You can never go wrong with Hudson House! I love coming here for a girls night or for happy hour. Everything is always phenomenal, from the service to the food. I've had the burger, side lobster mac and cheese, and the Hudson salad here, both of which were delicious. Their cocktails are always a hit, too. I love their French 75 and Lemon Drop martini. Huge plus that their martinis are half off during happy hour. The last time I visited, I arrived around 45 minutes after the rest of the party. Our server immediately noticed and greeted me, showing how attentive they are. The food also came out pretty quickly. The first time I came here though, they were a bit stingy to seat us at a booth during happy hour, but asides from that one experience, I have no complaints about this location. I unfortunately didn't take any photos, but I really loved this location. The atmosphere is beautiful, with multiple dining areas, different seating options, and two bars that give the space a fun, lively feel. We stopped in on a Sunday between about 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. It wasn't particularly busy, but the service was a bit slower than we expected. We sat at the bar and waited a while before receiving menus, and after ordering it also took some time to get our drinks or catch a bartender's attention. We ordered the oysters, and unfortunately they had quite a few shell fragments in them--enough that we didn't feel comfortable eating them. Once we were able to let the staff know, they were very kind about replacing the oysters, and the manager came over personally to apologize, which I really appreciated. This was my first visit to this location, and I'm hoping it was just an off day. I've always enjoyed Hudson House, and despite the hiccups, I would absolutely come back and give this location another chance because the atmosphere and the way they handled the issue left a positive impression. read more

Hospitality isn't on the menu at the Hudson House and Surprisingly the menu is limited. Fitting. We had lots of questions around the appetizers including adding cream cheese to one of the "riceless" rolls. The Chef wasn't having it. We went with the Seared Tuna, Cocktail shrimp and oysters on the half shell. Delicious. Fresh for Texas and perfect on a hot Texas summer day. My companion had the steak, truffled fries and greens. Steak was ok. Fries and greens were horrible. I opted to pass on an entree and we split the choc Silk Pie. It was good. Restaurant, true to form was busy. The burgers looked delicious and were coming out of the kitchen left and right. I'll end the review with the staff just doesn't look "happy". Soured faces rampant. I've been to Hudson House a couple of times now, and both visits have been solid. This is a popular restaurant in Fort Worth, so I definitely suggest making a reservation, especially on the weekends. The parking situation can get a little dicey, but I have lucked up both times. As for the staff and service, they are just ok. Not a standout experience, but not necessarily bad either. The food is good, and I see why the lobster rolls are one of their most popular items. The restaurant itself is very clean and a great spot for a brunch date or happy hour. We have been to the Addison location a few times but this was our first visit to the Fort Worth one and the level of consistency was impressive. Fantastic food, zero complaints. Crazy good popcorn chicken and the house salad was as delicious as ever. Lobster roll was amazing, no surprise. I've been here on two separate occasions, the first just for a solo dinner and ordered the lobster role, which was okay would rate it about 3.8/5 as it felt like a take on a chicken salad sandwich in lobster form. The second time I came it was during HH with friends and ordered the cheeseburger and truffle fries which definitely hit the spot. The real highlight would honestly be the drinks! We had a very good experience at this restaurant. The service was exceptional, with a warm and friendly staff who always greeted us with a smile. Some of our food choices were amazing, while others were just average. The East Coast Oysters were an absolute must-try. They were incredibly fresh and had a perfect balance of saltiness. I ordered the hamburger without the bun and it is served with a giant seasoned pickle. I'm not sure who likes a giant seasoned pickle with their burger over fries but I guess someone does. My husband's wine was turned. They brought a new glass and it was fine but we had to wait about 20 minutes to be able to alert anyone that it was bad. It's so rich and decadent, this is the main reason I return to this place! The next most delicious dish they offer is their lobster mac. Super rich and flavorful. Salty lobster paired with so much cheese. I make a meal out of it and am so full by the end of it all. One thing I don't love on their menu is the lobster roll. If you have had Maine lobster rolls you will be disappointed. This does not compare in the least bit. If you haven't ever had Maine lobster, you might be able to fully enjoy this! What a wonderful place for brunch! First, it's open and bright, and the staff are super friendly and helpful! It doesn't smell like fish, which could be expected in a fish place, so that was a huge bonus! I had the lobster eggs benedict, and the hollandaise was out of this world! I'm used to often getting something either bland, or some garbage version of a lemon sauce (??), but this was light, fragrant and very aromatic! I would highly suggest getting extra on the side! That is exactly what came with my wife's breakfast sandwich! I will admit... when I saw it, I thought plain ol' hamburger buns aren't going to cut it at this price point! However, this isn't from Mrs. B! This was a light, delicate brioche bun, topped with a delicious soft scramble, crispy bacon, and a side of that incredible hollandaise. We split the sandwich, and shared the benny's... and took some home! We ordered the truffle fries, which were delicous, but they came home too! Finally, what's brunch without a cocktail? I had to try the key lime pie as it's one of my favorites and when John told us the crust was graham cracker pecan crust, I was sold. We had the decil eggs for appetizers and although good, not worth the nine dollars price. For entrée I had the reddish and my wife had the salmon.
