Solid choice in Milford for good food, friendly staff and all around good experience. The one thing is they are consistent. My friends and I frequent here on occasional Tuesdays for trivia night (starts by 7pm) and all of our food choices have never disappointed. I often get something different each time but you can't go wrong with salads, sandwiches, burgers or entrees. They have a seasonal special menu which includes drink/app and entree choices for the season: very creative/festive. Parking can be a bit difficult but street parking nearby is available and usually the adjacent town/recreation building is unoccupied and I have parked there with no issues.

A great place to meet friends for a casual dining experience. There are tables and booths inside and outdoor seating for the nicer weather. Apparently, Bonfire is owned by the same folks as Founders House and Bridge House. I ordered the Mac and Cheese and added lobster to it (Friday Lenten meal). They do give large portions of lobster if you opt to add it on. (One piece still had the cartilage on it, which was a bit frustrating.) My friend eats gluten free and there were a few options on the menu. The service checked in pretty often. There's not much parking available in their lot, and if you're not a Milford resident you can't park in the lot next door or on certain side streets, so be advised to get there early to find a space on a side street or in Bonfire's lot if you're not from Milford. A good experience, overall.

This cozy spot never disappoints. We usually stop in during the week for lunch and cocktails and this time we had the pleasure of visiting during the weekend for their brunch specials. We tried the chicken and waffles and brunch breakfast plate Everything was delicious The waffle was crispy and crunchy and not too sweet . The chicken was juicy and tender This plate was tough to beat ! Plus the presentation of it It was sprinkled with fruity pebbles Although an odd choice it totally worked Totally wowwwww by the this plate The breakfast plate was also a hit The picture speak for themselves Great job guys and we will be back

Huge portion sizes for the price. Delicious food! My husband had the bang bang chicken sandwich and sweet potato tots- the tots are a need to try if you're on the fence! I had the southwest salad with chicken- chicken was cooked perfectly (not dry), and it was just a full, delicious salad. Kids had the Mac n cheese and the. Chicken fingers- both were so big they looked like adult portions! Our server was the sweetest (I'm terrible with names)! We were just passing through but we would definitely come here again if we had the opportunity!

This place has become a go-to Tuesday lunch tradition. The beach vibe, mixed with a warm atmosphere lends itself well to the fresh fare offered daily. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted at the door, seated quickly. You'll be tempted with a daily burger special being in addition to the fish of the day. The food is fresh, delicious, and fairly priced. The portions are large, so be warned: you'll have leftovers. Oh! And if you're gluten free, the buns here are awesome.

Bonfire Grille is a grill and bar that opened in Milford, Connecticut in May 2018. It was founded by restaurateur partners Robert Cyr and Frank Basile. Cyr (who has had a long time passion for hospitality and libations) had previously been a general manager of a California Pizza Kitchen while Basile is a graduate of Johnson and Wales. In 2016, the duo were offered a partnership at the Milford-based gastropub Bridge House. Following the success of that partnership, Cyr and Basile decided to open Bonfire Grille in the Woodmont section of Milford. The menu consists of beach fare, burgers, sandwiches, salads, bar bites, craft beer, signature cocktails and handpicked wines. In May 2020, Cyr and Basile opened Founders House Pub & Patio in downtown Milford. My wife and I recently had lunch at Bonfire Grille. We were meeting her uncle who lives in the area. My wife had visited Bonfire Grille a couple of times before and had raved about it. The interior was very clean and we loved the nautical themed decor. We all started off with an appetizer of "Frickles" (juicy and crunchy pickles, battered and fried to perfection, served with chipotle aioli and ranch dressing) which were very good! For our entrees, we all decided to get various chicken sandwiches. I had the "Crispy Bang Bang Chicken Sandwich" (crispy chicken tossed in a zesty sriracha mayo topped with sliced pickles and shaved cabbage slaw), my wife had the "Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich" (smothered in Nashville hot sauce, pickles, hot honey aioli and topped with mango relish on a brioche bun), and her uncle had the "California Chicken Sandwich" (grilled chicken breast topped with Monterey Jack cheese, applewood smoked bacon, chunky avocado, lettuce, tomato and chipotle aioli). Everything was excellent! We had a great experience at Bonfire Grille and look forward to returning!

    Twin lobster rolls

Another lobster roll but these were not like the others. So moist and sweet with a little butta to make it better with 'mo' butta on the side to slater if so inclined. I was so inclined. Twin lobster tails, dynamite salty fries, and a generous "side" salad for $35. A great price considering I've paid that for one roll that wasn't as good. The bun was slightly toasted and held up to the warm buttered lobster. The salmon burger had an asian twist with a ginger miso mayo. My husband really like it. Served with the same taste fry basket. The restaurant has two outdoor dining areas. A patio outside street level that has a good privacy wood fence. The is an indoor/outdoor bar where patrons can sit. The rooftop dining has several tables under a canopy with views of the Sound. The interior has a nautical theme. The special drink of the day unknown to me was made with Truly. a Pineapple Mango frozen cocktail. I didn't realize it was a hard Selzer because I wouldn't have ordered it. Those hard Selzer, beers, are "headache in a can." It was super sweet as well. The Ranch was very good, I don't know if it was homemade but either way it was very good. If we weren't looking to visit more New England restaurants to try their lobster rolls, I'd return. The ambience was very nice, and the food was good.

Have wanted to try this place for a while and today after the beach we got it. Atmosphere is a quant beach grille but clean, not to crowded. Enough space to feel good and enough going on around you to entertain you. Food was great. I had the short rib chill as an app. The bonfire burger which was delicious. My wife had the California chicken sandwich. We get our meals without bread so the pictures may not be representing what you would get. Everything was fresh, tasty and I have to complement the sauces. Looks like they make them on their own. We had barbecue, chipotle and ranch Bretten the two of us and mixed and matched them. We will return soon.

Still great in 2025!…read more Had the jamming burger specials with the yummy jammified onions and they satisfied the burger craving without fault. The pretzel bites were also salty and bready nuggets of deliciousness. Service was great and friendly! It doesn't have a particularly great look outside or inside (mostly a bar with some tall tables and several large screen tvs) but they are consistently good with their flavorful offerings, which is what matters most.

The restaurant wasn't busy so we sat at the bar to watch football. We ordered wings and the special tacos of the day which were eye of the round tomatillo tacos with pico. We get the buffalo sauce and cajun dry rub on our wings which were 5 stars. The tacos not so much. For $15 the three tacos were tiny, 3 pieces of eye of the round on two tacos, 4 on third. The pico was tomatoes with a tiny piece of jalapeno and onion in water, weird. The tomatillo sauce was ok, but not the best. We LOVE this place but these tacos missed the mark. Service was good. At the end, Lauren took over. She was friendly and introduced herself to us and others at the bar. She mostly cashed us out, but we liked her friendliness. Go with confidence, it's a great local bar/restaurant with good, friendly service.

While browsing online I saw a listing for a beachfront hotel in Connecticut that was known to our family before new owners took it over a few years ago. The Surfside Hotel took what had been Marnick's Motel and upgraded it in the past few years. Attached to the Surfside is The Little Pub. My hope was that the Pub might serve us well as we selected a venue for our gathering. I spent the night earlier this month at Surfside and had dinner at the Pub. Service was excellent, the bar was well-stocked, and the dining area had real charm - aided in part by a nice fire in the stone fireplace. Drinks were reasonably priced and promptly presented. I started with the New England clam chowder and found it piping hot and very tasty. I had the beef fajitas - more than I could finish but nicely seasoned and again, right-off-the-grill hot. My visit was a good one, and it seemed from the vibe the bar patrons love the Little Pub. I can understand their positive attitude. Things to keep in mind: brunch is served starting at 10 a.m. but only on Saturday and Sunday; otherwise, the pub opens at 11:30 a.m.; the bar may be open after 9 p.m. depending on the day.
