There were only two tables in the entire restaurant, so it was not as though the staff was overwhelmed or busy, yet both the host and our waitress were rude and unwelcoming. They acted as though they would rather be anywhere else and made us feel like we were an inconvenience for being there. For a special occasion, we expected at least basic friendliness and hospitality, but the service completely took away from what should have been a fun celebration. The food may have been good but the customer service was enough that we would not return. A restaurant can have great food, but if the staff makes customers feel unwelcome it really impacts the entire experience.
