I wanted it dry cleaned, so he told me he would have it ready by Monday. Monday I walked in and saw my dress waiting for me, he brought it over, I paid. No hassles here! Total cost was $40 for the alteration and $20 for dry cleaning. Super happy I found a place that did exactly what I wanted and got it done in 8 days. If I ever need alterations or dry cleaning, I will be coming back to Happy Alteration for sure! read more

We selected Happy Alteration after reviewing Yelp reviews. We dropped off pants for my son's homecoming dance and they needed a lot of alteration for the fit my son wanted. David at Happy Alteration provided excellent customer service at drop-off and the turn-around time was great. My son was extremely happy with the fit upon pick-up and said it was exactly what he wanted. We will definitely use Happy Alteration for any alteration needs. read more

I have been bringing my suits to Happy Alteration for several years and it is about time I give them the kudos they deserve. I am very picky with everything and they have been spot on every time. Suits fit perfect. I brought my son's pants there after another tailor pinned them and they nailed it. He was impressed. Price is fair and I believe you get what you pay for. Need alterations, stop on in and get it done right the first time! read more

My dress came in the day before prom. It only fit nicely on my hips, so the waist and bust areas were a bit bigger and the length of the dress was longer. I called earlier in the day to tell them that I was stopping by. I ended up coming 10 minutes before closing and it wasn't the same person I spoke with on the phone. I can genuinely say that this is one of the best services. He quickly pinned the dress to fit me and made sure I was comfortable. There wasn't any measuring done, which could've taken more time. I told him that I needed it the next day at 2pm and it was! I came at 2 on the dot and it was already done! It fit perfectly and would definitely recommend their services. read more

The best tailor in Anaheim hills/Yorba Linda area. He knows the current suit styles and perfectly altered my Ted Baker slacks.

I have taken several outfits to get alterations done including my daughter's prom dress. My daughter being 4.11 and thin has always had a hard time finding the perfect dress that fits. She found one she was so excited about and I bought it hoping that Happy Alteration can make it perfect for her. And they did! She was very happy as I was. Recently I found myself needing an "emergency" alteration on a dress I walked in about 10am and took the chance to see if they can have it ready on that same say by 2. Tina was the best! She herself said I can get it done by 2. Tina and her husband are the best. I completely trust them and I'm very satisfied with the services they provide. Highly recommend. read more

Came across this cute place simply out of convenience in location, and so happy I did!!!! I came in with a bathing suit I wanted altered, half expecting them to not be able to do what I was looking for, but I was wrong! I spoke with (I think she is the owner) and explained I wanted a few inches off the bottom and to make the top a cross- back. She knew exactly what I wanted. She had me put the swimsuit on to get a perfect fit and was very professional about the whole fitting. She was able to do my alterations in 2 days and accommodate to how soon I needed them and everything was such a reasonable price. I honestly could not be more satisfied and will definitely be returning!! read more

This is definitely not a one time stop and you will need to give directions over and over again. The pictures came out great with the dress. I just had to visit the spot multiple times in order for him to get the right alternations. Not to mention it was kinda a hassle because he really didn't want to adjust my dress how I wanted him too because I was pregnant. He kept telling me what I should do and instead of giving me what I wanted for my photo shoot. I had to visit his location 3 times, 2 times for alterations. Just to get it right. Being 8 3/4 months pregnant that made it very hard and it made me extremely late to my shoot. (Covid problems I had to have it super late in pregnancy) just research a few alternatives before you settle here. Unless you have time to come back a few times to get what you want. read more
