I go to Larry for my nails, he always does a great job and never disappoints me. He is gentle and always on time when I make an appointment with him. Pricing is better than most places and they have a lot of good colors to pick from. I have tried multiple nail Salons and my nails always seem to break off, I have never had that problem at PK. read more

Louie is sooo talented his nails are art. I can bring him any idea for my nails and he can either copy it or can make them look better.

First off let me start by saying they are RUDE ! every time I go there I feel unwelcomed . This time I went and the whole place smelled disgusting like nasty left over fish. Gave me a terrible headache . I went for a full set and a pedicure. The young man that was doing my nails did them absolutely TERRIBLE . They are so thick and all my fingers curve. I asked him to fix them and he told me because my nails are long they curve. Which is wrong because I've went to plenty of places and get them long and they do not look like that. For the rest of the time he avoided me and didn't even offer to fix it . I was told my toes were dry and they slipped on my sandals and messed up my toe paint and DID NOT offer to fix that either. I told him i was only going to pay for my toes which were 20 I handed him an 100 dill expecting 80 back and he only gave me 40 and when I asked where my money was all the employees were yelling saying I had to pay . Worst nail salon ever I just moved to this side of town I was looking for a nail salon to get my nails done I asked for a simple black tips the girl that did my nails was super quiet couldn't make any conversation with her I let her do her thing or maybe she needed to concentrate she did my toenails fine but when it came time to do my hands she seemed Clueless I asked for black tips squared simple right wrong she did my nails I told her where the bubbles going to go away she said no I asked her to fix it she said she would polish a pink and I said will that help she didn't answer she proceeded to paint over my nails with black polish now when you look at my nails in the light it's not even even it's two different black black nail acrylic and then black polish just horrible thick Lumpy and my fingers were bleeding I never give bad reviews but don't go there waste your money read more

TERRIBLE! They only take cash or check. Which is fine but when i call and say I have never been there before shouldn't you inform me I need to bring cash.... A man named Peter did my nails...... They turned out super thick and chunky, looked nothing like the picture I showed him. None of my nails were even the same length. It was like a mountain of White acrylic on my nails. I was literally embarrassed of my hands. I wanted to take them off immediately. I waited 2 days and they had basically all started lifting. I went to another salon hoping that someone could fix them. They had to be removed which was pretty unpleasant. The staff is rude and not friendly at all. The Salon its self is very dirty and outdated. I assume their couches came over on the Mayflower. I was there for 2 and a half hours for a full set and a pedi, That is ridiculous, i wasted my Saturday. The Pedi also sucked. I wasted money on this shit hole of a Salon. read more

Definitely impressed with how my nails were did here : ) Just moving back to the Concord area, I was on the lookout for a new nail salon to get my mani and pedi's on. So, with the research and help of Yelp, this place came up with the most decent reviews, which is what lead me right on over. Definitely not in the most glamorous area of Concord and certainly nothing impressive inside the shop, but I certainly walked out with a more than an impressive shelac mani and pedi. The young guy who did my nails paid an extreme close attention to detail and really did a fantastic job. I got the Shelac mani and a reg pedi. They really have an excellent selection of shelac colors to choose from compared to most, However, I just with they had a darker red : ( Overall, they were a tad pricey however, I was greatly impressed with my nails and they guy who worked on my nails was super sincere and friendly. read more

Not too thrilled about this spot. I came in on a Monday to get an acrylic fill. I read the reviews and thought to give it a chance since I was nearby. I wasn't sure of prices, but when I seen the list on the wall, it was listed at $15 & up. Not too bad! I called in advance to make sure there was availability because I hate waiting. They said they had time and to come in. But when I got there.. They had me wait 10 minutes. And the guy who ended up doing my nails was the same guy that was just standing outside... There was minimal talking, very impersonal. Some people like this, but not even a how's your day at the least. There were smokers outside and the door was open. The whole time there I could smell the lingering smell of cigarettes. Not the best aroma therapy. The actual work on my nails isn't anything to be impressed by. My nails needed some TLC because of the wear and tear since my last fill. And they def didn't get that here. The original color I picked he said wouldn't "work" so I chose another. I wanted a very simple design on just my ring fingers. He continued to tell me why he couldn't do it and said he'd do his own. I didn't like it. He ended up taking it off. The paint job on my nails is not smooth at all. Lumpy and streaky. AND two of my nails are crooked! The place got busy. You can tell who goes there on a regular basis because of the way they treated them vs the new customers, aka me. I would NOT recommend this place to others. But gave it 2 stars because you get what you pay for. read more

I've been going to PK nails for about 6 months now (give or take) for my acrylics. I went based off their reviews here because I am super picky about my nails when it comes to them lifting. I don't pick at my nails, so if they lift after a week on their own then I am not a happy camper. I made my first appt & it ended up being with Bebe... & I have gone to her every 2-3 weeks since. My nails will go 3 weeks easily without lifting AT ALL. She listens to me, does them exactly how I like them & has never tried to up-sell me on anything... In fact, she's talked me out of stuff because she knew I wouldn't like it after a while (I tend to be a plain Jane). I saw another person there once, when Bebe was on vacation & he did an excellent job too. Everyone is always nice... but they are super busy 99.9% of the time, so not always the most talkative. I always make an appointment & the most I have ever had to wait is 15 minutes. read more

I used to love this place but a few months ago my friend and I had a bad experience. I had called 2 days ahead to plan an appointment and I scheduled it for around 11. My friend and I got there 2 days later at our scheduled time and one of the employees informed me I did not have an appointment for that day. Slightly embarrassed because my friend was with me I told him my friend and I did and showed him I called 2 days previous. We both were able to get our nails done but it we had to wait an extra 15 minutes because of their mistake. I almost feel they didn't want me their because of a previous incident involving me getting my nails done and not liking them. I asked them to remove them the same day because I thought they were done horribly. One of the girls there said rudely if you didn't like them before you should have said something. No offense but I did say something and I even offered to pay to get them removed on top of the service because I felt so bad. Fortunately the owner was nice enough to not charge me. I did however leave a tip. Sad to say but I had gone here for at least 2+ years and it's been 5 months since I've been here. I'm happy to say I found a new nails salon in WC who does a fabulous job and my friend and I love. (The girl I went with here took me to this salon.) sorry PK I won't be looking back! read more

I usually don't waste time writing reviews unless my service was extremely bad or in this case, extremely good. I first came here when I had tried three other nail salons (for gel nails) in Concord. I tried Crystal Nail Salon, BK Nails (by Concord High), and All Perfect Nails (behind Burger King on Clayton). Let me tell you, I was BLOWN away by my manicurist, Larry. He may not try to converse a lot (which I'm either way about) but he is sooooo good! He makes my nails so thin (not to the point of breaking (duh) but so they don't look like huge thick claws). I literally don't need a fill for three weeks if I go to him. Most places by natural nail starts to show in like 1.5 weeks. Him, it's three weeks. Amazing. I don't think they're very expensive when I consider I go there once every three weeks. I would recommend this place an Larry!! He's great! read more

Louie is the reason I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1. He's super gentle, takes his time, and does great acrylics that don't lift. But one morning I walked in on a busy saturday and Kay (the owner) did my pink and white set. I felt like she really rushed through my nails and tried to get me out as quickly as possible. She didn't use a primer (which is essential to be sure the nails last), and got acrylic on my cuticles which caused the nails to start lifting after only 3 days. Such a waste of $40. read more

I absolutely LOVE PK nails. I have been going there for about a year now and I would never go anywhere else . I use to drive 45 min. Just to come get my nails done . They are all equally amazing and they are always willing to do fun and wild nails for me . I believe it's all family owned which makes me like it even more . I went in there to get a fill after I dropped off my oldest one to kindergarten. I had my 1-year old in a stroller playing with his iPad and wanted my black and white tips taken off and replaced with sparkly white tips. I also needed a fill. Mind you, I came in at 10:30 am so they weren't busy. I was concerned with how long it would take because I didn't know how long my toddler would sit in his stroller, and thankfully the staff had 2 people working on both hands at the same time. I was very happy that they got the idea and was appreciative. I was in and out of there QUICK, I think 30 minutes. Make sure to leave a bigger tip when they take the time to do something so considerate. =) read more
