My family and I visited Dockside because we heard they were decked out for the holidays, and we weren't disappointed! The decorations were beautiful, and we couldn't believe how many options there were on the menu. We ordered a bunch of shareables, and everything we had was delicious! I couldn't believe how good their pizzas were too, and how unique some of their speciality pies were. I decided to try this spot. As we were celebrating my girlfriend birthday. She loves any place with water views and outside sitting. I had the aha tuna poke bowl. It was pretty tasty. But it's important to cut the tuna in cubes. There were some pieces. That were not cut correctly. It made for an uncomfortable chew. The oysters were salty, brimy and fat. The ambiance was lit. And the customer service was excellent. You have an option of reserving a cabana at no cost. You also have an option of the beach view. You sat at tables where your feet were in sand. The clam chowder should be skipped at all costs. Parking looks fairly good, might be difficult when busy. The food was very good and enjoyed by all in my party. They do have a rule for groups that I don't love, which is parties of 6 or more get one check and a 20% gratuity automatically added on. The scenery, the boats, the decor and the food all matched! Just amazing summer fun! The drinks were fruity and bright, the food was light and lobstery and the views were very relaxing. I honestly enjoyed the whole experience. We loved the summer nachos with lobster and sweet chili sauce, and there famous Philly steak egg rolls!! My favorite was the Ahi Tuna Nachos with fresh avocado, fried wonton chips and sauces of sriracha and cucumber wasabi drizzled lightly on top. We literally had the perfect weather to eat outside and there's like 10 different sections to choose from. Upstairs is a bar, there's a middle deck, and then there's outdoor picnic tables with umbrellas everywhere too. Cabanas and a fire pit were other seating areas as well. When planning my trip to Connecticut, I'd seen several people recommend Dockside so I stopped in while in town. Truthfully, I was thinking the place had more seafood, when the menu is a bit more bar food adjacent. Nonetheless, the seafood they did offer was delicious. My family tried the swordfish sandwich, the ahi tuna, the baja shrimp wrap, and the famous philly egg rolls. Everything was truthfully delicious, including the truffle fries we got as a side. Our server was great, very kind and informative. They were busy but so fully staffed that our experience was still quick and efficient. My man had one of their beers which he said was very good. I had two mimosas which were great! I had the cheeseburger egg rolls. They were a good snack. As you'd expect, the beer selection is massive. They have their own beer on tap but also a ton of guest breweries. Food is also more than you'd expect. Dockside was amazing! I had never been, but my family are big fans (especially the discerning ones...) At first glance, I thought it was just typical American fare. But the food, service and location were amazing. Even the parking was ample and easy. We had a large, complicated group (we were there with my special needs daughter and 2 of her therapists.) They were cheerfully accommodating. I had the Ahi tuna salad, it was delightful. They managed to make the wasabi drizzle delicate and the salad was just a perfect complement. My daughter had the Poppin' Rockin' shrimp, omg, so good! I wouldn't have thought to put pickled onions and peanuts with this, but it was such a yummy mix of flavors. Hubs and the rest had various fish taco selections. By all accounts it was all great. We even ordered a side of steamed broccoli (not on the menu) and it was perfect. I realize I must sound like I am being paid for this review, I promise I'm not. But honestly, that broccoli (which everyone helped themselves to, even the haters!) was so good, it sparked a conversation about how everyone likes properly cooked broccoli, but it just wasn't what we grew up with... I was born and raised in Milford, but live down the coastline a bit now. It is great to see Milford is attracting great quality restaurants. Dockside Brewery is one of them! Lobster rolls are my go-to summer indulgence. They epitomize a New England summer for me, and I often order them when dining out during the warmer months. For me, a good warm-style Connecticut lobster roll hinges on two main factors: the quality of the lobster meat and the bun it's served on. I'm firmly on team hot dog bun roll - nothing beats that perfect balance of buttery lobster nestled in a soft, toasted hot dog bun. A round bun just doesn't cut it for me when it comes to enjoying this quintessential treat. Having said all that this lobster roll was good. I especially appreciated how well the bun held up, even after I drenched it in the extra melted butter they provided. Some of the lobster meat I first ate was a bit chewy. Although the remainder of the lobster meat were not. The fries were cooked perfectly. The meal I believe came with cole slaw which they forgot so I asked for it. Glad I did because it was also good. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his salmon burger. Instead of fries, he opted to upgrade to a tri-color pasta salad for just an additional $1. The portion was generous and the salad was quite flavorful. They also offer a nice selection of cocktails and a wide variety of beers. I had the "Kiss and Tell." A light cocktail made with Grey Goose vodka, strawberry essence, strawberry fruitful (that's what the menu says?) pink lemonade and seltzer. It was a refreshing cocktail. The views of the marina were spectacular, and combined with the outdoor comforts, it made for a delightful lunch experience. They offer three outdoor dining areas, along with an indoor space that is well air-conditioned, featuring a large bar and the brewery stacks behind glass doors. read more

It's huge with all kinds of seating--inside, outside, on the porch--plus an awesome view of the marina that makes you feel like you're on vacation even if you're just grabbing dinner. We kicked things off with the big Bavarian pretzel and it was awesome, but the spicy mustard that came with it might've stolen the show. Seriously, I'd dip just about anything in that stuff. Beer selection is solid. I asked for a sample before ordering and got a bit of a side-eye from our waitress, but she still brought it over and I ended up with a great pint, so no harm done. It does get a little loud, but the energy is fun and super family friendly. We had a great time. The food was tasty and the portions were no joke--my fiancée and I both had to tap out and ask for to-go containers. All in all, Dockside hits the mark.
