Brussels Sprouts
Caitlin K.

Very beautiful ambiance, great happy hour deals on food and cocktails! Attentive service. I had the Brussel sprouts from the happy hour menu. Surprised they aren't cut in half when roasted. Only the larger Brussels were cut. Then I ordered the fried shrimp. Served super hot and fresh. They are jumbo sized shrimp which is great and you get four with fries, coleslaw and two hush puppies. I didn't love the breading on the shrimp and I like a little more flavor to my tartar sauce. I would go back to try the fresh catch of the day and other appetizers. Great menu selection overall.

Highly recommend Plank Provisions! Menu is Asian-inspired seafood. Decor is modern, inviting, and tables are well-spaced. Full bar is available, but I tried two teas - Ambrosia then Green. Tea service is divine - your own pot, tiny platter of a tea cup and shot of honey water. Loved the Ambrosia. Starter was Thai Clam Chowder - creamy and spicy with splash of lime. Just yum. Then, tried the Miso Chopped Salad that was fresh and well-chopped. Then entree of Redfish - perfectly seared and served over broccolini and fingerling potatoes with a herby sauce. Staff was attentive, and the Clearfork location provides two parking garages. Definitely returning!

Really enjoyed our lunch here! Our server was really sweet and efficient. The hush puppies were soooo good, we opted for mostly appetizers and they were definitely the stars of the show. They offered to split our entree as well which is always nice. I'll have to come back for happy hour, $1 oysters any day of the week? Count me innnn!

This is my second time here. Never disappoints. The Brussels sprouts are amazing. The cocktail sauce for the shrimp cocktail is out of this world. The red fish was so tasty. Go for happy hour 3-6 for apps.

We visited today, once again for lunch. Our lovely server, Carter, attended perfectly and graciously to us during our meal. We knew we wanted again the redfish ceviche. And again, it was superb. We also decided to try the yellowtail sashimi. Having paid no attention to the description on the menu we requested soy sauce and wasabi to accompany it as we're accustomed to using when enjoying sashimi. Carter very graciously did not exclaim, "What the hell are you thinking about?". Hahaha. When I took a good look at the dish I said to Anne, "No that's wrong. No soy on this!" It is a lovely presentation consisting of thin slices of yellow tail garnished with serrano, orange, pickled ginger, white shoyu, and cilantro. This is probably the most remarkable and enjoyable yellowtail crudo preparation we have ever had. The dish is enhanced by a sprinkling of Maldon salt. We had planned to share an order of the delicious bacon wrapped shrimp, but decided to round out our luncheon with another order of the yellowtail sashimi. So good.

We visited Plank Provisions at The Shops at Clearfork and had an amazing experience. This review will be brief since we only tried one dish: the Atlantic Salmon. My recommendation is to enjoy the salmon without wine or any other drink--just water. If you rinse your mouth before each bite, you'll notice an incredible burst of flavor every time. We ordered the salmon cooked medium, and both the fish and the risotto stayed perfectly warm throughout the meal. The hostess and our waiter were outstanding and even suggested what may be the best table in the entire restaurant. The total for two salmon entrées, including tip, was around $72, and it was absolutely worth it.

Redfish deliciousness. They had me at brown butter.

Happy hour family fun at Plank! We enjoy the menus and sophisticated, bright, and friendly vibes. Service is always attentive and friendly. Sushi rolls are fresh and tasty. The shrimp toast is very delicious and shareable. Hubby enjoyed his Port Old Fashioned. Cheers to this local gem for the entire family.

Wow. I'm so full I can barely move. Service - beyond excellent. Ambiance - sea-worthy with sky constellations. Love it! Food on a scale of 1 to 10? 12. Before 8 go on, here are my disappointments. These disappointments pull down my yelp rating from a 6 star to a 5 star. 1) Parking is horrible. Not just horrible, but horribly horrible. Be prepared to park away, so it's not a good idea to wear flip flops or cute uncomfortable shoes. If luck is on your side and you snatched a parking spot up close, go buy a lottery ticket! 2) I love the inside decor and the big windows. But...where the Plank is located, theres not a lot to look at...except for the T-mobile store across the street. Which actually reminded me to pay my bill. I had an espresso martini that was To. Die. For. Not an over-exaggeration! I went in for the redfish ceviche and dessert, but ended up staying for drinks and lunch. The redfish appetizer is excellent. The bacon and jalapeno wrapped shrimp with dirty rice and green beans was magnificent. The Butterscotch Budino dessert was fabulous! And the Oak Cliff pressed coffee was divine. I even sweetened it with brown sugar cubes. So tasty!!!

The establishment is warm and cozy. I had the pleasure of meeting three friendly and professional staff members. I'll start with dessert. If you like peanut butter you'll love the chocolate terrine. It was plated beautifully and the peanut butter ice cream was robust. The item I enjoyed the most during my visit was the redfish ceviche. The leche de tigre, avocado, red onion, and black garlic were fresh and flavorful. There was a hint of spice and the tostadas added a nice crunch to the dish. The calamari was fried perfectly. However, for $15, I had better seasoned calamari for half the price. The blackened catfish alone gets 1 star. It's the primary reason for my overall 3 star review. I've ordered blackened catfish from many restaurants over the years. This one is the worst! I'm not saying the catfish or entree was bad. But, for the amount I paid I expected a savory mix of spices. If you enjoy a bold, flavorful, cajun, southern comfort blackened catfish this is NOT for you. Sorry, but lack of seasoning in Cajun and Creole cuisines is disrespectful. If you receive a catfish that's blackened correctly it shows they're inconsistent with preparing menu items. I will say the way it's prepared you don't have to worry about heartburn. Note: There is retail parking on the side of the building.

Great price for happy hour oysters! They were not all shucked the best but still very tasty and fresh. Every time I've been here I've been seated promptly and received good service!

When I went for lunch/brunch at Plank I did not like it at all. The food wasn't very good... My friend and I both agreed that the Smoked Fish Dip was the best thing we ordered. The two entrees was very disappointing. Especially the Jalapeno Salmon Burger... the flavor was absent. Not to mention for what we got, the price could have been better.

Came back again Tuesday for Happy Hour - had to grab the burger and oysters again. We also tried the crab dip, incredibly salty for our preference. Didn't mention to waiter as we had already sent back the beets for not liking the glaze/sauce & it totally isn't his fault. Probably just our tastebuds. Won't keep us from coming back. Just wouldn't recommend or order again. Hats off to our waiter Varon (sp?!) very nice, remembered our orders along with all the other tables he was servicing. Very attentive. Surprisingly a little bit more crowded on a Tuesday night, wasn't expecting that. But there wasn't a wait and the staff still did great, food still came out in a timely fashion.

Think is the best happy hour spot I've found for oysters in Fort Worth. I love that it's close by a lot of other shops/activities in The Shops at Clearfork. Whether you're winding down after work or warming up for dinner, this costal-chic spot delivers a perfect happy hour for seafood lovers. The chef choice oysters are $1.50 during happy hour which is everyday (yes this includes weekend days) from 3 - 6p. They have other great happy hour deals as well including $7 prosecco + 25% off wine bottles, $6 oyster shots (think Bloody Mary with a surprise) and sushi + shareable from $7. I recommend going on a weekday for minimum crowds, but I love that you can enjoy this happy hour any day of the week.

I've had the burger, side lobster mac and cheese, and the Hudson salad here, both of which were delicious. Their cocktails are always a hit, too. I love their French 75 and Lemon Drop martini. Huge plus that their martinis are half off during happy hour. The last time I visited, I arrived around 45 minutes after the rest of the party. Our server immediately noticed and greeted me, showing how attentive they are. The food also came out pretty quickly. The first time I came here though, they were a bit stingy to seat us at a booth during happy hour, but asides from that one experience, I have no complaints about this location. There's a decently sized parking lot available (though it can fill up), along with street parking. Overall, I highly recommend visiting Hudson House, especially at the FW location!

We stopped in on a Sunday between about 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. It wasn't particularly busy, but the service was a bit slower than we expected. We sat at the bar and waited a while before receiving menus, and after ordering it also took some time to get our drinks or catch a bartender's attention. We ordered the oysters, and unfortunately they had quite a few shell fragments in them--enough that we didn't feel comfortable eating them. Once we were able to let the staff know, they were very kind about replacing the oysters, and the manager came over personally to apologize, which I really appreciated. This was my first visit to this location, and I'm hoping it was just an off day. I've always enjoyed Hudson House, and despite the hiccups, I would absolutely come back and give this location another chance because the atmosphere and the way they handled the issue left a positive impression.

Because of other reviews, I went ahead and got on their website and made reservation when we were on our way. I wasn't asked if we had reservation and unsure how important it was but better safe than sorry. They did get busier as it got later of course. The bar was full with many drinking martinis already. They serve brunch on weekends and have adjoining cocktail menu. Several tables had the beignets (4 for $7) which were so puffy and looked delicious. I got the breakfast toastie which was really big & delicious. We could have split one! The hashbrowns were heavy seasoned to my preference but were very good, My Mom got the Corned Beef Hash with poached eggs, hash browns, & a biscuit. The corned beef mixture was extremely salty but good when mixed together with hashbrowns & eggs. The biscuit was delicious! Will not order again We saw others enjoying toasties, cheesey grits, and massive crawfish pie. We look forward to going back!
