What a neat and unique coffee shop located in the Uptown area. My coworkers and I grabbed lunch and were looking for a place to work when I found Plant Magic Cafe. Immediately as we walked up and noticed the "Micro Dose Club" signage and the interior of the place, I could tell this isn't your average coffee shop and I love it because of that. The vibes and environment is super chill with calming music and a nice atmosphere. Wi-fi was fast too! I haven't had a chagaccino in such a long time and I am wondering now why! I remember loving them so much and the chagaccino I had here was so delicious. I will definitely be coming back here often just for that! The price was not bad at all either. The barista was super helpful, knowledgeable, and was perfect at accommodating our drink modifications as well. I am looking forward to coming back here to get work done and/or to look into their other offerings! read more

We've wanted to visit Plant Magic for a while! They don't open until a bit later than other coffee shops, so on previous occasions they'd been closed when we swung by. This time they were finally open! We're big mushroom fans, so we were excited to try their coffee and mushroom concoctions. They had a few gluten free bakery options, but the brand they carry is definitely not my favorite. The almond scone has a bad marzipan taste and the coffee cake is bland and doughy. The service is just okay, but a little lackluster. (The guy who served us seemed flustered and it took away from the otherwise chilled vibe!) The cafe is inside a beautiful old house and they carry lots of fun paraphernalia and curios! I'd be happy to visit again sometime. read more

This is a very cute and unique local shop with drinks, snacks, and hippie-ish gift items. The decor is fun and cute, and there's plenty of seating both inside and outside. I wanted to order a drink I'd not be able to find anywhere else, so I got a (non-psychedelic) mushroom-infused coffee. It was a little bitter for my taste, so I told the server that, and she suggested a few different ways to make it sweeter. I asked her what she would recommend and went with that, and she added flavor pumps free of charge. She was a delight to speak to! I also bought a macrame decoration, and it was less expensive than I was expecting. Great service, great ambiance, great value! They also host events for the community, but I haven't been to any of those yet. read more

Came by on whim on a walk, and I'm in love. Such a a beautiful space, awesome coffee and drink and food selection, friendly staff, and more. Checks all the boxes for the perfect cafe. I stopped by originally because I saw some super cool blow up mushrooms out on a patio. The whole patio is basically a fairy garden. Tons of plants - the flowers on the patio smell amaaaaaaazing, laying flooring, trees for shade, a quaint brick building with iron fence - need a way more? The inside is also eclectic and cozy. You can't go wrong inside or outside. I already had coffee, but perused their selection, which looks awesome. Lots of people sipping on different concoctions. I appreciated that they also had a decent selection of drinks without caffeine too, and ended up getting a La Croix. They had lord of yummy looking pastries in the display case and various burritos. I went for the veggie burrito and it did not disappoint (definitely get the side of green hot sauce). The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Made great suggestions, and checked to make sure I had everything I needed. I appreciated that the all around vibe was relaxing and homey. I will definitely be back! read more

I was impressed by the ambience of the place. It felt like more of a yoga studio versus a coffee shop. The coffee itself is very basic. They have regular coffee drinks, but offer lattes. I requested an unsweetened latte, but sadly got something super sweet. It just was not good. You have an option to select if you want mushrooms with it, but I opted to not have it this time. The cost was almost $9, definitely not a cheap option. The place is very small but cozy. There is a large outdoor area. Overall, if you are looking for a unique place, it's a nice stop, but if you're looking for a good cup of coffee, I would skip it. read more

Just opened only 4 and a half weeks ago (this is as if Dec 3, 2022), this brand-new kid on the block must have been getting a lot of attention from the people who reside in the neighborhood as well as the people who drive by due to its very eye-catching outdoor decor: the two gigantic blown-up mushrooms to be exact! I was in the neighborhood early this morning for a job obligation and saw it on the way to it. After I was done with my shift, I was determined to stop by to get me a cup of doppio and a pastry so that's exactly what I did! This place is all about mushrooms! From outdoor to interior decors, I saw a good number of mushroom items. No wonder the store is named as such (Plant Magic) and it is so fitting! I got the impression that this business might be female empowered one. While I was busy taking lot of pictures of the inside, this lady passed me by and said, "The photo that you just took might be a good one to post on some social media site for a review." I immediately identified myself as one of Yelp Elites and told her that I was going to post a review about the place, she genuinely thanked me. The other lady behind the ordering counter was so nice and welcoming. Out of all the pastries, I picked the Pumpkin Cream Cheese muffin and my usual, doppio for my morning. This coffee shop is my kind of place and is one of a kind. It's a nice place to relax with a cup of joe and a bite to eat but like I already mentioned, you can find a unique gift for yourself or someone. When in Rome, am I right? On a trip to Denver, I stopped by Plant Magic Cafe on a weekday afternoon. Colorado is known for quite a few things, including lax policies in some areas compared to other states if you catch my drift. I naturally went with the mushroom tea and posted up and did some work after hopping on their WiFi. While they didn't have a parking lot, it's in a residential area so I didn't have trouble finding street parking. Plant Magic Cafe has a hippie vibe to it which is a natural fit. I will say the tea isn't tasty by any means but it's supposed to make you feel a certain type of way. That didn't happen to me at all. Not sure why so that was a bit of a bummer. Plant Magic, and the associated people are wonderful. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the coffee is delicious. They have decor, incense, and wholistic healing items for purchase. I spent time reading a book from their in-house library while enjoying my coffee, I loved it. The owner is knowledgeable, very kind, and personifies what it means to be graceful. read more

Just the cutest little coffee spot I've ever had the pleasure of being in. Had a delicious iced chai and bought 2 little nicknacks as gifts, all for pretty cheap! The vibes r unparalleled though, it's so soothing inside and smells like incense, there are plants everywhere and the outside is soooo cute as well. Service was great! My partner and I always see this place with its big mushroom balloon things outside. Well finally we've made our way in. It was early on a Friday morning and the barista was like have you guys been here before? We were acting pretty confused but he was super nice and explained to us all the options. We each got mushroom lattes with caffeine/espresso included. I cannot remember the name of mine ..bulletproof magic or something. It had butter in it lol and it was AMAZING. Definitely magical. The price point is definitely higher than regular coffee but that's to be expected because, well, this isn't just regular coffee. It has whatever functional mushrooms you desire. The barista did say some people come in asking where the magic mushrooms are lol but they dont sell those here. We sat inside and the place has a nice ambiance with overall good vibes, even from the other patrons. It sounds like this place also has events and more to see upstairs. I was going to ask the barista but then there was a line so we just left and I'll ask next time. You won't miss this place due to the large, colorful, inflatable mushrooms out front! When you walk in it's all decorated beautifully, in a hippy style very in line with all things shroom related as you might expect. I got a standard matcha, but it was some of the best matcha I've had, and I may go back when I'm feeling more adventurous and try one of the mushroom teas. I also got a pastry that was warmed up for me that was absolutely delicious. The barista was very friendly, and both the indoor and outdoor spaces are lovely to sit down and enjoy. read more

It's an aptly named cafe and I'm all for it!!! It's a good looking space and right in the midst of 17th/Uptown neighborhood. I am so grateful for a place to open that is willing to bridge the gaps in education to support healing the entire community around misconceptions involving plant medicine. My favorite part about Plant Magic Cafe is their focus on mushrooms, from the outside you are captivated with huge mushrooms calling your attention and inviting you inside. As you open the door, somehow this beam of light shines on you- perhaps it's just the overwhelmingly beautiful energy that captivates you. As you approach the register .... you are welcomed with smiles and a crew member who will create your beverage with love and positive intentions for wellness. I actually found this place while walking after a big meal so, I didn't try any food. I did buy several things and took a tour of the space. They have an upstairs area ready for healing classes - the vibe is definitely right for it. I would say that they seem to know they're way around magic and have manifested a great vision. This place is a vibe ! And a little safe haven. It's a comfortable relaxing place to get work done if you like to work/study in coffeshops. The baristas are very sweet and helpful when it comes to helping find a great choice on the menu; especially for someone who doesn't know a lot about mushroom benefits. This may have been a one off situation, but I had a really bad experience. First their coffee machine was being serviced, which was no big deal and I could move on from that! But the guy at the counter was really rude about it, as if it was my fault the machine was broken. So I ordered an iced chai latte instead. It tasted as if it was straight milk, I don't know where the chai went but it wasn't in my drink! I drank only some of it and then left. read more

This is the cutest little place. I ordered their chia tea latte, it was lovely! They have pastries that look amazing. The space is so cute and they have some good items for sale. I'm terribly sad to be writing this review. After moving to Denver a few months ago this cafe quickly captivated my attention and time. I visited this cafe a few times, always bringing friends back visiting from out of town. The drinks are okay. They never have ice, only hot drinks, but the vibes SEEMED good, so I always wanted to come back until today. I arrived with my ESA dog and a friend. We walked in and another, smaller dog in line immediately started to bark at my dog. My dog reacted and barked back, but I quickly wrangled him in and told him to hush. The cafe owner then came over to me and told me "This is not an establishment for dogs. Only service animals." but did not talk to the other dog owner. I said "my dog is a service animal." and my friend immediately ushered my dog outside, and said she'd wait outside while I ordered for us. While outside, the owner continued to scold me in front of the entire cafe and accuse me of lying about my dog being a service animal. Mostly, I was disappointed that nothing was said to the other smaller dog owner who started the situation, my dog being bigger was discriminated against, and that I was continued to be scolded after my friend and I had removed my dog from the situation. I'm sad that I once wanted to work here, but today I left crying and feeling so icky. The barista continued on to be so rude to me afterward, and the owner never said anything to the other dog owner once or acknowledged that the other dog started things with my dog. I sadly will not be coming back. And would not recommend anybody with any service animals or disabilities to come here. This place says it's a place for community, but today showed it's true colors. :-( read more
