This really is an awful restaurant as everyone says, sadly: - yes the service is insanely slow (albeit friendly!)- do not be hungry upon arrival - both of us got food poisoning - the burger salad-- the "salad" portion is JUST iceberg (it says mixed on the menu), PRE-doused in a creamy dressing. This is NO salad-- see pic, will upload from other phone. Iceberg already wilted from being pre- soaked in dressing. More like how they describe 'salad' in the south-- not fresh greens, whatsoever. - burger came out completely well done despite their asking 'pink' -burgers completely bland -the food poisoning part needs to be mentioned 2x, ridiculous read more

Zero star review! Been going here for 12+ years but never again after today. Worst experience ever. Went there at lunchtime, 12noon. Place had been ope n for a while. 3 tables with people at them. No one at the door to greet you, no bar tender, no wait staff... after 10 minutes of waiting I went to the door to the kitchen area and said that there were a 7 people waiting to get seated and all I got was a lousy attitude from the one employee who was there. I will never go there again and advise you to go elsewhere. Lousy service, food used to be ok. Go anywhere else!!! read more

We come back so often...too often! They know our order preferences we are here so much. Everything we order each time is timely and delicious. The waitstaff is amazing and friendly and while I have meant the cookstaff, the food is so good I can compliment them with ease. Plan B Milford does it right and does it well. read more

We love Plan B and have visited many times over the past decade. I personally like the homemade potato chips the and loaded chips with blue cheese and bacon. On the lighter side, the salads and burgers are always tasty. We like the service and cozy, relaxed atmosphere. We've never had a bad experience here or a bad meal. Highly recommend, if you like pub food. read more

My girlfriend and I had pretty much given up on Plan B after two disappointing visits to the Plan B Burger Bar in GLASTONBURY, both times the Diablo Burger came out super dry, like Sahara-desert dry. But on our way home we decided to give the Plan B Burger Bar in MILFORD a shot, and wow... game changer. Their Diablo Burger was delicious, juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Complete redemption for the brand. Huge shout-out to John, the bartender, for the great service. He was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Milford's Plan B Burger bar definitely restored our faith in Plan B. We'll be coming back! read more

Plan B normally never disappoints but tonight it did. Our server Christina was the only highlight of the evening. Our Southern Pulled Pork sliders were dry. My burger was undercooked, bread and bacon was cold. My cheese wasn't melted either. I also thought it was way smaller than usual. The waitress offered to have a fresh burger made but I asked it be put back on the grill. I had not bit into it, just cut it in half. My husband's burger didn't have the correct cheese and his fries were cold. I hope my next visit will go better or else they will be off my favorite list 11/8: Wanted to return to one of my favorites. Our waiter Gio was amazing. Our food was what I've been used to from Plan B. I tried the Shepherds Pie. It's huge and so delicious. I would definitely order again. Thanks Gio read more

Genuinely one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. Wildly slow service, bad food, awkward vibe. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else in the area read more

I think I'm done supporting this wildly inconsistent burger place. They are such a quick pick for whenever you are shopping near the Post Mall, because everyone knows where they are but their food ranges from tasteless to good with everything being a wild pick and likely having several people in your party wondering why they came here. Their chicken tenders were devoid of any flavor. I don't think they even put salt on them. I ordered their signature Mother of All Burgers, and if that's indeed the mother, I see why none of her kids call. The chicken sandwich was apparently good and the tater tots are a nice side dish. Other people in the group thought their burgers were so-so and that the regular fries tasted odd. It has been diminishing returns since years ago when we first started going here, and we are fed up with a menu that's just a crapshoot, with many options that will just waste your money and time. High time now to go literally anywhere else in the Post Road for lunch or dinner. Even if that's the mall's food court. read more

I thought the portions were decent for the price. My beef burger had a weird taste & I thought the tater tots were greasy. They have gluten free options. The kids menu provided enough options for my kids. Overall I don't think I'd see a reason to come again as there wasn't anything great. I could make this at home. The server was attentive. It was very slow for 8 pm on a Saturday. read more

When you order a sandwich burger of chicken or beef, you would expect the flavor of the protein giving you juicy when you first bite it. Completely opposite! The food was ready within 8 minutes of 5 people. Is that really good quality of food being serve? It was clearly that the protein was precooked few hours ago as bulk which is the reason why the juicy disappear from it. It was fully dry! Real chef knows that! I put two stars because the bang bang shrimp was gucci good. Such a nice restaurant and the ambient surrounding was on point but can't serve real quality of food? I am happy to wait longer to get the bang quality food in my month. Not cool at all. read more

We have come here before for a good meal. I was disappointed this trip. The host did not seem like they wanted to be there at all. The server was nice but after the initial check to see if everything came out alright, there were no other table checks. The ticket times were slower than the last few times we were here, I am not sure why. At least the server should have informed us the food would be out soon or something. The food was as good as usual, no complaints except my bun was crumbling as I ate my burger, which means it was probably under the lamp too long. It is a nice dining area, perfect for what they offer. What prompted the score was I saw at least 6 different staff members walk over a napkin someone dropped on the floor near our table. I used my napkin to pick it up. I worked in food services a long time ago and I couldn't leave it there. Maybe we came on the wrong day. read more

Went here for the first time. Nice relaxed atmosphere, there is also a bar inside. Friendly and helpful staff. My burger was very good, although they will apparently overcook it regardless of how you order it. The sweet potato fries were really good as well. Good service, plenty of parking. The prices seem a bit high for my taste though. read more

We were visiting family for Thanksgiving. Our host/hostess brought us here before rest of the relatives come into town. We were here for appetizers and few drinks. The bartender was amazing. We may have been a little loud... just a little. She laughed at our stupid jokes and stories. We ordered a few appetizers and all were delicious. We also ordered a few cocktails which definitely hit the spot and prepared us for of the family. Great place to just hang and have a few drinks and catch up read more

I have NO idea why this place isn't rated higher!! Food was great, ambience is nice, and the service was incredible! Rishon is a gem and if you have the pleasure of being waited on by him, you will have a great time. Highly recommend! read more

Ever since we first tried out this place, whenever we find ourselves in the area with some burger cravings, we stop buy. We love the friendly staff and the ambiance of the place. Perfect for larger parties (family size) or if you're trying to do a cute date night since they have varying table sizes. This time we tried out their wings and I got the Philly steak cheeseburger - both were delicious! The Philly steak burger isn't exactly like a Philly cheesesteak however the thin cut strips of meat with mushroom and cheese sauce loaded on top really was delicious nonetheless. A little bit messy so would recommend having a wet wipe ready haha. We also love their fries here and how always fresh and crispy they are! Can't wait to go back again to try out a new menu item! read more

Saturday afternoon lunch with my son. He requested burgers and we saw this while driving down Rte 1 in Milford. It had been years since we went to a Plan B Burger, so we decided to give it a try again. Walked in and were seated right away. It was a gorgeous day outside, but freezing in the restaurant. The waitress also agreed it was too cold and said the night before was too hot. We each made our own burger with what we wanted. We ordered medium rare and they came out well done. I'm not a fan of how they clump the meat together rather than making a patty. Much better burgers around in the area. I don't think we'll be stopping by here again anytime soon. read more

We have been going here for 7 years. At the very beginning it was great. We would come often enough that the servers (Tom) knew us. For about 3 ish years it was going great. Right before Covid we noticed things changing. Started with no pickles at our meals and the menu change. After Covid, when everything was back to normal we have been back but less frequently as to the food and service changes have not been pleasant. To my recollection, every time we are seated in the back. Doesn't matter if it's busy or slow. And we have looked at the other patrons and we have several times sat there by our selves as we are the only in that has children. The only time we have seen that different is when the area is closing like tonight. We knew this as the waitress said it loud enough for us to hear. The back area is dark and has an echo that you would get in a cafeteria. You are not in an area that makes you feel like you are not in the same part of the restaurant. The food is sub par. Endless mistakes on our order and lack of seasoning. Macaroni and Cheese is not macaroni and can change. Sounds silly, but with a toddler it can make or break a nice dinner. We thought we would give it another chance and that maybe things have changed but they have not. Don't like having to sit in the "kid" area. Miss the old restaurant and being able to have my toddler devour the pickles that they once had. read more

I really miss the Plan B in Fairfield so I knew the perfect spot to go to when my dad was craving a burger and we were in the area! I got my favorite - the blue cheese burger: a beef burger with bourbon bbq sauce, caramelized onions and blue cheese. Haven't had this in years and it was perfect! I opted for the sweet potato fries which were plenty and perfectly crisp. My dad opted to build his own burger and he loved it! Service was great and quick. Will definitely stop by again when I'm around next time! read more

Why doesn't planB have Onion Rings on the Menu? They go so well with a burger and a beer?

Today I went out for lunch at my local Plan B Burger in Milford,CT. I have been here before and have enjoyed the macaroni and cheese which tastes like exactly how you would want fancy macaroni and cheese. The fries that have Parmesan on them are the best fries. Lately the burgers are usually really good too with cheese bacon and other toppings. Though today was a different experience. My partner usually only comes here for one thing - the grilled cheese. Note: it is on the kids menu. This grilled cheese is the 3rd best around and that is what made him start coming here more often. He recently visited before the end of 2024 and was able to get the grilled cheese no issue. Today, we were told this was the last time we could get it that way. I myself ordered a kids meal option as well because it was just a light lunch since we were in the shopping area. So, if you do order from the kids meal and are not a child, you may not get it that way. I understand why a restaurant would do this but you know, it changes a lot. Other than that, the atmosphere is always low lighted and at night it looks very nice. It's pretty clean inside along with the bathrooms. Burger was good, fresh juicy meat. The grilled cheese was not dry, had a just enough cheese that a grilled cheese should have. 4.5/5.0 read more

I absolutely loved eating here. My food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was wonderful. My chicken sandwich was so crispy and moist and the pickles on it were excellent. One of the best chicken sandwiches I've eaten in Connecticut. My strawberry margarita was delicious and strong. The fancy fries were crispy and cooked to perfection. My friend said that she loved her parmesan tots. And both of their burgers were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend dining here. read more

Craving a burger I had high hopes for this place, but it was a big miss. I've come to this location a few times over the years but the last two times have both been misses. We came here on a Saturday night and sat at the bar. We had initially wanted a table of booth but we were told we'd have to wait about 20 mins, odd because we sat at the bar and saw various open tables, they were not reserved. The bartender was friendly and attentive, bar seating was comfortable and spacious. For food I got the breakfast burger and my wife got the Bacon Cheeseburger. My burger was supposed to have some maple aioli on it, did not taste it, my fried egg was small and what really bothers me is the bun. If you're going to charge almost $20 for a burger it better be good. The patty wasn't large either, but back to the bun. It was very crumbly and fell apart, too much bread. In conclusion, this place was very disappointing, will be quite some times before I return, there are much better options out there. read more

Our waiter was nice but service seemed slow. When we came in, took them a good 5 min to seat me even though it wasn't terribly busy. I will say, they walked by me many times and at least kept saying that they would be right with me. They have a decent selection of craft beer. The jalapeño poppers were really good but our burgers were average. I got the Baja burger because it had avocado on it and the tiny wedge they gave didn't cover the sandwich. If they had sliced it thinly or mashed it and out it on, it would have been better than one solid wedge. We were in a bit of a rush for an escape room we had booked so asked for to go containers for people take things home. I got the regular fries and they were good. I would prefer their hamburgers to be a bit more involved for the cost, would probably go to another place over them in the future. read more

Still bad! A little worse than last time I went. I would say the restaurant was half empty, tons of tables yet they told us there was a 20 minute wait. Id never wait that long for this place because it's really not good but we were driving by and wanted something quick. We sat at the bar seats since there was no wait for that. Most of them don't have backs and are uncomfortable. I'm just still so confused as the wait when most tables were empty. Draft lift was good! We each got a beer and a burger with fries. The fries are identical to McDonald's but not as good. The burgers were bad, no texture and the buns were crumbly, too bready and falling apart. Husband got the breakfast burger and I got the bacon cheeseburger both were supposed to have aiolis on them but weren't detectable. He didn't even notice the egg on it since it was so small. I thought the bartender was cool and friendly, not his fault the food sucks. Also, I'm sure the hostess is confused about the seating and all that and causing the place to loose money since so many people were waiting for tables that were cleared and available. 50% capacity or less. There's so many better options I won't come back for years lol read more

I'd normally give this place a solid 3 but my most recent visit this past Saturday was so disappointing. Walking in to the dining room was unsettling. The place smelled of old stale flattop grill. The smell was overwhelming. My burger was way overcooked and dry (I ordered medium rate and got very well done). The burger fell apart and while the pretzel bun was fresh, I didn't enjoy it at all. The hand-cut fries were mostly small pieces of potatoes, typically a sign of poor handling I've always enjoyed this place but not this time. Our server was great however I wish I could remember his name. He did a great job. If I go back, maybe I'll feel better about going up another star. read more

The drinks and food are slightly overpriced, but the portions are huge and delicious. Lots of options even if your party doesn't want a burger but that really is their best stuff! This Plan B always disappoints. Not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. The only thing good was our server, Tom. My husband ordered the Italian grilled chicken sando which was inedible. The chicken was so tough you couldn't bite into the sandwich. The server graciously took it back and brought a cheeseburger which wasn't much better. For a burger place, their burgers suck. I had the Cobb salad which was just ok, but again the grilled chicken was overcooked and dried out. I didn't have the heart to send mine back too, but we are done with this place. The extra star is for Tom, an excellent server. read more

One word. AMAZZZZING! I'm here for the "Fall in Love with Bourbon" event. It was $100 a seat and so worth it thus far. The service staff for this even has been nothing short of impeccable. The event itself is situated in the back room of the establishment and eclectically decorated. They served PAPPY VAN WINKLE!!! It doesn't get much better than this! Not in Ct. The pappys Apple cobbler, SPOT ON!!! Chef Bobby is dreamy! He created the best meal. Thank you Plan B for a wonderful evening! read more

Suffice to say, I would go somewhere else if you want a decent burger. I ordered the MOAB and was very disappointed with it. A decent stop for when you just want a burger and a drink. The service was very quick and to the point which we preferred. Ambiance is lower lit and maintains a casual vibe. I also came for brunch the other morning, and since that's my most recent visit I'll go into more detail about that: Ordered the eggs benny, which game on english muffins with potatoes. It was nothing spectacular, and not a large amount of food. Coffee came in a GIANT mug. Brunch here is so-so, but giving Plan B four stars because I think it's one of the best for burgers in WeHa (better than Max's in my opinion). I usually don't leave bad reviews even if my experience was HORRIFYING while dining but this deserves light. The "hostess" upon entering didn't offer to seat me at a table or bar. I instead was confused while stating, "I guess I'll just sit at the bar?!" As I made my way to the bar, the "bartender" was unwelcoming and also rude when I said I would be dining alone. It seemed like the manager caught her rude greeting and picked up her slack letting me know, "We'd be happy to have you!" So after ordering a MEDIUM temperature burger, my food comes out but more on the medium well side. When I asked the bartender is Medium considered to have pink at the venue, she nastily told me yes. I was confused because I clearly ordered medium. Moving forward to her then nastily telling me she would bring it back to recook. I was already halfway done with my burger at this point considering she NEVER came back to check on me. It escalated to her feeling comfortable enough to yell out to me all the way across the bar which was at this point unprofessional and distasteful. Management did little to nothing to neutralize her behavior which I assume prompted her to purchase my meal which I didn't even want her to do at this point. I wrapped my half eaten burger left my half finished beer and exited with no intent to return to this literal circus. read more

A large restaurant with mostly booth seating and cattle ranch decor. It's the end unit in a strip mall plaza on the post road. There are a few tables for outdoor seating on the sidewalk. The menu offers a large selection of appetizers and burgers and sandwiches. Very much bar food. The burgers are very tall and come with a choice of buns. They're always cooked perfectly. The sides can be upgraded with a significant up charge. This restaurant specializes in burgers, bourbon and beer and excels at all three. read more

Wow, first timer. Won't be going back. Plenty of empty tables but needed to wait to be seated. Table felt wiped down but still dirty. The whole place needs a good scrubbing. Dead flies in overhead lamp. Appetizer was served with meal (cute), no silverware. Limp, day-old tasting "fancy" fries, dry bun, dry chicken. Server barely checked on us. I have to admit we only ate 1/4 of our meal. The leftovers make the car smell like fart. read more
