Back again post-COVID and the tap room is open! Tried a new test brew... Coffee Cherry Tart. YUCK. . Gotta give them points for tryin' though.

Winnings from a raffle Athletic Brewing Company donated to for MS! They went above and beyond! So excited!

Athletic Brewing Company deserves a shout out on all platforms. They specialize in yummy nonalcoholic beer, which is perfect for me to drink when I don't want to get buzzed or want to pace myself. I was a part of a local event for charity, a bike ride for MS, a couple weeks back. The event itself was very fun and I used my Segway instead of a bike (bikes don't fit in my trunk!) and we went to multiple local beer spots at the beaches. Athletic Brewing Company helped sponsor the event and donated multiple baskets. I won a raffle with a headband, hat, brew, game, $100 GIFT CARD, and even a banana! I was able to use the gift card however I wanted on merchandise or brews or a mix. I picked out $120 of merch before tax including a Yeti coozie, Cotopaxi backpack and chalk/small Fanny pack style bag. I was fully ready to give my credit card for the difference, but the manager said absolutely not, and shipped it out. He said he was also including a variety pack of the brews for me to try out. I was thinking I might get a six pack. He sent me SIX 6-packs! I just can't get over how above and beyond this company went with their donation and how they made me a customer for life. I can't wait for my first hike with my new gear and NA beer!

This is my favorite brewing company, hands down, alcoholic or non-alcoholic. The beer tastes great and it's made by great people who you want to support. What could be better?

This place is everything you want in a brewery and nothing you don't. First off, the beer: it's stupidly good. Like, annoyingly good. The kind of good where you go in thinking, "I'll just try one" and then three flights later you're googling if it's socially acceptable to move into a brewery. Their IPAs actually taste different from one another (shocking, I know), the stouts don't drink like liquid bread, and even the lighter stuff has actual flavor. It's witchcraft, and I'm here for it. The vibe? Top tier. Inside feels like hanging out in your cool friend's garage--if your cool friend also had a professional brewing setup and knew what the hell they were doing. Outside, the beer garden is basically Milford's adult playground. Add in food trucks and you've got yourself the perfect Saturday. The staff? Friendly, quick, and actually seem like they enjoy being there. Do you know how rare that is? I've been to breweries where the bartender looked like I asked them to solve long division just by ordering a pint. Not here. At Tribus, they get it right. Bottom line: If you're looking for a place where the beer slaps, the vibe's relaxed, and you won't get ignored like a ghost at a bad Mexican restaurant (ask me how I know), Tribus is it. 11/10, would recommend, and will absolutely keep coming back until they name a beer after me.

First opinion was not positive as there are three doors with signs on them and a good amount of junk on the outside, so curb appeal was lacking. We went in, weren't greeted, but greeted the brewery-tender. He doesn't say anything really, doesn't welcome us, or offer to tell us about the brewery even though we share its our first time. The place is clean, with darts, and board games (in disrepair). The Rangers have just started playing, first period. I ordered a white wine, hubby a citra session ipa. Hubby thought the beer was great, however served with a 2" head so not as exciting. Quickly after arriving, a family arrived with a bunch of kids who treated the place as a McDonalds play space. No one said a thing as they ran crazy, throwing darts, and just being kids on a playground, yelling and screaming. Eventually, another group comes in, most likely owners as nothing was rang up, and kiddo was behind bar playing on POS system, but suddenly the bartender was friendlier, and the parents asked the kiddos to chill. This brewery can't grow with this experience to new customers. Dockside is only in their fifth year, they run like a well oiled machine. Plus side for this small brewery, it was clean, wine was not bottom barrel but a good choice, and hubby very much liked the beers. When we arrived, the bartender was watching the hockey game. The board games were all in disarray. I personally fixed most of them, because we were looking for something to challenge each other with besides drinking lol. Maybe in down times, fix things up. Overall, if not for the very rambunctious kiddos running and screaming, we would rate it a four. Today I can't. Six years in business and not growing, your beers are great, wine is better than most, but atmosphere is a playground. Another tip is to provide ice. Water provided is warm. Go check them out as beer and vino are good.

The two are both Milford residents and originally met when both of their daughters played on the same softball team. Willett had been a fan of craft beer for some time and eventually started homebrewing. Candido had originally only drank macro brewery offerings like Bud Light, but soon converted to craft beer after trying Willett's homebrew. Willett began entering his beer into homebrew competitions and eventually beat out 40 other contestants at a contest in Stamford. Eventually Willett and Candido decided to join forces and open their own brick and mortar brewery: the first one to open in Milford which now has a growing craft beer scene. It is their mission to produce great-tasting quality beer for local beer drinkers. Most of their offerings are named after points of interest in Milford. I first visited Milford Point Brewing in March 2019. I devoted that day to trying out some new breweries in the area that I hadn't visited yet. Milford Point was my last stop of the day. They have a cozy taproom in a business park and most of the clientele seemed to be locals. I sat at the bar and ordered a flight of four which consisted of "06460" (Citra Session IPA), "Silver Sands" (IPA), "West Shore" (Double IPA), and "Settlers Stout" (Milk Stout). The Silver Sands IPA was my favorite of the flight and I purchased a four-pack of cans to take home. Milford Point makes a nice addition to the city's craft beer scene.

The bartenders and servers were attentive and friendly while making great suggestions. We got the nachos with pulled pork (they had run out of brisket **sad face**) and the portion was MASSIVE. The picture I included was after 4 adults already ate some of it. The only downfall is when the band started playing, it was WAY. TOO. LOUD. You literally had to shout to the person next to you, even though we were a good distance away. It might help if they put the band in the far end next time and not in the main corner. Other than that, good service, good food, good drink, good times! P

What a fantastic place!…read more Right on the water in Coastal Connecticut just east of New Haven, with ample outdoor seating, Stony Creek Brewery is an ideal summer-time destination for excellent craft beer and a solid/creative menu of pub fare. We were here for an event: The start and finish of Bikes & Beers 2024 (Brandford, CT). Bikes & Beers tours the country year-round, offering cycling events that revolve around--you guessed it--breweries. Over the last few years, we've enjoyed weekends away across New England when they come to our corner of the country. Their events are very well organized and fun, with a portion of the proceeds going to local charities. Plus, there's beer! After our 30-mile ride in and around Branford, we joined the other riders for the after-ride event at the brewery for food and fun. That's the formula for all Bikes & Beers events. Back to Stony Creek Brewery. As I said, the setting is idyllic for a warm, sunny summer day. However, you'd find limited indoor dining/drinking space on a rainy day. I enjoyed their seasonal IPA (the only beer I drink) and found it exceptional. My better half had the grilled chicken sandwich to satisfy her hunger while she ordered a chili dog for me. IT WAS HUGE (and delicious). We didn't get to try the other interesting items on their menu, but our fellow riders said good things about theirs. Plus, a permanent guest food truck serves wood-fired pizzas that look and smell fantastic. My mouth is watering as I write this. I'm not sure when we'll be back, but we bookmarked this location so we can have a similar bikes & beers experience on our own someday. We liked it that much!

The biggest highlight was easily the beer selection. The variety was impressive, with a wide range of styles that made it easy for everyone in our group to find something they enjoyed. Whether you prefer something light and crisp or something a little more bold, they seem to have a beer that fits the mood. Food was honestly the weaker part of the experience. It was fine and did the job, but it was not particularly memorable. Nothing was bad, it just did not stand out compared to how strong the drink program is. Service was excellent. The staff were extremely kind and attentive throughout the event. Even with a busy crowd watching the game, they stayed friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience feel welcoming. The ambiance is where Two Roads really shines. The brewery space is large, lively, and perfect for group gatherings. Watching a game there with a room full of fans creates a great energy, and the open brewery atmosphere gives the place a fun and social feel. Four stars for a brewery that delivers great beer, great service, and a lively place to watch a game, even if the food is not the main attraction.
