Muhammara
N S.

Very yummy muhammara and warm, fresh pita (not sure if made in house). Nice to be able to have vibrant, tasty, beautiful food from a CP food truck.

We ordered three vegetarian items here! Muhammara, falafel and beets hummus, and market vegetables. My favorite one was muhammara as the cauliflower and hummus got alone so well in the mouth! I was excited about falafel yet it wasn't that great than I expected since it was really hard outside and greasy as well as a bit salty. If they make it less frying and less salt, that would be better. Market vegetables are kinda salad bowl with yellow rice and sauces. They all looked amazing so I'll get some credits for that for sure. Cheers

Some of the best Mediterranean food in the Austin area! Order anything from Fez and it will taste fresh, delicious, and flavorful. Their chicken is so tender. Their falafels are fried to perfection. The chicken wings are a must -- they're sweet and savory and addicting! The fez fries are good, but a bit much for me. Their regular fries are 10/10. I love that they have so many gluten free options and that I can eat here safely as someone avoiding gluten. I recommend getting it to go, but there are some tables where you can eat at. It's just outside The Good Lot. Staff is kind!

Food is very tasty and fresh. Their plating is like you're at a restaurant and not a food truck. They take pride in seasonal menu and have amazing weekend specials. Definitely a must visit if you're ever in CP. Come early coz parking gets nuts but it's worth it!

Fez is the best Mediterranean food in the area! They serve classics like hummus and lamb skewers, but also unique dishes, deserts, and specials that I love trying. The food truck is parked at "The Good Lot" along with a few other trucks, and there is plenty of outdoor seating under the twinkling string lights of the lawn. The employees at Fez are always super friendly, and remember me and my family every time we go. I would highly recommend both Fez and The Good Lot for your next meal or gathering!

Love this food truck! Food is always fresh and flavorful. Today's special offering was Moroccan Carrot Soup, so good. Get it while it lasts.

Fez Austin is a food truck located at the Good Lot. There's a shared parking lot for Fez and the other establishments here. I ordered the Lamb and Beef Wrap, which came out to just under $10. It took a while for the food to come out; I waited about 15 min for just a wrap. Although the wrap was delicious, I was a bit surprised that it didn't come with more meat or a small side. The wrap itself wasn't very big and I finished the wrap still hungry. They do have 2 picnic tables located right next to their truck, which is very convenient to just sit down and eat. You don't hear too much of the music or people talking from the biergarten, so it was relaxing and peaceful. I may choose to try some of their other menu items next time.

Everything (to include anything) that you order here tastes as fresh as it looks! From that first bite... just close your eyes and you'll be transported to the Costa Brava of Spain and indulge in the rest of your meal. Serious food for the serious foodie!! Will return for many, MANY more meals

Best trailer at the good lot! The loaded fries are amazing, I know I'm going to crave those! The staff at the trailer are super sweet and the food is really fast. Beet hummus is different but so delicious and a great way to get your veggies in. Definitely order some extra pita bread though we also got the chicken wrap (not pictured) to go and had it the next day and it was yummy too. I will definitely be back.

Simply one of the best places to go for Mediterranean comfort foods. The beef/lamb is seasoned perfectly. The loaded fries never disappoint.

The customer service is always amazing across all the employees, but especially the nice older guy. I have ordered their lamb gyros, which are always on point with huge servings. One of the few meals I actually like uncooked tomatoes in. The tzatziki sauce is so perky, it compliments the seasoning of the extremely flavorful and tender lamb perfectly. The Gyro Plate was one of the first "bigger" meals that I got. It tasted heavenly and was worth the extra price from the gyro wrap. It was my first experience with their hummus, which is some of the best I've ever had. I brought some home to my family because they sell tubs of hummus to go (for a similar price to what you could get at HEB, actually, and much better) and they ate it all within minutes. This has been a regular thing too. During lent I would order a lentil soup, pita, and falafel side that totaled at just under $6. This is an incredible price for how good it is. The falafels are genuinely the best falafels I have ever tried, crispy (but not hard) on the outside, and fluffy (not soggy) on the inside. Flavor was amazing. Just last week I ordered a lamb kebab plate. Folks, be prepared if you order this. This meal is HUGE. The lamb was heavenly, and I was really happy that they grilled the kebabs with some onions and peppers, really added flavor. The kebabs are made to order, so they're always fresh. Its worth the wait fellas. Come back and give this one a try if you're not rushed. Can I also mention they gave me a free soda on this one? What a nice restaurant! They're always quick except for kebabs (but give 'em the grace because its fresh cooking). 10/10 restaurant, give it a shot!

We ordered the half order falafel with hummus, mint lemonade, lamb kabob platter, and beef kabob platter. Everything but the salad came in large Texas style portions. I requested the beef be cooked to medium and the temperature was perfect. Tips: Substitute the tahini in the kabob platters for tzatziki and request garlic sauce on the side. The garlic sauce enhances the flavor of rice.

However, I'll think about coming here again because I didn't feel a good vibe with the service. We had to go look for someone to show us the table even though the place was empty for early lunch. Then, to get drinks or even the order was a problem. It took so much longer than usual. Our waitress was rude, and seemed bothered that we showed up. Then someone else came as the waitress and she was preoccupied with other tables and barely checked on us. A regular lunch which would've been one hour became almost two because of the lack of service. My friend had to stand and look for someone to give us a box to take out the good we couldn't eat because it was getting late and also to get the check because No one came in to check on us at all. It was almost like pulling teeth to get a regular service let alone good service. Again, the food was really good, and that alone was the only positive.

Thanksgiving came around and we had zero desire to cook or clean. Our "plan" (and I use that word…read moreloosely) was Golden Corral. We figured if we got there early, we'd beat the crowd. Cute of us, honestly. We pulled up and that parking lot looked like Beyoncé was performing. Cars everywhere: on the grass, on the curbs, people creating their own imaginary parking spaces. People circling like it was Black Friday. Absolutely not. We left with no backup plan and even less hope. Pulled up Yelp and I remembered that Dimassi's buffet had been on my radar for months, but was it open? Called them up and CHA-CHING!!! Money! They were open, guys. That phone call felt like hitting the lottery. Thanksgiving was saved. We arrived and Dimassi's was calm, clean, and the buffet bar was fully stocked with hot food fresh out of the kitchen. They had your Mediterranean favorites: dips, salads, gyro meat, dolma, chicken kabobs, saffron rice, the good garlicky toum, warm potatoes, fresh pita, everything. They even prepared a turkey for patrons who wanted some. Wow. They understood the assignment. Now a couple things could be tweaked. I like my baba ganoush served warm...and maybe they could have had some lamb options? But, honestly? For a buffet on Thanksgiving at $23 a person ($9 for the 3 yr old with us), they delivered HARD. Dimassi's didn't just feed us...they rescued us from the Golden Corral Hunger Games. Thank you for being open. Thank you for coming through in the clutch. You saved Thanksgiving.

Parking is plentiful right in front of the restaurant. We came by on a Saturday around 1 PM, worried it might be packed, but it was actually pretty quiet. You can sit anywhere you like, grab a plate, and pay when you're done. The space is large and open, with three full rows of food and drinks plus a dedicated station for fruit and desserts. Everything was fresh, not overly salty, and there were plenty of options. My favorites were the hummus with eggplant (so flavorful with great texture), the salad and cucumber salad (fresh and refreshing), the dolma (perfectly done), gyro (tender and tasty), baked cauliflower (so good), fried chicken (juicy, crispy, and not salty), falafel (extra crunchy), and the lentil soup (simple but delicious). And don't miss their coffee at the checkout--it has a hint of warm spice and is the perfect finish after a meal. Surprisingly, I ended up loving the vegetable dishes even more than the meats. Overall, yes, $26 per person is on the higher side (what doesn't cost these days, right?!), but it's a great spot to try a variety of Mediterranean dishes that are fresh, simply seasoned, and let the ingredients shine--perfect whether you're new to the cuisine or just want a bit of everything.

It's a quaint, small shop at the end of a strip mall, so wasn't super busy on a Friday afternoon, but food came out hot and quick. Portions will definitely keep you full. I opted for a beef kofta wrap and it was good, albeit fairly fatty. You get a grilled kofta, a super thin pita, some veg and some sauce, but it's fairly drenched and the fatty beef is flavorful and got some char, but it's heavier than what one might expect a wrap to be - that said, they have a lot of wrap options if you want something else leaner.
