She recently lost a favorite jacket of mine then ruined my brand new $2,800 Hermes scarf after I specifically asked her to take care of the cashmere. She said "wasn't it already like this?" as if i was making it up. She refuses to accept responsibility, never said sorry, never made an attempt to compensate me, and tried to blame the manufacturer. I live in this neighborhood and it was fun by Julie who was great!! It's under new management with Ellie who is absolutely wonderful. I bring in so many article of clothing that I buy online for alterations and her sewing skills are phenomenal. I won't take my clothes anywhere else. She has tucked, raised, lowered, redid and completely changed my clothes to my vision. She has even made my jackets bigger by giving me a larger liner. Her eye for alterations and how it suits your body is incomparable. I just dropped of 7 dresses for alterations because I'm so short I need too. Go to Dryclean express you won't be disappointed. Been coming here for almost 5 years. Since the new management change, we have been very unhappy. Last time my husband went to pick up his clothes the owner tried to give him a shirt that belonged to someone else. She didn't offer a solution to finding his shirt either. After a disagreement, my husband left. The owner called to say that she found his shirt and he could come and get it. My husband confirmed that she would not be charging him for the shirt and instead of answering she hung up. He went to pick up his shirt a few days later and she told him she would no longer be servicing his clothes. Her mistake, yet she is turning away business. Need to update this review. Ruined my favorite Citizens of Humanity pants by pressing it and saying it's a standard procedure, then flat out lying and saying that they didn't press it. Pictures speak for themselves. Tag says "do not iron" and "dry clean only." Clearly someone did something wrong and doesn't want to admit it. They also told me to give them the Nordstrom's receipt so they can go exchange the pants for me. Integrity out the window!! Not my kind of business. I filed a complaint with the business bureau, not sure if it'll do much though. The owner lady proceeded to yell at/argue with me and didn't apologize or admit fault, let alone offer a solution. I'm disgusted by the way they treat their customers. If you have a favorite article of clothing that cannot be replaced, please do not take it here. read more

This is my first post and I usually stay quiet, even when I think that I've been wronged, but my experience with this dry cleaning place took me over the edge. I've been coming to this dry cleaning place for about a year and a half and have been satisfied for the service. However, there was an incident which completely changed my mind about the owner. I gave 4 pairs of shirts and pants on Saturday and picked them up on Tuesday afternoon. However, when I picked up one pair of the pants, one side of the pants was ripped off. Now, out of the three days, the owner waits until the very end to tell me that what I gave them was a defective pair of pants. If you see the picture, you can tell that it's not just a minor cut; it's a significant portion of the pants ripped off. Of course, the owner says her business is not responsible, saying that there's just no way there could be a machinery and process that can tear a piece of clothing in a dry cleaning. So, she offers a couple of theories that could've happened on my end: -It must've been a dog that did it: We don't own a dog. And the cut is not something that a dog can rip off, despite how strong it is. -We must've cut OUR own pants with OUR own scissors: (She really said that). And just to make sure that it's really not my fault, that maybe the pants got caught on the hanger and I could've ripped it (although unlikely without hearing ripping noise), I looked for the ripped piece in my closet and my room. And of course, nothing came up. I did mention this fact to the owner but she just shrugs off saying, she couldn't find the missing piece here either. Instead, she points out that when I gave her the clothes, I miscounted the number of clothing, as a sign that I could have given her a ripped off pants. We also asked, why didn't you say anything until this moment? Her response: we take in hundreds of clothing a day and we just count when you give us your clothes. And she expects me to believe that she can keep track of a piece of ripped off clothing somewhere in the business. The owner seemed like a nice person until this incident, where she offered some really outlandish explanations and just putting the blame on me. Funny thing is the pants are not that expensive and had she apologized or at least showed different response than "someone must've cut it with a scissor" I would have let it go, since I've been coming here for more than a year and would have given 4/5 on Yelp. But she really escalated the situation and would not back down. This is probably a freak accident and probably did not happen to the owner before. Just remember though, if you give her an expensive piece of clothing and something like this happen or whatever else, I wouldn't expect her to give you any sort of reasonable response, both in words and actions. read more

Ellie is the best! I've taken my clothes there to get dry cleaned and also altered. Each time I go there she always leaves my clothes perfect and exactly how I want them. She pays great attention to detail when she is altering or hemming my clothes. She listens to what you want and will even add helpful suggestions if need be. Her prices are the best in town! Trust me I'm always heavily researching prices and hers beat everyone around by far. I even got married at a farm in October. I had a long train and there was quite a bit of dirt I was walking on all day. Hate to say it but my dress was really dirty and had sticks and twigs stuck all over the train and inside the dress. I called other places that were charging me close to $400 dollars to clean it. She saw my dress and gave me the best deal! Even less than half of what other people quoted me. When I picked up my dress it looked bright white again! I was amazed at how well she made it look as good as new. She even persevered it in a nice box for me. I brought in a very expensive cal king bed comforter to be cleaned, I asked her to her face "CAN YOU CLEAN THIS" she says yes I can, she never said she out sourced bed comforters . The company she sent it to put my $550.00 comforter in a commercial washing machine with detergent soap then put it in a freaking dryer...OMFG they ruined by comforter and all she did was offer me $20.00 we will NEVER go back there and do not recommend anyone else go there either... read more

I have been going here for a very long time and was extremely disappointed with Julie this time. I purchased six sets of curtains that needed to be shortened by 2 inches. Not a hard task, right? I measured every single curtain myself so I wouldn't give Julie the wrong instructions. Well, I got my curtains back and they were shortened by 6 inches!!! Did I not speak English???!!! Plus, when I hung them up in my windows, every single set was crooked!! I had to take all my curtains down. I brought them back to Julie and she had nothing but excuses. She actually blamed me for not giving her clear instructions!!!!! Seriously??!! Julie has lost me forever as a customer. I ended up taking them to another place to get them done right. Too bad. We have been bringing our dry cleaning here for many years. Julie is always very friendly and helpful! I had to bring a wedding dress that my daughter has to wear for a major Charity League event that a friend had given us to try to have the stains removed. I was worried that the stains wouldn't come out and that it would be very expensive to clean. When I picked up the dress I was happily surprised that all the stains were gone and the price was more than reasonable! Julie told me that they had to work very hard with stain remover to get all the stains out but she did not charge me any extra for this service!! I am so grateful and will continue to bring all of our dry cleaning here! read more

I took a coat to be cleaned and when i picked it up it was half way finished. The woman that was there said that the dry cleaning is one thing and that she had to use three brushes to get the lint out. So i said you need to brush it more. If i pay for a service and it's half way done and i have to finish the job myself why should i pay. I could just do it myself. The woman argued with me and started yelling at me. So i said i am not satisfied with your service. And first of all lets keep our voices low. U am a customer and deserve respect. I paid for a service that was not done. So she did not gave me any reasonable explanation for her horrible service. And did not give me a refund ir a discount. I am never taking my clothes there anymore . The prior owners are missed. Whether it is basic cleaning or alterations (trust me her alteration skills are the best I've ever seen) Julie is always providing quality work and I've been coming here for so long that I'll drive out of the way just to get it done here. I've recommended this place to my family members and they love it just as much. A recent experience I've had here was getting quite a few of my pants altered. I went on a bit of a shopping spree and need to get new pants hemmed since I'm shorter than the average person. When I first wanted to get pants altered, I just told Julie I wanted 2 inches hemmed when I brought it in. She blew me away with her attention to detail by having me try on my pants and making sure every aspect of my pants felt comfortable and how I wanted it before pinning anything. Now that is service! Now I not only alter my pants, but she's also altered and cleaned a few bridesmaid dresses, formal dresses, skirts, tops, and sweaters for me! My clothes are always back on time and sometimes when I am in a bind, Julie is kind enough to rush my order. I'm most impressed with her tailoring services. She always has such great recommendations as to how to modify my dresses (I am short and need to alter most dresses I buy). I was especially impressed when she altered my Indian wedding dresses. These items tend to be very elaborate with embroidery work, and she alters around the work to create such a slimming and fit look. I highly recommend her tailoring services. I even had my fiance get his tux altered here, and he was highly impressed with her work! We will continue to be customers and refer people to Dryclean Express! read more
