We love potbelly! My daughter, grandson, and I have had their sandwiches a few times, but last night was the first time we actually went to eat. We had some errands to run, and it was just the three of us, so we decided to grab dinner. They have their own vibe, which I love. By this, I mean, the music isn't super loud, but it's really good music. It smells amazing. It smells like they smoke their own meat. The sandwiches are always amazing, the people there were really nice, and that goes a long way with me. I was only able to get one photo, because I had a really bad headache, and wanted to eat and go home, but I do have the picture of the shake. I love the cookie they put on the top! My go too sandwich is the wreck. My daughter is pretty picky, and I'm picky about sandwiches too, and we both have made this one of our favorite places for sandwiches. read more

I've been here about 10 time and they make great sandwiches and the Mac and cheese is exactly the type that I like. HOWEVER, I have to call out the tomatoes. I've had good tomatoes from Potbelly, but I've also had several bad tomatoes. And my last visit I had the worst ever. I can't believe the employee would serve this! I've worked in fast food and fast casual and even sub shops and I would never have put a tomato that looked like this on a sub that I made. I like the staff here and it was my favorite places for a quick bite. It was unfortunate that my bread had mold on it! I only noticed after a couple bites. I was feeling queasy all day after that. A first timer here and no complaints on my end. Maybe just a little knit picking but that's a given. This location was perfectly placed in a huge shopping center perfect for a quick lunch after dealing with long lines. Naturally I became hangry and decided to stop by! Pleasantly surprised, staff was kind and ambiance felt like a Texas subway. I choose their specialty and I can't remember the name for the life of me but it was the first one on the menu. I do wish we had more toppings and bread options, but thats just knit picking. Loved the Zapps chips, cookies, and milkshakes that they also offered! Great sub franchise, however, this location ONLY hires teenagers as workers. I've been to several locations over multiple years in multiple cities and this location has to be the worst of them all. Quality does not seem to be an aspect for this location which is unfortunate considering how well the actual franchise is. This was a "go to" spot for my son & I but after multiple negative experiences with this location, the entire franchise is off the list. Was good while it lasted but cheap labor is not the way to go. TLDR: I'm impressed with the sandwiches here. Stopped in today to try the 'Italian' and 'A Wreck'. The reason my guest and I selected these was our doubts that the bread used would hold up under a heavier sandwich filling like meatballs or roast beef. (Case in point: don't ever order a Reuben at a different chain with 'Mike's' in the name.) However, our misgivings were misplaced - this is a sort of toasted hoagie bread, only less spongy and with a little more chew. So I'm holding back on any more stars until I get to come back and try a meatball sandwich. In the meantime, the Italian was a classic capicola, mortadella, pepperoni, salami, and provolone. The "Wreck" was definitely not a wreck of a sandwich as it had a great combo of salami, roast beef, turkey, ham, and Awiss cheese (though I switched it out for provolone). Nicely toasted bread, good meats, and quick service. Definitely worth a re-visit! This place scores a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Great spot for a quick lunch in Cedar Park! It's located in the Parke Shopping Center (Marshall's, Old Navy, Whole Foods, BuyBuy Baby, etc) so it's super convenient to stop here in between shopping. Each time I've been the staff has been super friendly, and my food always comes out tasting great. It's an affordable place to eat and the food always comes out quickly. What more can you ask for! This past visit I tried the new prime rib sandwich, and it was delicious! It's a must try. They give you an ample amount of meat (extremely important), and the bread was nice and toasted. I have no complaints about the food, it was the way the manager decided to charge me. Order: big with ham, salami and pepperoni with lettuce ONLY. Total: $20.10 for this one sandwich. No chips, drink or anything extra. I was stunned and upset when the manager checked me out and they did nothing to rectify the situation nor did they tell me in advance this one sandwich would cost so much. First visit here at this location as I walked in I was greeted.. lady seemed like she did not want to work today (understandable it's Monday) at first I felt like she was not interested in taking our order and was very short as I asked her questions on the menu. Paid $35 for 4 bags of chips 1 drink and 3 original subs price is awesome reasonable price. Taste of food- I got a pizza melt with multi bread I think that I got the wrong bread for this type a sub but sandwich was decent not something that will make me want to come back and eat. A sandwich is a sandwich and this was nothing special, except for the price tag. Wife got the half and half; half sandwich and small cup of soup. I got a ham and cheese. We each had iced tea. The bill was over $17.00. Her sandwich was all of 6 bites (about 3" long) and the broccoli cheese soup was too salty for her to eat. Mine was just "OK" and probably the 6" variety but there wasn't more than 1 oz of ham and a thin piece of Swiss cheese. The buns were supposedly white bread, but were more like panini and after toasting were pretty hard. Atmosphere was good and the staff were very engaging and friendly, but we could have spent less at Subway (where the bread is much better) and gone away full. read more

I give 2 stars because although the food is great and the staff is pleasant, however I've had to walk out twice in the last month/ month half because it smells so gross inside.
