Favorite spot in downtown!…read more This is a Filipino women own shop and it brings my heart so much joy to support them. They have unique Filipino recipe inspired drinks. They also have some delicious buns and pastries that you can enjoy inside or out. Lots of seating options. They always have a line, but it is a testament to how great this spot is. It is a great spot to stop at for your morning drink and snack, fairly loud so socializing here is easy but studying or working may require headphones. I have been a few times now, so I am making this a regular spot. Overall 5/5 stars.

I took a seat outside where there is a generous amount of space (but no outlets obviously). The wifi is free and works well even from outside which is a huge plus. The space is minority and women owned which is awesome as well!

There are just a few small tables and some outdoor seating here, shared with some other shops in this area. The service here was great. The two women working were quick, friendly, and answered my several questions about the menu with ease. I was impressed by their several iced coffee options, all straight from the tap--certainly a fun gimmick but also good coffee. My wife ordered a latte and enjoyed it as well. I would certainly check out Blue Sparrow if I were in the area again, and I do reccomend for anyone searching for a nice iced coffee spot in this part of town.

With that in mind, thanks Heady for existing for us. I really liked the tables/chairs and sofas. It's inviting where you want to sink in the nice cushiony sofa and read your favorite book or open your laptop to do some computer work. The bar seating was also spacious and inviting as well. The guy behind the counter wasn't smiling much but he was very professional to me. I ordered a small cappuccino ($4.50) and sweet potato burrito ($8) for to-go. After I had gotten my beverage/food, I looked around once last time to take more photos. The wall where the one and only TV screen is located has some artwork done on it: Rhinoceros to the left and "DENVER" to the right. This artwork matches with the overall ambiance of the shop. Nicely done. Inside my car, I sipped my cap a little and took a bit of the burrito. The burrito was super hot; it had been at least 5 minutes but it was still burning hot (lol!) The tortilla was nice and (lightly) brown. Inside was packed with scrambled egg(s) and pieces of sweet potato (steam was coming from it; must have sat on the hot plate for a while.) Utilizing the existing brick walls, the interior layout is creative with all sorts of art. Their location is their luckiest part as it consistently draws steady footprints. It's definitely more than a simple coffee shop for sure. Service, however, was quite basic. The lady upfront smiled but hesitantly. She wasn't rude but I simply didn't feel welcome. Hence describing their current customer service system or skills as "good" might fuel their egos (wow, did I really say that?? LOL!!) My quad latte was decent/good. I could have done less espresso shots as it sure was strong or too strong (this wasn't their fault; it was mine.) Yes, in conclusion, the shop can and should refine its service (upping it one more level might draw solid raves from the people). Well. And this is very painful because I don't live or work in Denver and just happened upon this spot during a quick getaway. It was served with a Pullman bread that was stellar on its own and the perfect vehicle for sopping up the broth. My friend and I also split the cornbread and peaches. This dish was my favorite thing I've eaten all year. Divine. The cornbread was well-balanced; not too sweet, and toasted in perhaps salted butter that gave it a fantastic crisp on the bottom. The savory notes were enhanced by toasty pecans and harmonized perfectly with dazzling local Palisade peaches. This ingenious combination was brought together with a delicious whipped crème fraiche. I am at once grateful that I got to eat this dish in my life and bereft that I may never eat it again. The atmosphere is bright, modern Southwest. The staff was extremely warm, welcoming, and helpful. Our main waitress heavily complimented the pastry chef when we raved about our food.
