If I could give this place zero stars I would. I dropped off my ugg slippers that I have worn on and off for a year and they completely ruined them. They charged $35 for the cleaning and I don't know what they did, but they returns the shoes to me with the once furry insoles completely naked. It looked like the fur had been plucked out. I was appalled by the state of the shoes. Hoping for some answers, I called the establishment, only to be completely disrespected by the owner, who basically accused me of dropping the slippers off when it was already deteriorating. They had not only ruined my shoes, they disrespected me on top of that. She offered to refund me the cleaning fee plus $5 if I dropped off the pair for them to keep. Furious, I then asked for a refund plus $5 (total $40) so I could buy a new pair, as they have completely ruined this one, and she kept telling me that I had dropped off an already ruined pair and had refused to refund anything. After some negotiating, she agreed to refund me the cleaning fee, but I am really disappointed in their customer service. I am not one to keep worn out shoes, once they're worn out, it's time to toss them out. The nerve on this lady to not only be rude to a paying customer, but also disrespectfully accuse them of cheating a small business out of money. I wholeheartedly DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE. I know there are instances where things can happen while cleaning, but to react in such a negative way while pointing fingers at the client is not the way to go. There is absolutely a middle ground that could've been met, first with an apology and trying to find a solution together, not blaming the customer the first chance they get. DO NOT COME HERE. All were expensive items, and I was nervous-given this was a new spot I was trying out. I also requested the dress to be altered since I was there. I have been bringing all my clothes here for dry cleaning for over five years now. I do business here for I am told they do cleaning on premises. So far I have been very happy with their work. Owner is very nice and honest. While back ago my shirt was ruined. It was a Balanciaga shirt that I bought in Europe. I was expecting a problem getting reimbursed but the owner was very quick to respond to my complaint and paid me a reasonable settlement for the shirt. Scarves got way bigger than original condition and polo shirt shrunk 3 sizes after dry cleaning. They don't even ask reimbursement for those items and never plan to do it. Beware this is a shady place. My suits came out looking wrinkled and they creased my suit pants on different area. They steam damaged my jacket lining, so I ended up tossing it was permanently wrinkled with stretch marks. I went back to have them fix it, but the owner doesn't work there so I had to come back couple more times in order to meet the owner who doesn't seem to know much about dry cleaning. From what the owner lady was telling me is that the suits get put inside a machine with all the other clothing and she sees nothing wrong with it. I told her I've never seen a dry cleaner steam press a suit jacket with glued lining inside. I asked her how long has she had this business, and her answer was that the Hispanic worker in the back worked here for 10 years. Then I asked her to see other finished dry cleaned suit jacket to compare with and yes they were also wrinkled and hung sloppy on a thin wire hanger. No paper padding like other places do. She said herself that the price is cheap here and you get what you pay for. I wasted a lot of time and money going back and forth. She wouldn't even give a refund. I moved from LA to the Buena Park area a few months ago and was in need of a new dry cleaning place. I stumbled upon Cherry as I was yelping here and there. Decided to give it a try. I took seven dress shirts consisting of white, dark, plaid patterned and requested them to be dry cleaned. The lady (who I later confirmed to be the owner of the business) asked why? She said that these should be washed. While I completely respect her opinion and expertise, I wasn't too thrilled with her attitude. Either way, gave her 7 shirts and proceeded to ask her how much the wash would be. $2.25 per shirt. Dry cleaning is $4.25 per shirt. $3.00 ish for shirts with certain buttons. She says that they may crack. She would not confirm if my shirts would fall into that category. I just assumed that it would be categorized on the receipt. Guess what. The receipt had no total or description of the what was given. It only indicated the number of items and the date that it was dropped off. That's weird. Yelpers! Let me know if this is the norm! Picked up the shirts a few days later. It was some other lady that was a bit nicer. The total came out to $16.00 ish. The quality of the "wash" was okay. Would I go again? Maybe if I'm in a hurry. read more
