I honestly didn't think I was ever going to try this place again. However I did for a group of people and it was actually enjoyable this time. The waiter was incredibly nice and very informative. I ordered the Rim Burger which was cook well and was seasoned appropriately. Also had the biscuits and gravy, the scrambled eggs were over cooked but the biscuit was not dry. This was actually an enjoyable experience. read more

It's been a while since I've been to The Rim, probably about a year. My friends and I love to have b-day dinners at this place. The atmosphere is live and happening. The service is top-notch and the food never disappoints. We had a huge party this time, over 12 people. The service was fantastic and they stayed on top of it the whole time. I got the Fred Flintstone short rib again. I think I've only tried one other menu item lol. This short rib hits like no other. I ate the entire thing and I was proud.! Looking forward to the next birthday dinner here at The Rim !! read more

Lots of Americana items adorn the walls and open spaces. Pretty cool vibes here. They have live music on Sunday and Wednesday nights, full bars, and plenty of seating. We had a reservation for Saturday brunch at 10:00 AM. Turns out they also open at ten. I mention this because the doors were, of course, locked until exactly the stroke of ten. We were greeted and welcomed in by the hostess, and were seated immediately. Our server Keith was friendly and knowledgeable. He recommended the shrimp and grits, which I ordered. Another favorite there is The Rim Breakfast. My lovely bride ordered that and it looked delicious. My shrimp and grits were good but it was supposed to have come with some red gravy. What I got was a broth that watered down the grits instead of enhancing them. Kind of a downer. I mentioned to Keith but he doubled down on the broth being gravy. As I said they had just opened. I suspect they were not 100% prepared that day and just tried to make do. I think if we had come in an hour later our experience would've been much better. read more

Second time at the Rim tonight. We started off with the queso and house chips as our appetizer. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and a side of house chips. I ordered the triple meat, pizza and the wedge salad. We were extremely disappointed in the chicken fried steak. The crust fell off and the meat was very tough and lacked any seasoning at all. We had the chicken fried steak removed from our table and the waitress didn't even bother to ask what was wrong with the meal. read more

The rim has a cool 60's vibe. It is very eclectically decorated and has a cool vibe. Service was great ambience was great and the food was even better. We had a party of 6 and every single dish was excellent. Will definitely be back. " American retro served with a side of VIBE" read more

Brunch food and service were good. Meat was slightly overcooked, and the selection was limited. I always like the music, but someone must have complained because they turned the sound down mid-meal!-( This is the old Buttons owner restauranteur place. We love the Rim! Always delicious food with nice portions and an innovative menu. Happy hour was a hit with pizza, wings, and meatballs. Had a wonderful lunch at THE RIM with a longtime dear friend, and it was the perfect setting to slow down and catch up. The homestyle chicken fried chicken was excellent. It was crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside and exactly the kind of comfort food you hope for. The menu has so many appealing options that I'm already planning a return trip to try several other dishes. What really stood out was the atmosphere...so well done! We lingered for quite a while talking, and at no point did we feel rushed. Our server, Cynthia, struck that ideal balance of attentive yet relaxed. Great food, welcoming environment and the perfect place to enjoy both a meal and meaningful conversation. read more

We had Brunch with 17 people on a Saturday morning at 10a when the restaurant first opened and we were treated like royalty! Our waiter, Keith, was amazing. The food came out so quickly and was just delicious. I had The Rim Breakfast which was absolutely delicious. Three girls ordered Chicken & Waffles and it's enough food for two more meals. The decor is very southern and fun -- lots of Marilyn and Elvis, southern charm at its finest. Highly recommended. read more

The food is great and the bill doesn't break the bank. Awesome lunch menu. The waiters and waitresses are always nice and professional.

We ordered chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak. The chicken was rubbery tasted like a cheap frozen breast. Steak was good but more crust than steak and not enough gravy read more

Came here for dinner with a party of five on a Saturday night and we had a terrible experience. First, the server assumed several of us didn't speak English and also assumed we spoke Spanish. I found this very disrespectful. Second, the wait for food took at least an hour. My aunt's fish tacos were not delivered when the rest of our food was delivered. Eventually, they brought them out and I noticed the server then return about 5 minutes later with a different plate of fish tacos. It seems like the communication with the kitchen is very poor. It was not an enjoyable experience all around and I will not return. read more

The absolute worst Mother's Day brunch. Arrived at 9:30 am with reservations. Most of the food was cold and way over cooked on the buffet. The buffet and service was disorganized and staff was unfamiliar with brunch menu and special drinks. $5 drinks were $10 and $9 on the bill. Yogurt station with berries and granola was delicious but you had to spoon it on a plate - no bowls. Very disappointing! Social media had excellent marketing but it didn't live up to the hype. Sad to spend $45 for cold and mediocre food. Expected more was very disappointed. read more

Good location. Great decor, open and inviting for a fun and social meetup. We ordered simple Rim burger and Grilled chicken Caesar, both were good. Service felt a bit slow, but we arrived within the hour of opening and there were only 4 tables occupied on a weekday so they felt a bit overwhelmed. read more

Isabella's service was a 10/10! id come back to dine with her. But the food was just ok. Nothing to rave about. No smoker for the old fashioned which was no big deal.. The jalepeno ranch shrimp appetizer was bland. The shrimp creole was bland as well. My red fish was great a solid 8/10. I'd give the Brussel sprouts a 4/10 I've had a lot better. Overall probably wouldn't come back for the price / food read more

So first off the service was wonderful and we loved our waitress. I would say this restaurant would benefit by shades on the windows. All booths on the end get blasted by the sun. I still love this place, actually more than before. When I go, it is with a fairly decent size party and they're always accommodating and get us seated fast. On certain days there is live music playing, they have an awesome outdoor seating area, and the vibe is chill. The spinach and artichoke dip is amazing so we always start with that. Whenever we go, we ask to get seated in Mia's section. She anticipates our needs, checks in on us, but not too often and is knowledgeable about the menu. read more

Pretty solid outfit here. I stopped in for lunch on my day off and sat at the bar for an enjoyable experience. My server was quick to get me a beer and hand me a menu and make some recommendations. I ended up ordering the jalapeno burger, medium, and was certainly satisfied. It's big! It comes with 3 cheeses ( Gouda, pepper jack, and cheddar), crispy bacon, and freshly grilled jalapeños, lettuce and tomato. Did I mention it was big??! Due to its size, I cut it in half, a la Guy Fieri, and dug right in. As soon as I cut it I could smell the fresh jalapeno. It added spice and flavor, but was not too overpowering. The 3 cheeses are great and crispy bacon makes everything better. I subbed the fries for chips and washed it down with a Pilsner. Pretty good sized menu at this place with a lot of variety. Music themed inside with friendly staff. I look forward to my return trip at The Rim. read more

I don't think I've EVER been to a worse "buffet", much less an Easter buffet, than this,in my entire life.!! . I don't even know where to start! All the food here is amazing. The chicken and waffles is a must try for brunch or lunch :) The pizzas are great at any time. Homemade dough basted with fresh garlic butter and house made pizza sauce and topped with a five cheeses, need to say more? I think not! The jalapeño burger is fire! I have tried about half the menu and never been disappointed. The staff is attentive and always consistent with service. Great place for game day with friends or a family dinner. We went to dinner Saturday evening around 6pm and were seated immediately. They were busy but waitstaff did a great job keeping up. If I could give zero stars, I would!! My sister and I chose The Rim for Sunday brunch before going to catch a movie.....NEVER AGAIN!! My sister had a question about a menu item and instead of our waiter Nathan saying let me check, his immediate answer was "no" followed by an excuse. He wasn't the greatest at serving to begin with, but we were hungry so we gave him grace. The food comes out and as we are enjoying it, a bug crawls across my plate and up onto my fork. Prior to the food coming out, our table was clean and we were sitting for at least 45 minutes before receiving our food which leads me to believe the kitchen is not up to par. Our waiter was nowhere around so we grabbed the waitress passing by. She took the plate to the back, not even stunned or alarmed that there was even a bug on the plate. Neither our waiter nor the manager, Jose, came out to address the issue. My sister had to flag our waiter down to let him know we were leaving. Bad service and unsanitary conditions in a food establishment is unacceptable. This was a horrible experience and I WILL NOT be back!! read more

Wish zero stars was an option. Service, atmosphere , and the food quality used to be good. Today after taking bites of our food, we see a roach crawling on my sister's plate.
