I literally can come here just for the customer service! It's a 10/10. It's a cute coffee shop that sometimes house professionals using the WiFi and enjoying a cool sip. I'm not necessarily a coffee gal but I was influenced by the pretty colors. The male worker with the beard was more than willing to explain the items. Because of him I went with the souther pecan coffee which had the essence of pecans without the sugar which is great for diabetics. I added toasted marshmallow and hazelnut syrup to my cold brew. Not pictured is the cream cheese croissant and a Carmel cold cremé but don't worry. I'll frequent here often and post plenty of pictures with captions for you all to see. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! My favorite things to order are the mochas and beignets. You can't go wrong there. Seasonal drinks are great as well. For Mardi Gras there was a delicious Swamp Attack Energy drink that blew my mind! It was awesome! Walk in and talk to the owner. He's so personable and helpful. He talked to me about their egg bites and helped me decide which ones to order. He explained to me how their scones are unique from your average scone. Clearly, he has helped me make a decision many times. There is a drive thru available; however, there is also a decent amount of parking in this small shopping center. I encourage you to walk in and look at the tasty pastries, listen to the coffee being made, and have that wonderful conversation. You won't be sorry! read more

A bud from New Orleans said that PJ's beignets are legit, and I'm happy to report that they are. I placed an order online for a Fat Tuesday get-together. The online ordering process was very easy, and I immediately received a confirmation email. My beignets and king cake cake balls order was ready when I arrived at my pickup time. The beignets were warm and lightly covered in powder and silky smooth. I loved the oh so sweet cake balls. PJ's beignets were equal to the beignets I've had in New Orleans. I had never heard of PJs Coffee before, but as I passed it on the road, the "of new orleans" sign really intrigued me. Turns out they're a beloved chain from (who would have guessed) New Orleans, and they include a lot of Nola flavors like pralines and bananas foster, etc. I'm a sucker for anything banana flavored, so I had my fingers crossed that their season bananas foster would be on the menu. And the stars aligned because it was! I immediately drove over to get myself a cup. The interior is really pretty and decently spacious. Parking is decent and they have wifi, so I imagine this being a nice place to work. And the servers are so friendly! I ended up also getting some beignets because cmon it's a Nola coffee shop! And also because I really don't know where else in Austin you can even get beignets. And they were so delicious! They come out hot and sugary, but they're still so soft and pillowy. I waited til I got home to eat them and it was still amazing. The doughy layers are so good and so filling. The bananas foster was also delicious. The banana and cinnamon flavors really come through. Won't return after the service we just got. Super bummed because i went the other day and i really enjoyed their coffee! So I told my husband about it and we just went through the drive thru. I always get an iced drink, and my husband ordered it correctly ( I was sitting right next to him) and when we got to the window they handed us a hot coffee. No biggie, we just said oh it was supposed to be iced. Mix ups happen. And instead of just fixing the mistake, the man asked if he was sure that we ordered ice? And my husband assured him he did... which to me was a little weird. Pointing the finger at us like we ordered wrong lol. The man gave my husband a dirty look, like somehow his mistake burdened him.. and when my husband received the new coffee, it was literally the hot coffee, they made by mistake, poured over ice (picture attached). You can completely taste the difference. I gotta tell you, I'm a former barista and this would NEVER fly anywhere I worked. It tastes gross and loses the entire integrity of the drink. I'm not sure if this place is just too stingy to fix their mistake? Maybe their money is tight and they can't spare a mess up on their end? That's the only thing I can think of to why this would ever happen...So strange. read more

Came here to check out what black coffee they had available and was able to snag myself a praline and cream light roast. Happy that I came here today as they usually don't have a light roast. I've found their medium and dark roasts to be too bitter for my liking. When I arrived at 9am, there was only one person in front of me. Soon, it was my turn to order, which went smoothly and quickly. I was a bit disappointed to learn that they raised their prices slightly since my last visit. A small coffee used to cost $2.92 after tax, but today I paid $3.15. I enjoyed a pleasant conversation with friends. The overall vibe of this place is chill and relaxed. I don't recall any music playing when I was there today, though I think they usually do play something contemporary. Their free WiFi and ample seating make it conducive to get work done. read more

My wife and I went in on Black Friday in order to enjoy something festive and warm before the inevitable hustling and bustling occurred at other stores we were planning to go to. We've been to this location before and we've had pleasant experiences in the past, and this time was also great. I ended up getting the Southern Wedding Cake Coffee drink and my wife chose the Gingerbread Chai Tea Latte. She thought it was good but I really enjoyed the flavor of my drink and would definitely get again. This cafe came up on my Facebook page and we had to check them out. What a fantastic coffee shop! Iced praline latte with vanilla cold foam was the best latte I have ever had and the beignets were amazing. Perfect ratio of powdered sugar to every bite of fried, pillowy goodness. We also ordered an energy drink and a breakfast sandwich. Family loved everything. Highly recommend! We will definitely be back! read more

This place recently opened in Leander, and my son and I wanted to try their beignets. First I want to say that we have come back here at least 3 times, and every time the staff has been nothing, but friendly here. They took the time to explain the variety of drinks and the different combinations of flavors you can add to your beignets. This place is so good, I took my husband who is also now a fan of this place. Just the friendliness of the staff alone is worth the 10-minute drive for us. The drinks are wonderful, and the beignets are fantastic. So would I come back to this place? Most definitely. This place has a great vibe to it, great food and drinks, and a staff who know how to be patient with customers. I recommend everyone try this place too. read more

I have been waiting for this place to open. 10 minutes from home. Noticed yesterday they were open. Not sure when they opened. Sure enough today I was craving some Chicory Coffee. My lucky day, as it was available as their dark roast selection. Under 5 bucks for my large coffee and add on of one of their amazing selection of flavors. You get 7 pumps, I opted for 3. The team was very informative and engaging in conversation. Can't wait to go back and sit in this nice huge cafe or choose drive through. Coffee a bit stronger than I've ever had. My husband and I love PJ's and always visit when we're in New Orleans. I had no idea they had one in Leander! I got a cold chai tea latte, husband got a banana foster cold foam coffee drink. Both were DELICIOUS. I also got an everything bagel with cream cheese and spread and hubs got beignets (which are made fresh!). Both delish. Only reason I took off a star is because I asked for light ice on my chai tea latte and the man making the drinks literally filled my cup up to the tippy top with ice.... Like ok why did you not listen to my instruction? Thankfully I caught him before he poured anything into the cup and asked him for less ice. He poured out a little and showed me and I said less. This happened 2 more times until I got it to like half full with ice... then he said something that seemed like he was trying to talk me out of getting less ice? Idk. But please listen to your patrons when they give their ice preferences. That's something I've noticed MANY coffee shops needs to work on. Also, if you go there to get some work done on a laptop, be aware there are only two outlets and they're only on one side of the wall. Both tables were taken so I was forced to take the lounging couch and have my laptop in my lap so that I was semi close to the outlet if I needed it. read more

No one acknowledged us and the one employee who was visiting kept visiting. We walked out. Went to Summer Moon where the employee acknowledged us and took our order. Husband and I had our maiden visit to this newly opened cafe by our house. I've been anxiously awaiting their opening, as this part of town is needing more cafes. There were a few single patrons seated enjoying a drink and pastry, one doing some work on a laptop. Can't come in? No worries- there's a drive through accessible from the east side of the strip. This is a franchise business originating in Louisiana, which is noticeable with the rich purple logo, and menu items such as beignets and praline and cream roast. We were pleased to see their offering of food items and drinks, which also had an Italian flair in offering granita (think frozen margarita consistency) and keeping bottled Aqua Panna water. I knew my husband would get the s'mores drink, being his favorite dessert. Boy is that sweet! I'd recommend asking for less sweet, unless you want a dessert forward coffee. I got a classic iced vanilla latte with 4 pumps syrup over the usual 6, and I'm glad I did. It was a perfect balance of coffee meets flavor. For bites, we shared the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and the sour cream coffee cake. While it didn't need to be confirmed, you can taste these were freshly made, not commercially produced and thawed from being frozen. The owners of this location were very friendly (as was all of the staff), and we will certainly be back. They did mention their quietness in the first few hours (open at 5am!!), but I'm sure that will pick up as the word spreads. I am looking forward to working my way through their menu, and will proudly be buying some beans to enjoy a quick drink at home. This is my new favorite coffee shop! I usually prefer local places over chains, but I really like this one and can't wait to go back. The main reason I like it so much is just the quality of the coffee itself, and the fact that they have delicious dark roast coffee available! Most places only have light or medium roast, which may be fine if you are getting a sweet dessert drink with flavors and a lot of sugar... but if you are there to actually taste the coffee, their dark roast can't be beat. Try it! Prices are also very reasonable. Service was also incredibly friendly and it's a great place to hang out--small but comfortable. read more

It's my fault for giving this place another try. After speaking to corporate y'all still mess up! The person taking the order at the speaker repeated the order. The person at the window repeated the order. They still forgot to include the beignet bites. I can't blame them really they (all the way to corporate because I've spoken to them too) don't have the brain capacity to get it right. I also should have checked the order before leaving knowing their history. I should have known something was up when they brought the order out way too fast. I ordered two different drinks and both of them are honestly disgusting. I'm an avid coffee drinker and it's usually hard to displease me when trying a new place but this was horrendous. You can't even taste the coffee in either of the drinks it just taste like syrup Sweetener. I asked for an extra shot in one of the drinks and the best way to describe the flavor is that it taste like dirt. I will not be returning here! Starbucks would have also been cheaper! read more

It has been a common lamentation between my wife and I that until recently, everything we could possibly want is within 5 minutes of our house except for a nice coffee shop. When I noticed they were building a PJ's Coffee 2 minutes down the road, I was excited to try it. Today I got to go in for the first time, and was not disappointed! The interior is small but very inviting, and the staff we're all patient and helpful as I navigated a menu that was new to me. I got the bananas foster cold brew, as I love both of those items independently, and decided that seeing them together in one drink was too good to pass up. I got my wife an iced praline and cream latte, and we got some beignets to share, as well as a bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich The cold brew was exceptional - flavorful without being too sweet, and very well balanced. The latte was made well and tasted good, but I think both my wife and I strongly prefer the cold brew. We will know for next time. The beignets were excellent, made fresh on the spot, and truly reminded me of the one time I'd actually been in New Orleans. I have a feeling they're going to become a regular purchase. I admit that I have limited expectations for coffee shop breakfast sandwiches, but this one exceeded them substantially. The biscuit tasted fresh, the egg tasted like egg, and the cheese appeared to be real cheddar. If I had one tiny gripe it would be that I wish the bacon was crispier, but I know there's only so much they can do when preparing these things behind a counter with efficiency. If I need a fix I can go to PJs without driving home 9 hours to Cafe Du Monde. The Cafe au lait was perfect with the right amount of dark roast coffee with steamed whole milk. read more

It's been awhile since my last review of PJ's but I felt like leaving another! That is rare for me. I really love this place, it's NO vibe, the music, love the purple flair. The owners and crew are some of the nicest, sweetest people you'll ever meet. In fact, most of them remember my wife and my fav drinks! I mean, wow! We are just one of many patrons so I am thoroughly impressed. My wife once asked the owners how often they were at the shop. They said everyday and my wife said "no breaks?" She couldn't believe it, but they just care about managing a great place. That is not the case with other coffee houses I have been to around here where someone, perhaps with some money to burn, decides to invest in a coffee shop because they think it's a fun side project and you never see them, and the hired help reflects that. There was one like that in Cedar Park, now changed names. That is not the case here! These are really sweet people in Leander who want to make some great coffee and tasty treats, and I hope others discover this too. Their turkey sandwich paired with a frozen granita coffee and sprinkle of chocolate over whip cream is fantabulous! Not crazy sweet and the sandwich is awesome, as is all their treats. read more
