Anna was very personable and friendly. She made me feel comfortable about the entire process. The bridal shop ordered my dress about 2 sizes too small. The dress was so tight around the waist that it began to ripple the fabric. (So not cute). Anna was able to fix this problem by working her magic. My dress not only fit me to a tee, but was comfortable as well. Anna also did extensive work on my friend's wedding dress for a reasonable price. Both Pants came with raw ends so i quickly needed to find someone who would be able to hem my pants prior to starting my job. She made my prom dress perfect! It was a difficult task; another alterations place asked for $20 to just add another button on to the back of my dress to hopefully make it fit me better and she told me to put my hair down so that the button won't be visible (which I thought was a horrible idea). But ana took the time to take off every jewel and sequin sewed on, cut the sides, and redid all of it for $25. My favorite place! read more

Do not take your stuff here. She's cheap because you get what you pay for. The work looks like a kid did it. I had her replace a zipper for me on a skirt and it was uneven and her work was horrible. I also had requested she replace buttons on a vintage coat and she sewed the buttons through the lining when she had access to secure the buttons without going through it. She gives you your clothes back in a wrinkled pile and then tells you the total. She only accepts cash and checks....So unprofessional. read more

Took 2 pants to get hemmed. After 1 week the hem came off on both legs. Then on the 2nd pair the same thing started to happen not to mention they cut my jeans way to short, almost unable to use it. I heard good things about this place so I took a skirt and pair of pants here to get hemmed. The pants weren't ready when I was told to pick them up and the skirt was done horribly. When I asked her if there was anything else that can be done cause it didn't look right she started yelling at me telling me she "told me she was gonna do it by hand" I proceeded to tell her I'm not sure what that means but can we try something else and she said NO and yelling at me. When I tried to communicate with her to figure a compromise, she told me to get out of her store and never come back. I never once yelled or spoke to her disrespectfully and never have had this problem before. I was so upset! So I took it to "Make it fit" In Brea and they did a GREAT job! read more

I took 6 pairs of pants in to be shortened I was promised that they would be ready on Wednesday. After I got off work I drove straight over there to pick up my pants only to find a hand written note on the door saying that they are closed with I phone number. I called the phone number several times however know one answered and that had not set up their voice mail. I arrived at 4:30pm the sign on the door says they are open till 7pm I absolutely had to this pants on Wednesday these were my maternity pants that I needed back for the Thanksgiving holiday! So I had to go buy a new pair of pants and pay extra from them to be shortened the same day! I left a note through the door stating how upset I was and that they needed to call me back. They never called me back!! So I go to pick up my pants and I told her how upset I was. That you can't just decide to close early and not notify your customers so they can come pick up their items. I asked her what was she going to do to make this situation better and she said nothing. So I then told her I will be reporting her "business" to the Better Business Bureau, the city and all of my friends and family Facebook, ect. You would think Anna the owner would have wanted to make the situation better and not get bad reviews about her so called "business"!! But apparently not! read more

Anna has the best price for pant hemming in North OC. The service is excellent too. Anna closed for a while but now they are back in business and I heard she is doing better. DO NOT GO HERE! So I went here due to the high reviews on yelp to get my jeans hemmed. The lady was really nice and I had a good experience. I decided to go back since my first experience was good but what a mistake! I wanted to shorten my sleeves on my kimono cardigan and she asked me if I wanted to narrow the opening since the higher up you go the wider the sleeves will get. I said I'm not sure but I think I do not need to narrow the opening. I left and came back an hr later after debating over the sleeves and asked for her opinion if I should narrow the opening or just leave it. She said it's up to me to decide and I said I don't know if it will be ok and wanted her opinion. She said it will be more money since it is more work and I said I don't mind paying more it's not about money. She then told me why don't I just take it and do it myself at home! Um obviously I can't so that's why I brought it in. She kept thinking it was about money when I was just asking for her opinion. My absolute favorite alterations place of all time! I'm 5'1" and need to get all of my clothes altered (hem pants and dresses, take in sides of blazers, etc.). The first time I went I took an Guess by Marciano maxi dress for a trial run and they hemmed it to perfection! Amazing pricing and decent turn around time if you don't need it right away (although I'm sure they'd accommodate rush orders as any alterations place does). I used to love this place and go there for all/any alteration/hem but it's been closed for 2 months now - there a sign on the door saying something about a "family emergency" and lists a hospital phone number. Absolutely the worst service ever. She is capable of doing quick sewing jobs to grab $5 but there is no quality of work what so ever. If you ask her to do something more detailed so not to ruin expensive cloths, willing to pay extra, she rudely tells you go elsewhere we only do it this way! Unreal! I have been in the apparel business for more than 25 year. They are very charming nice little place. But the quality of their work is very poor, and lacks the standards of true tailoring. Like many of us we make an investment in our clothing, and expect a standard level of quality to come from a tailor which they are not. I would not recommend Anna's alteration. Only used their services for hemming pants, scrub bottoms, and a maxi dress. There is a small, curtained changing area if you need her to pin exactly where you want the clothing to end. Good prices, decent turnaround. Haven't tried anything more complicated like a suit yet. read more

This is a great place to get your alterations done. Anna is friendly and fast. We had a few pairs pants shortened and a fully lined silk dress shortened from the shoulder straps. I have used Anna for the past two years or so with no complaints. If she can't alter something complicated like my Robert Graham jacket, then she will say so. She also does beautiful machined embroidery work. The building address is strange as they are not ON Brea Blvd, but actually on Alder. Also, the woman next door to Ana's gets real pissed if you park in front of her school and will tell you to move your car. Just leave it there, she does not own the street. I asked to try them on for her and she said ok, but went back to watching TV. After I tried them on she told me taking pants in costs a lot (30 dollars) and for that money just go buy new pants. This place is so great. They do such an awesome job for extremely reasonable prices. The first time we brought clothes here, my boyfriend needed a suit tailored in less than a week. We were expecting it to be extra for having it rushed, but not at all.. no extra charge, and was very affordable. We've been bringing clothes here ever since. I came back to pick up the dresses and return the pants that she mistakenly took the hem out of and did not resew. The pants needed the waist taken in. The owner here is extremely arrogant and rude. She ruined my black formal dress. I could tell she was too busy watching TV instead of focusing on her work. She did an alternation on an elegant formal dress and was supposed to hem it but she hadn't even measured it and appeared as though she had just cut zig zags. The dress is totally ruined, and she was not even willing to refund my money or replace the dress.
