I stopped by Austin Beverage Company after running the Georgetown Half Marathon on Saturday and was seriously craving carbs--specifically a bagel. I was excited to see they offer a full bagel menu with a variety of cream cheese options. I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel (I originally wanted blueberry, but it was sold out) along with cinnamon cream cheese, which really caught my eye. They are very generous with the cream cheese--about a 3-ounce portion--so you definitely get your money's worth. The bagel itself was solid, but the cream cheese is what really made the whole thing shine. I also ordered a latte on the side. They didn't have skim milk, so I went with an almond milk latte with caramel syrup. Unfortunately, the latte just wasn't for me--I only had a few sips before tossing it. I parked across the street and ate in my car, which worked out fine. Despite the drink not being a hit, I'd definitely come back for the bagels and cream cheese alone. read more

I haven't done one of these in a minute, after driving buy and seeing a sign of breakfast tacos I quickly turned around and jumped in line. I get up there's no sign yet for ordering it says order at the window! I pull up and I'm greeted by this kind man and I tell him I saw the sign and I was wanting some breakfast tacos. He tell's me he was "limited" and damn near had every thing for every breakfast taco except potato's and sausage. Lmao, I was like dang he even had corn and flower tortillas, (rare) but anyway I got 3, 2 for me and 1 for my gf. I got 2 (bacon, egg and cheese) and 1 ( chorizo, egg and cheese) all were wonderful. Anyways my girlfriend text me and told me to write this review cause it tasted so good. So now you got a guy and girls opinion! read more

If you want to support a small business with great options, stop by here! The owner is the only person I have ever seen working -- he is quick and you can tell this is his passion. Tried the tacos for the first time today, he makes them himself with some components being homemade and he does not skimp on fillings. I've never had a bad coffee here either! read more

My husband ordered the pumpkin apple cold brew, and it came out super light almost like a tea but tasted like flavored water. I'm hoping it was maybe just a bad batch as cold brew is usually steeped to a really dark brew, but I would assume the worker would have noticed the color being off if that was the case. I was looking for a drive thru coffee shop in GTX that wasn't Starbucks or the other major chains. Amazing service, great cold brew, and also not pictured was a delicious bean and chorizo breakfast taco with spicy salsa! Salsa is made in house, it definitely had a spicy aftertaste that surprised me in the best way. Looks like I found my new coffee spot! read more

Always a fun coffee stop! Dropped by for a couple of their awesom breakky tacos, and tried The Hibiscus iced tea on the new summer menu. When I pulled up to the drive thru window, they saw my dog and and immediately gave him a puppy cup of whipped cream! He's a customer for life! First visit to this coffee shop. Weekday morning so not a lot of customers. Order taker was very helpful and pleasant. Two light roast coffees and two breakfast tacos were ordered with both green and red salsa requested. Order received was accurate. Yeah! The coffee was really tasty but wasn't real hot. Would have been a higher rating if the coffee was hot vs warm. Breakfast tacos were very tasty - eggs, cheese and bacon on one and the second had eggs, chorizo and beans. Very tiny amount of salsa provided - maybe a teaspoon in each container. I understand the economics of providing it but maybe one container instead of two so not using a finger to even get a few drops out of a tiny container while in the car. It really needed the salsa but nuisance to use it. A $5 taco should warrant it. Will try again. Flavor for coffee and tacos is there - maybe just an off day? read more

I been wanting to try this place for awhile so today when I knew I had to down to Round Rock, I stopped by and ordered my normal drink. It's pretty simple and the most that can go wrong is lack of half and half. Not the case here, I ordered my Decaf americano coffee, with a good amount of half and half. The guy working here was very nice and the drink ran just under 7.00.. About the going rate I guess... It was hot, but the after taste was something nasty, like the beans absorbed some scent or the half and half went bad or something. After my 3rd to 5th sip of this nasty tainted tasting coffee, I said Hell No, more so the last sip was the biggest one.. Something is wrong and all I know is a 7.00 drink shouldn't taste anything like this... Sad this is my 1st and last visit. read more

Tried to give local business a boost by trying it and I'm not a fan. Ordered a mocha coffee with an extra shot. Very weak coffee that was overly sweetened with artificial sweetener. Also ordered an iced coffee that had so little coffee it was like brown water. The cost is right up there with chains like Starbucks and way worse quality read more

It is really difficult to tell if they are open and the sign on the window says to ring bell. I went once and just drove off. Decided to give it another try today. I shared the feedback but it's hard to tell it's open, the employee said that they've heard that before, but there's not much more they can do. Ordered a 16oz Vanilla Latte and I basically did a quadruple take to figure out what I got. It tasted like an americano with some skim milk. From what I am reading in reviews they possibly use concentrate vs pulling shots. Unsure but did definitely did not get a latte. Glad I tried it, loved their social media presence. But probably won't be a repeat customer. read more

I have driven through August Coffee on the way to work several times and love their tacos. I have told my husband how good they were so this morning we drove through and waited almost 25 minutes to get to the window to order (there were 5 or 6 cars in front of us but we didn't mind waiting). However, when we got to the window (10:35 am) the lady told us they had "stopped serving breakfast". First of all, I can't find anywhere on their website or on Yelp where "breakfast " hours are listed (they're only open til 2pm anyway) AND their menu just lists "tacos"...NOT "breakfast tacos", and second, this is Texas...tacos are eaten for any meal. Line took 15 minutes just for me and two other people at 7:30am. Over $7 for a medium almond milk latte that was nothing special. Also had no menu posted and I had to read off a tiny sheet. Will not be returning to this local coffee shop. read more

Make this short and to the point. The tacos (egg cheese chorizo) are the best I've ever had. No joke they were legit !!!! The taco bowl was great too. The coffee I could pass on. Large is not Starbucks large but that isn't bad or good just is. Got cold drink tasted like a cold brew or whatever beans they use were not my favorite but tacos are absolutely amazing. Okay so we have tried this a few times. I think the concept is great and the Staff is the BEST!!!! I am just so bummed that they are really small portions of food. I bought 2 breakfast bowls and 2 large ice coffees black. It came to 26.50. Now I would not be complaining but when I saw the size of the bowls I was upset with how small they were and the fact that they were half full. If you're going to charge 8.50 for each bowl I expect more than that for breakfast items. Starbucks should not be able to give more food with less cost. SMH. This place was recommended and I tried to support it because the person who recommended us is down right awesome. Please think about the serving size compared to price and I think I would consider coming back. read more

Interesting concept. I was told by the very nice girl at the window that they use a coffee concentrate for their drinks. So instead of using traditional hot water poured over ground coffee beans, it's a coffee concentrate mixed with water and milk? I've never had this type of coffee so I was very curious. I do like the taste of coffee and use very little to no add ons. She told me that the process reduces the bitterness and gives you more caffeine. I ordered a small latte ($4.50) like I said, I do like the taste of coffee and I could barely taste any coffee in this drink. It was hot and frothy, but barely any coffee taste. She did ask me if I wanted any extra coffee in the drink, but I declined because she said their process gives the drinks more caffeine. I actually wanted to sleep tonight so I said no. I did not finish the drink. It wasn't bad tasting, but it wasn't what I wanted ( coffee flavor) The one thing that really put me off about this place, is as soon as I pulled up to the drive through window, the very nice girl asked me for my phone number to put into their computer device... no thanks... read more

I will start off by saying that we ordered 30 minutes before they closed though this shouldn't dictate the quality of our drinks. We ordered two white chocolate mochas and they tasted like water with a splash of milk and a droplet of coffee. They were so gross and DEFINITELY not worth the $7 that we paid for each of them. We also attempted to order bagels but were rejected as they don't 'do breakfast' that late in the day. I would understand this concept if they were open all day but for a coffee shop that is only open till two, not serving food that is clearly on the menu is strange. Also, the displayed menu had pieces of wood in it and the intercom wasn't working. All this being said, I don't plan on returning and question how this business is still open. read more

I come from the PNW where there's coffee shops on every corner. When I learned that John the owner was also from the PNW I knew he was as serious about his coffee as I was. The neat thing about this shop is they are all cold brew based... not your traditional "espresso" based coffee. With that being said, I was also impressed that there was NO BITTERNESS to their coffee!! I always order my drinks with an extra kick of caffeine, 1/2 the sweetness and less milk. And it's perfect every single time! Hot or cold! I can say the owners (and all the workers) are amazing and want you to have the best experience so if you weren't sold the first time, go back tell them your experience and they will absolutely make it right!!!! Stop giving Starbucks your money and support local!! PS they save all your orders under your phone number so every time you go they can pull up pass orders!! It pains me to write such an awful review but it is what it is. I kept driving by this new local coffee shop all the time and couldn't wait to try it out. Well it was the worst cup of coffee I've ever had in my entire life! Whatever they served me looked like coffee but tasted nothing like coffee!!!!!! I kept seeing the girl over by the espresso machine (I went to the drive through) and when she brought my coffee I said to her "that's a large coffee right" and her reply was YES! I thought maybe they were making me an Espresso or Americana. Perhaps that's what they made but it still didn't taste anything like coffee. Not only was it the absolute worst cup of coffee I ever had but it was also the most expensive I have ever had $4.25 for a large. I really did my best to drink my $4.25 cup of coffee but my taste buds were not having it so I threw it away. read more

Seriously delicious coffee. I had the creamsicle and would recommend. They also have "kids temp" hot chocolate which is perfect! I can get it through the window and my little doesn't have to wait for it to cool. It's also delicious. And the BAGELS. I'm going back for sure! read more

Super great coffee but be prepared to wait. You have to go to the window to order versus placing it at the speaker box, so they can't prepare drinks ahead of time. Prices are a bit higher than the big chains but worth it to support local business. It's located right by the freeway on ramp so it's a very convenient location. read more

The only thing I was missing was some clotted cream or jam to go with the scones! Both our teas did get bitter so I would have liked them to be pre-steeped and strained before they got to the table so they didn't continue to steep if we took our time with the tea. Other than these minor details, I highly recommend this afternoon tea at a great price. The service was wonderful, and super friendly and helpful. It's also in a cute little complex with some other shops as well. Highly recommend!
