I went here once for a hem only and it was fine and affordable. I went here recently for my bridesmaids dress for my brothers wedding and this was a huge mistake. first, I went to pick it up the day AFTER they said it'd be ready and it wasn't. no phone call to inform of any delay. i was told to to come back the following day which I did and it still wasn't ready. when days later I picked it up, no one greeted me. I just waited there for 10 minutes as they kept sewing and didn't acknowledge my existence. then, they didn't have a room available for me to try the dress on there so I had to just leave with it. when I tried it on, i noticed small damages in the satin, in about 10 different areas, and the fit was entirely destroyed. It dug into my armpits SO painfully and the breast cups sat ABOVE the breast area & it now had large gapes im that section as well. I couldn't wear it more than a few minutes without my arms being in considerable pain and my arms are quite tiny, so tough to make them not fit. What was once beautiful dress just looked so I'll fitted now. with the wedding less than a week away, I now have to emergency take it elsewhere because (1) they took so long (2) they destroyed my dress and I don't think I trust them to fix it at all, much less on time. I'm hoping it's fixable and not too expensive - but Im sure it'll cost more to fix than I spent initially. read more

Would not recommend. They will close before their posted open hours without notice and then your items will not be ready by the guaranteed time. I had to take something to get altered and it was a total of 6 trips there which is ridiculous. It should've been the two, the drop off and the pick up (my items were supposed to be ready by Friday, I came Friday and they weren't. They said they would be ready first thing Saturday. I came back at 12pm on Saturday and they still weren't ready. I came back a third time for pick up took the items home to realize they royally messed up on a dress and I had to go back and they had to fix it. 6 times! Ine was because they closed before their normal business hours ended). Unless you have unlimited amount of free time, I would recommend going somewhere else. read more

The owner is so sweet and service is fast, we've used her for pant hems and it's been fine, but when our daughter was in a wedding and needed her dress altered she completely ruined it, and somehow made the fit worse. She made the armpits too tight and the bust area too loose instead of altering it appropriately. Now with one day beforehand we need to decide to spend more money to fix it or just let her be uncomfortable for a few hours. I wish we never got it altered. We noticed the top issues when she tried it on at pick up and the owner said she would fix it. We just tried it on again and it's even worse. So the thought of going back risking it being even worse is stressful, but we deserve to get what we paid for. read more

I came in to this shop on a Thursday afternoon to get my jeans waist altered and the pant legs hemmed. i was able to venmo her because she doesn't take card or apple pay. It's a cute little shop there's a lot of clothes but im sure it seemed organized in her head. The quality of service wasn't the greatest, she was busy talking to her friend while looking annoyed about what i was asking when i tried the jeans on showing her what i wanted she kinda just decided what i wanted but for the price n im assuming her experience i just assumed she knew what she was doing and paid her and trusted it. She told me she can have my jeans ready by Saturday morning. I show up Saturday morning before i have work, (quick errand since i already paid) She was in the middle of working so i waited a few and she finally got up to see what i needed, i showed her my ticket and she LOST my jeans. Looked around her shop for 15 minutes and on top of that was being rude to me, at this point i'm frustrated because i needed them for work the next morning, they are an expensive pair and i already paid her ! which means she didn't even work on them. The cherry on top was her not compensating me for anything. I had to leave for work because i was expecting to be there that long. I sent in my boyfriend while i went to work to either have her find my jeans or return my money back. He waited 40 minutes and she finally found them in some random pile inside out. He told her he is going to wait here until she is done with the jeans because she told us they would be ready that day and she was already paid. She was trying to suggest for him to come back another day. Took her about another 30 minutes from what he told me to get my jeans done. Which she means she could've done them within the two day period no problem. And he left. Seems like to me she has regulars that come in and she puts them first. Honestly this is just a review to save people time and I didn't want to rate too low as I can't grade her on her work. I brought my wedding dress in to get alterations. Pandemic weight and genetic given anatomy required the bust to be altered. This is one of 2 recommended people by the owner of the shop that sold me my dress. I'm not sure whose fault it is BUT... I came and told her what I needed done: "I need my bust adjusted and a bustle" She looked at me and told me no. "I should have bought a dress that fit me in the bust area. I should go to a wedding shop. It is outside of her expertise to do it". Of note, She never saw the dress in person or measured me. This assessment is solely based on my words and a picture of me in said dress So... for you brides that are looking to make alternations outside than maybe a hem or taking a simple dress in... look elsewhere. Even 1 star would be too generous for this business. I'm really not sure how this place stays open. First time I used them for my alteration needs, it was not done in promised time. There was no explanation or apology, she asked for me to wait so she can finish. The person waiting behind me also got told the same thing- the items are not ready and to come back, again no explanation. I gave this place another shot- and again it was not finished at promised time so I had to come back to pick up. Stupid of me, but I used them the third time and this things got even worse. The clothes were supposed to be to be ready by Saturday, I gave them extra 3 days- show up and my clothes are missing. She spent 30 mins searching everywhere for my items. I ended up finding them crumpled, shoved in on the bottom of a random box piled on by other fabrics. She had no idea how it ended up there. No explanation or apology- she asked if I can come back in the morning since they haven't even been started. So I show up the next morning and STILL NOT READY!!! It's unbelievable. You get what you pay for, this place is slightly cheaper than other surrounding alterations but quality work is also not there. Service is garbage and no organization at all. Such a shame because so close to my house but I will drive a few more blocks down to avoid this mess of a place. Do yourselves a favor and avoid at all cost, not worth your time or trouble. Drivers a few more blocks and find another one, trust me! read more

The repair was done well but I won't return for future business. Business hours are not worker friendly- they open after most people work and close very early on weekdays. I got off of work early to get my garment and they had closed an hour earlier than the posted hours. I picked up on a Saturday and learned cards are not accepted; she wanted venmo. No problem; I sent the $ in front of her and showed her the transfer. For some reason she didn't get it right away so we both stood around awkwardly waiting. Very strange payment situation. I had an amazing experience at Anna's Alterations. I found out about them from a coworker who gave who said she really liked her results. My back story is that I had bought a wedding dress when I first got engaged 3 years ago knowing that we weren't going to get married for a few years. I fell in love with it so it was a must buy. Since the day I ordered it and the day I brought it in for alterations I lost 25 pounds, so needless to say a lot needed to be done. I also was super last minute with it and brought it in 3 weeks before my wedding. It turned out beautiful! Since it was an Aline 50's style dress I worried about the shape of the dress, but it was perfect. The owner had me come in for one fitting to make more alterations and then a final fitting a day before. They said they had to take 3 inches off the first time and 2 more the second. They also treated me very well! I felt really comfortable with them every step of the way. I will definitely be coming back for future alterations and will be recommending them to everyone. read more

I bought a prom dress that I was absolutely in love with, however it was too long for me even wearing 3 inch heels. (The dress is made for people who are 5'11" but with heels on, my height was 5'7") I searched many alteration places in the area and no one was willing to make my dress shorter WITHOUT changing its original style. (The bottom of my dress had lace embroidering as well as being a mermaid/trumpet cut) I tried this last store on my list, and she was willing to help me make my dress shorter so I can walk without tripping on excess fabric!! She helped me cut off 3 inches on fabric making my dress look the same without having to change its style. In all, she relieved all my dress headache and I had a great night at prom!
