Found this local eatery on TikTok and the office loves to support local! The office has been silent for at least 30 min due to chewing. Make sure you have napkins. These portions are HUGE! The seasonings and toppings are fresh and flavorful. We will definitely order again. I went to pick up the order to check out the place and was greeted by name (it was a big order) and then the owner helped carry everything out to the car. He repeatedly thanked us for the business and I think if you are in the area or want to try something out of your area, Heffer Stratford is worth the trip! read more

Went here for some takeout. There are a few tables inside but takeout seems to be the main business. Parking is OK but it might be a bit dicey at times. This business is in the center of town close to the train station so it can be a very busy area at times. I had a hotdog which was quite good, I also tried a chicken sandwich which was really excellent (I can't wait to have another one). The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. Nice roadside food stand type of place. I had a dog and the heffer burger. They were both good! The main reason for 4/5 stars is that the burger just had too much of the additions, which you can see in the photo. The mark of a good smashburger is the burger itself, and the additions add different flavors and balance. Heffer has a great burger (and they use Martin's potato buns ), but the quantity of burger sauce and the bacon-onion jam was so high it shadowed the burger, and put the fat ratio way out of balance. With a beef patty, cheese, burger sauce, and bacon-onions, there's gotta be some acidic element to balance it out, even if it's just a few pickle slices. read more

It's was ok, wish the burger had less toppings on it and the bread was soggy from so much sauce but it tasted decent. The staff were very friendly though, and place was clean. I'm not sure if I would return I was a bit disappointed when the burger fell apart as soon as I picked it up. read more

Le sigh. I really hate to give this place such a low rating. We went and visited on a Sunday and it was busy! We both got burgers, split a bag o fries, 3 chicken tenders and they had cornbread donuts so got those. They gave us free lemonade because of the wait which was very nice. Now onto the food. Fries were good, chicken tenders pretty standard. Loved hot honey that came with the tenders. The cornbread donuts with honey butter my partner tore up. The problem came down to the burgers. They were big. Weirdly shaped. And don't get me wrong there's nothing worse than overcooked dry burger but the center of mine was legit raw. Bummer for a place whose focus is on burgers. Not sure we will be back but hoping they work the kinks out. read more

Heifers was really pleasant surprise! Got here and we're just a little caught off guard with the parking situation as it was very tight and not many spots available. Drove around three times and finally found a spot. Walked in and was greeted by a vivacious young man who was eager to take her order. We found this place because of the gift certificate. We got from Webe 108 and we figured let's try it. They offer smash burgers, chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, spicy chicken sandwiches, fries, spicy corn, hotdog and other fast food options options. We ordered the double Smashburger and an order of tenders with fries and their side of corn as well as one regular lemonade and a strawberry lemonade. The first thing delivered to our table with a lemonades, and they were actually delicious... The strawberry lemonade had actual chunks of strawberry in it, very tasty. We did wait a little bit for a meal, but it didn't arrive delivered to the table in a bag and everything is in wonderful Brown recyclable containers, an absolute score for me! The Smashburger was probably the biggest Smashburger I had ever seen, and had I known it was this big, I would've opted for the smaller single patty, Smashburger. It was juicy, it was tasty, but quite messy and did require a double wipe with every bite, but regardless, it was well worth it given how it tasted. The chicken tenders were nicely cooked, very moist, and nicely seasoned. The portions were extremely generous, and the tenders came with an accompanying two sauces, a rémoulade off sorts and a hot honey sauce both which were very good. The french fries were delicious, thin, crispy, and lightly seasoned. Heffer's is not a healthy meal by any means, but I have to say it was very satisfying and really hit the spot. If you're into smash burgers, I will definitely tell you that this is probably one of the best ones I've ever had in terms of flavor and size, so don't be shy and give this place a try! Heffers chicken is very very good. If you're watching calories fried chicken may not be your go to but Heffers makes it with white chicken tenders that are moist and require no skin. So a better choice than chicken thighs or drumsticks. The breading is delicious, crispy and flavorful. The sauces are tasty as well. The onion rings are terrific and there's more than enuf in one order for two people! Add the welcoming feeling and enuf seating for a lunch group in an immaculate environment and you won't be disapppointed. Outstanding smash burger with perfect caramelized onions and bacon ( special recipe), cheese and tomato on brioche bun. Single is big and all you need and the fries are delicious and well seasoned. Heffer consistently has the most friendly staff and the best chicken sandwich I've had. The potato roll makes the crispy breaded chicken have a great crunch to bread ratio and trust me, it's amazing! I personally get the rodeo burger but with the chicken, it's a little spicy but omg so good. I brought my kids after a quick visit to two roads and we found our post two roads spot. The fries alone are amazing, but the service has been above and beyond! The guy working the counter was super nice to my kids answering their questions and hooking them up with crazy straws, and he went way above and beyond to make sure they were having fun while we waited for our food. He even rushed an order of fries to give the kids something to snack on while we waited. The food is awesome and we will definitely be back! read more
