Zero star review! Been going here for 12+ years but never again after today. Worst experience ever. Went there at lunchtime, 12noon. Place had been ope n for a while. 3 tables with people at them. No one at the door to greet you, no bar tender, no wait staff... after 10 minutes of waiting I went to the door to the kitchen area and said that there were a 7 people waiting to get seated and all I got was a lousy attitude from the one employee who was there. We love Plan B and have visited many times over the past decade. I personally like the homemade potato chips the and loaded chips with blue cheese and bacon. My girlfriend and I had pretty much given up on Plan B after two disappointing visits to the Plan B Burger Bar in GLASTONBURY, both times the Diablo Burger came out super dry, like Sahara-desert dry. But on our way home we decided to give the Plan B Burger Bar in MILFORD a shot, and wow... game changer. Their Diablo Burger was delicious, juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. They are such a quick pick for whenever you are shopping near the Post Mall, because everyone knows where they are but their food ranges from tasteless to good with everything being a wild pick and likely having several people in your party wondering why they came here. Plan B normally never disappoints but tonight it did. Our server Christina was the only highlight of the evening. Our Southern Pulled Pork sliders were dry. My burger was undercooked, bread and bacon was cold. My cheese wasn't melted either. I also thought it was way smaller than usual. The waitress offered to have a fresh burger made but I asked it be put back on the grill. I had not bit into it, just cut it in half. My husband's burger didn't have the correct cheese and his fries were cold. We have come here before for a good meal. I was disappointed this trip. The host did not seem like they wanted to be there at all. The server was nice but after the initial check to see if everything came out alright, there were no other table checks. The ticket times were slower than the last few times we were here, I am not sure why. At least the server should have informed us the food would be out soon or something. The food was as good as usual, no complaints except my bun was crumbling as I ate my burger, which means it was probably under the lamp too long. It is a nice dining area, perfect for what they offer. What prompted the score was I saw at least 6 different staff members walk over a napkin someone dropped on the floor near our table. Ever since we first tried out this place, whenever we find ourselves in the area with some burger cravings, we stop buy. We love the friendly staff and the ambiance of the place. Perfect for larger parties (family size) or if you're trying to do a cute date night since they have varying table sizes. This time we tried out their wings and I got the Philly steak cheeseburger - both were delicious! The Philly steak burger isn't exactly like a Philly cheesesteak however the thin cut strips of meat with mushroom and cheese sauce loaded on top really was delicious nonetheless. Saturday afternoon lunch with my son. He requested burgers and we saw this while driving down Rte 1 in Milford. It had been years since we went to a Plan B Burger, so we decided to give it a try again. Walked in and were seated right away. It was a gorgeous day outside, but freezing in the restaurant. The waitress also agreed it was too cold and said the night before was too hot. We each made our own burger with what we wanted. We ordered medium rare and they came out well done. I'm not a fan of how they clump the meat together rather than making a patty. Much better burgers around in the area. I don't think we'll be stopping by here again anytime soon. read more

We have been going here for 7 years. At the very beginning it was great. We would come often enough that the servers (Tom) knew us. For about 3 ish years it was going great. Right before Covid we noticed things changing. Started with no pickles at our meals and the menu change. After Covid, when everything was back to normal we have been back but less frequently as to the food and service changes have not been pleasant. To my recollection, every time we are seated in the back. Doesn't matter if it's busy or slow. And we have looked at the other patrons and we have several times sat there by our selves as we are the only in that has children. The only time we have seen that different is when the area is closing like tonight. We knew this as the waitress said it loud enough for us to hear. The back area is dark and has an echo that you would get in a cafeteria. You are not in an area that makes you feel like you are not in the same part of the restaurant. The food is sub par. Endless mistakes on our order and lack of seasoning. Macaroni and Cheese is not macaroni and can change. Sounds silly, but with a toddler it can make or break a nice dinner. We thought we would give it another chance and that maybe things have changed but they have not. Don't like having to sit in the "kid" area. Miss the old restaurant and being able to have my toddler devour the pickles that they once had. read more

Today I went out for lunch at my local Plan B Burger in Milford,CT. I have been here before and have enjoyed the macaroni and cheese which tastes like exactly how you would want fancy macaroni and cheese. The fries that have Parmesan on them are the best fries. Lately the burgers are usually really good too with cheese bacon and other toppings. Though today was a different experience. My partner usually only comes here for one thing - the grilled cheese. Note: it is on the kids menu. This grilled cheese is the 3rd best around and that is what made him start coming here more often. He recently visited before the end of 2024 and was able to get the grilled cheese no issue. Today, we were told this was the last time we could get it that way. I myself ordered a kids meal option as well because it was just a light lunch since we were in the shopping area. So, if you do order from the kids meal and are not a child, you may not get it that way. I understand why a restaurant would do this but you know, it changes a lot. Other than that, the atmosphere is always low lighted and at night it looks very nice. It's pretty clean inside along with the bathrooms. Burger was good, fresh juicy meat. I really miss the Plan B in Fairfield so I knew the perfect spot to go to when my dad was craving a burger and we were in the area! I got my favorite - the blue cheese burger: a beef burger with bourbon bbq sauce, caramelized onions and blue cheese. Haven't had this in years and it was perfect! Craving a burger I had high hopes for this place, but it was a big miss. I've come to this location a few times over the years but the last two times have both been misses. We came here on a Saturday night and sat at the bar. We had initially wanted a table of booth but we were told we'd have to wait about 20 mins, odd because we sat at the bar and saw various open tables, they were not reserved. The bartender was friendly and attentive, bar seating was comfortable and spacious. For food I got the breakfast burger and my wife got the Bacon Cheeseburger. My burger was supposed to have some maple aioli on it, did not taste it, my fried egg was small and what really bothers me is the bun. If you're going to charge almost $20 for a burger it better be good. The patty wasn't large either, but back to the bun. It was very crumbly and fell apart, too much bread. Our waiter was nice but service seemed slow. When we came in, took them a good 5 min to seat me even though it wasn't terribly busy. I will say, they walked by me many times and at least kept saying that they would be right with me. They have a decent selection of craft beer. The jalapeño poppers were really good but our burgers were average. I got the Baja burger because it had avocado on it and the tiny wedge they gave didn't cover the sandwich. If they had sliced it thinly or mashed it and out it on, it would have been better than one solid wedge. The fries are identical to McDonald's but not as good. The burgers were bad, no texture and the buns were crumbly, too bready and falling apart. Husband got the breakfast burger and I got the bacon cheeseburger both were supposed to have aiolis on them but weren't detectable. He didn't even notice the egg on it since it was so small. I thought the bartender was cool and friendly, not his fault the food sucks. Also, I'm sure the hostess is confused about the seating and all that and causing the place to loose money since so many people were waiting for tables that were cleared and available. 50% capacity or less. The smell was overwhelming. My burger was way overcooked and dry (I ordered medium rate and got very well done). The burger fell apart and while the pretzel bun was fresh, I didn't enjoy it at all. I usually don't leave bad reviews even if my experience was HORRIFYING while dining but this deserves light. The "hostess" upon entering didn't offer to seat me at a table or bar. I instead was confused while stating, "I guess I'll just sit at the bar?!" As I made my way to the bar, the "bartender" was unwelcoming and also rude when I said I would be dining alone. It seemed like the manager caught her rude greeting and picked up her slack letting me know, "We'd be happy to have you!" So after ordering a MEDIUM temperature burger, my food comes out but more on the medium well side. When I asked the bartender is Medium considered to have pink at the venue, she nastily told me yes. I was confused because I clearly ordered medium. Moving forward to her then nastily telling me she would bring it back to recook. I was already halfway done with my burger at this point considering she NEVER came back to check on me. It escalated to her feeling comfortable enough to yell out to me all the way across the bar which was at this point unprofessional and distasteful. Management did little to nothing to neutralize her behavior which I assume prompted her to purchase my meal which I didn't even want her to do at this point. I also came for brunch the other morning, and since that's my most recent visit I'll go into more detail about that: Ordered the eggs benny, which game on english muffins with potatoes.
